Hila E. Drenon

Services for Hila Evelyn Cummins Drenon, 87, Cameron, Mo., formerly of Madison, Kan., will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home, Madison, Kan.

Burial will be in the Jamesville Cemetery, west of Hamilton, Kan. The family suggests memorials to the Madison Education Assistance Fund 200 Club, c/o Wilson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 488, Madison, Kan. 66860-0488.

Mrs. Drenon died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at the Cameron Community Hospital, Cameron, Mo. She was born Feb. 8, 1914, in Eureka, Kan., and had grown up in Madison, graduating from Madison High School in 1931 and from Wichita, Kan. Beauty School with a cosmetology degree. After her marriage she and her husband owned and operated the Drenon Printing Co., in Kansas City, Kan., for many years. She was a member of the Cameron Christian Church and the Cameron Senior Citizens.

Her husband of 37 years, Victor Maurice Drenon, died in 1973; her parents, Charles W. and Mary Ellen Hutchins Cummins; five brothers; and three sisters, all preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Dolores Ann Albertini, Maryville, Mo., Gaylene Sue Perry, Kansas City, Mo., and Gwenda Lynn Bruhn, Cameron; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Bessie L. Hamlett

Services for Bessie L. Taylor Hamlett, 89, Osage City, Kan., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Maple Hill Funeral Home, Kansas City, Kan.

Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hamlett died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at the St. Francis Hospital, Topeka, Kan. She was born in KCK. She was a member of the Westport Presbyterian Church, and later attended the Village Church while she lived in Clearview City.

Her first husband, Norman Taylor, preceded her in death, and her second husband, Donald Hamlett, died Feb. 4, 2001.

Surviving are three step-daughters; and one sister-in-law, Jeanne Penner, Osage City.

Gary W. Leefrom

A Funeral Liturgy for Gary Willard Leefrom, 54, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCK.

Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., KCK, where the rosary will be said at 3 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the Greater Kansas City Foundation, 1014 W. 59th St., Kansas City, Mo. 64111.

Mr. Leefrom died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at Providence Medical Center. He was born Aug. 1, 1946, in KCK, and was a lifelong resident. He just retired from the Foundation Workshop Inc., after 36 years of service. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

His father, Willard B. Leefrom, died in 1995.

Surviving are his mother, Hattie K. Leefrom, of the home; an aunt and uncle; and cousins.

Ronald Main

Services for Roland "Hook" "Leroy" Main, 83, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Merriam Christian Church.

Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Amos Family Funeral Home of Shawnee. The family suggests memorials to the Merriam Christian Church, 9401 Johnson Drive, Merriam, Kan., 66203.

Mr. Main died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center. He was born in Searsboro, Iowa. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Merriam Christian Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Seabees Construction Battalion; a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; the Operating Engineers, Local 101 Retirees Club and the Old Time Pickers Fiddlers and Singers.

He was preceded in death by a son, Garold Main; and one daughter, Donna Mead.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Margaret Main, of the home; three sons, Delbert Main, Marvin Main and Ricky Main; two daughters, Judith Ebbers and Roxanna Uhlig; two brothers, Raymond Main and Melvin Main; two sisters, Eleanor Caeser and Irene Campbell; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Fernando C. Molina

Services for Fernando C. Molina, 49, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Simmons Funeral Home, 1404 S. 37th St., KCK.

Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Molina died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at the home. He was born Dec. 11, 1951, in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1995. He was a cabinet maker for 17 years with the Avis Furniture Co., Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of the El Buen Pastor Baptist Church, K. C., Mo.;

Surviving are his wife, Guadalupe Molina; three daughters, Anna Ibanez, Sarai Molina and Marily Molina; one son, Samuel Molina, all of the home; his mother, Dionicia Molina, Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico; and two grandchildren.

William W. Moore

Services for William W. "Moe" Moore, 55, Kansas City, Kan., were held Saturday at the Strangers Rest Baptist Church, KCK.

Cremation. The Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Home, Kansas Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Moore died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at the home. He was born Sept. 8, 1945, in KCK, and was a lifelong resident. He was a supervisor at the Johnson County Mental Health. He was a member of the Strangers Rest Baptist Church, the Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity, was a 1964 graduate of Sumner High School. He was an Army veteran and also had been a distance runner.

Surviving are one sister, Carla Boykin, Port Hueneme, Calif.; and a dear and devoted friend, Joy Carroll, KCK.

Saundra E. Saunders

A memorial service for Saundra Elaine Saunders, 57, Madison, Wis., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., was held Friday, Feb. 16, at the Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison, Wis.

