William Albert Henderson Jr., 59, Kansas City, Kan., passed away Dec. 28, 2003, at the VA Hospital. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Heartland Cremation & Burial Society.

Helen Lee Lewis

Helen Lee Lewis, 76, Kansas City, Kan., died Dec. 26, 2003, at Providence Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Thatcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

He was born April 12, 1927, in Morrilton, Ark.

Survivors include one son, James Lewis, KCK; and one sister, Dorothy M. Donley, KCK.

Paul L. Mobiley Jr.

Paul L. Mobiley Jr., 55, Kansas City, Kan., died Dec. 27, 2003, at Providence Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Bethel Seventh day Adventist Church. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paul Mobiley Sr. Scholarship Fund in care of the First Baptist Church, Fifth and Nebraska, KCK.

He was born March 5, 1948, in KCK.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Mobiley; on son, Paul L. Mobiley III; and two daughters, Rita Brown and Vick Wrenn.

Andrew Peters

Andrew Peters, 81, Kansas City, Kan., died Dec. 23, 2003. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Mrs. J.W. Jones Memorial Chapel. Cremation.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Peters, KCK; and one son, Jay Peters, KCK.

Willie J. Watts

Willie J. Watts, 43, Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Kansas Chapel. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the chapel. Burial in Lincoln Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.

He was born Jan. 17, 1960, in KCMO. He was a security guard for Research Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Annette Watts, KCK; three sons, Leighton Watts, Jason H. Watts and Dominck Watts, all of KCK; one daughter, Valarie M. Watts, KCK; his mother, Willie Watts-Birmingham, KCK; three brothers, Nathaniel Watts, Larry D. Watts and David F. Watts, all of KCK; two sisters, Dinah M. Harvey and Valarie B. Jackson, both of KCK; and a host of grandchildren.

Hazel I. Huddleston

Hazel I. Huddleston, 94, Kansas City, Kan., died March 31, 2004, at the Overland Park Manor. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Maple Hill Funeral Home.Graveside services will be Saturday, April 3 in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Birchtree, Mo. Friends may call noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Huddleston was born June 29, 1909, in Thomasville, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Lee Huddleston, one son, Lawrence Ray Huddleston, two daughters, Mary Ann Huddleston and Jessie Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Miller, KCK, and Sue Heim, Roeland Park, Kan.; one brother, Norman Fisher, O'Fallon, Mo.; two sisters, Louise Andrews, West Plains, Mo., and Jean Trantham, Thomasville, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Darrell Wayne Mathia

Darrell Wayne Mathia, 49, Bonner Springs, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Chapel with committal to follow with a service in Lenape Cemetery near Bonner Springs.

Darrell was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Lawrence, Kan. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Mathia, in 1977, and one niece, Amber Coleman, in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Janetta Mathia, of the home; one son, Scott Mathia; one daughter, Jennifer Spellman, Bonner Springs; one granddaughter; his mother, Evelyn Fairbanks, Burns, Kan.; his father, Harold Mathia, KCK; and two sisters, Melinda Redmond, Decatur, Ark., and Darla Coleman, Burns.

Leo Arlan Weber

Leo Arlan Weber, 47, Kansas City, Kan., passed away on March 30, 2004, at his home. Leo attended Raytown South High School and was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. He worked as a journeyman tree trimmer for the past 24 years and was a working partner in the Eagle Tree Services for the last eight years. As a boy, Leo's interest included the Boy Scouts, competitive roller skating and scuba diving. More recently, Leo enjoyed woodworking, anything to do with tools and the great outdoors. At various times, Leo trained horses, worked cattle, performed maintenance on old houses and was a jack-of-all-trades. Leo was always willing to help someone with a project but most of all loved to spend time with his family.