The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dr. Saunders died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, in Madison. She was born Oct. 20, 1943, in Kansas City, Kan., and had lived in Madison since 1973. She had received her undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of Kansas; her master's in curriculum and instruction in nursing; and a doctorate in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Surviving are two brothers, Donald Saunders, Overland Park, Kan., and Steve Saunders, Milwaukee, Wis.; one sister, Laura Saunders Triplett, KCK; five nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

Mae G. Chamblin

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mae G. Chamblin, 84, Mission, Kan., will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Joseph A. Butler and Son Funeral Home, 19th and Minnesota Ave., KCK, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. The family suggests memorials to Catholic Charities, 2220 Central, KCK 66102.

Mrs. Chamblin died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She was born in KCK, and was a Bishop Ward High School graduate. She was a member of the Business Women's Association.

Her husband, Charles Chamblin Jr., preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Charles Chamblin and Larry Chamblin, both of Overland Park, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

John W. Dean Jr.

Services for John "Johnny" W. Dean Jr., 16, Bonner Springs, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Bonner Springs Baptist Church, K-32 and Bluegrass Drive.

Burial will be in the Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Bonner Springs Baptist Church or the John Dean Memorial Fund, wit the proceeds going to the Bonner Springs High School Band, c/o the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.

Mr. Dean died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, as a result of a car accident in Bonner Springs. He was born Jan. 9 1985, in Kansas City, Kan., and was a lifelong Bonner Springs area resident. He was a junior at the Bonner Springs High School, where he was involved with the school band. He was a member of the Bonner Springs Baptist Church and was employed at Petsmart in Shawnee, Kan.

His maternal grandfather, Hobert D. Coon, died Oct. 4, 2001; and his paternal great-grandfather, Anthony Novick, died in July 2000.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, John W. Dean Sr. and Kathy Dean, Edwardsville, Kan.; his mother, Susan Dean, of the home; his birth mother, Kimberly Gomez, KCK; four brothers, Virgil Moppin, Jason Moppin and Stephen Roberts, all of KCK, and Zachary Dean, of the home; three sisters, Tena Moppin and Stephanie Roberts, both of KCK, and Lacey Dean, Edwardsville; his paternal grandparents, Jess and Teresa Gonzalez, KCK; and his maternal grandmother, Thelma Coon, Bonner Springs.

L. Paul Gallagher

A Mass of Christian Burial for L. Paul Gallagher, Kansas City, Kan., was held Saturday at the Strawberry Hill Museum Chapel.

Inurnment was in the Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, Ariz. The family suggests memorials to Strawberry Hill Museum, Marian Hall, Providence Place or Catholic Charities. The Skradski Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gallagher died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at Providence Place, KCK. He was born in Cherokee County, Kan., and was educated in Columbus, Kan. He was employed at Phillips Petroleum Co. for more than 43 years, retiring in 1971, as superintendent of raw and refined products at the Kansas City refinery. Upon retirement he moved to Sun City, Ariz., returning to KCK in 1998.

His wife, Anna E. Lobeck Gallagher, died in 1986.

Surviving are one step-son, Eugene J. Ashley, KCK; two granddaughters; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Theresa J. Munjak

A Mass of Christian Burial for Theresa J. Munjak, 44, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Skradski Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 6 p.m.

Ms. Munjak died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at the home. She was born in KCK, and was a lifelong resident. She was a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Munjak; and one brother, Michael Munjak.

Surviving are her mother, Patricia Munjak, Edwardsville, Kan.; her former husband, Leo Weber, KCK; one son, Jason Munjak, KCK; two brothers, John F. Munjak, Lenexa, Kan., and Larry J. Munjak, Roeland Park, Kan.; two sisters, Rosemary Blevins, Overland Park, Kan., and Rita Haas, KCK; many nieces and nephews; and one grandson.

Dorothy Walker

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy "Mitzi" Cindrich Walker, 72, Independence, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 708 N. 4th, Kansas City, Kan.

Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, KCK. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., where the rosary will be said at 3 p.m. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Walker died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at the Medical Center of Independence. She was born in KCK, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Independence.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Kenneth P. Walker, of the home; one son, Kenneth M. Walker, Merriam, Kan.; two sisters, Ann Bratty, KCK, and Josephine Oryall, Independence, Mo.; many nieces and nephews; and two grandsons.

Lois L. Boring

Services for Lois L. Boring, 83, Bonner Springs, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan.

Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, 9201 Ward Parkway, Suite 300, Kansas City, Mo. 64114.

Mrs. Boring died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at the CLC of Bonner Springs. She was born July 4, 1918, in Leavenworth, Kan., and was a lifelong KCK resident. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church; the Sherman Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 8; past president of Quindaro and Northwest Junior High School PTA's and the KCK Council of PTA's; Indian Springs Walkers; and the Transit Golden Age Club.

Her husband, Roy Dale Boring, died in 1988.

Surviving are three sons, Terry Boring, Belton, Mo., James Boring, San Marcos, Calif., and Craig Boring, O'Fallon, Mo.; one daughter, Sharon Boring Goldbeck, Bonner Springs; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