Leo is survived by his wife Karen S. Weber and was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Alberta Weber. Surviving children are Mandy Young and her husband Russell, Joel Weber and his wife Teresa, and Stephanie Clark and her husband Charles. Surviving siblings include Theresa Tuttle and her husband Steven, Lee (C.L.) Weber and his wife Shirley, Bill Weber and his wife Jean, Loretta Lopez and her husband the Rev. Joe, Jim McAllister and his wife Glenda. Leo is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Chuck and Shirley Simpson. Siblings by marriage include Chuck and Nancy Simpson, Janis and Scott Castle, Patricia and Tim Farr, Debra and John Mott, Diana and Bill Schrum, Jerry and Lisa Simpson, Richard and Pam Simpson, Carol and Jason Lundy, and Kevin and Christine Simpson. Additionally, Leo leaves 22 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express appreciation to Heartland Hospice and the VA Hospital for all their care and support.

There will be a visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 3, with a memorial service immediately following at D.W. Newcomer's Floral Hill Chapel, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to KU Cancer Research Heartland Hospice or simply plant a tree in Leo's honor.

Adam Hogan Jr.

Adam Hogan Jr., 34, Kansas City, Kan., died April 19, 2004, at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1969, in Kansas City, Kan.

Survivors include his father, Adam Hogan Sr., KCK; his mother, Lola Hogan, KCK; his step-mother, Linda Hogan, KCK; three brothers, Anthony Heard, Derrick Sexton and Daniel Hogan, all of KCK; Ella Cook, Loretta Heard and Michelle Taylor, all of KCK; and one sister, Lora Matthew, KCK.

Lindley Earl Jackson "Lee, the Old Dusty Cowboy"

Lindley Earl Jackson "Lee, the Old Dusty Cowboy," 72, Kansas City, Kan., died April 26, 2004, at Parkway Care Home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 30. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at the Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880 Shawnee Drive.

He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Faye Jackson, and one brother, Phillip Jackson.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Phillip Jackson; two brothers, Carl and Eldert Jackson, Lovington, Ill.; two sisters, Carmen Lord and Ruth Logsdon, Pekin, Ill.; and several grandchildren, in-laws and friends.

Vivian F. Hill

Vivian F. Hill, 91, Grandview, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Monday, April 26, 2004, at the Little Sisters of the Poor. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Simmons Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 11 a.m. Thursday at the Simmons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill was born April 24, 1913, in Eldon, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf Hill.

Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Snyder and Carole Stronach, both of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Zora Messinger, Shawnee, Kan.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family request that memorial contributions may be given to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Road, Kansas City, MO 64138.

Robert E. "Scooter" Montgomery Jr.

Robert E. "Scooter" Montgomery Jr., 47, Overland Park, Kan., died April 24, 2004, at the home. Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hill Chapel in Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial in D.W. Newcomer's Crematory. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Montgomery, of the home; two daughters, Amanda Wooders Montgomery and Alisha Hipsher; two grandsons; his mother, Betty Busch; two sisters, Debbie Zeto and Valerie Wright.

Angel Rose Scholl

Angel Rose Scholl, 2, Merriam, Kan., died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at the home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Porter Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital or Kansas City Hospice, Carousel Program.

Angel was born June 4, 2001, in Merriam.

Survivors include her mother, Amy Scholl; her father, Juan Lanto; one brother, Ryan; and her grandparents.

Glenn R. Smith

Glenn R. Smith, 75, Kansas City, Kan., died April 25, 2004, at the Overland Park Manor. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Maple Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Smith, KCK; one son, Glenn Roger Smith, KCK; one daughter, Sandra Sue Russell, Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Ralph E. Smith, Norco, Calif., and Alane E. Smith, Council Bluffs; three grandchildren; five nieces; and two nephews.

Charles O. Warren Sr.

Charles O. Warren Sr., 50, Kansas City, Kan., passed away Sunday, April 25, 2004, in Branson, Mo. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Meyers Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment at the Gate of Heaven. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Cancer Action, 1831 Minnesota Ave., KCK, or the American Heart Association, Greater Kansas City Division, 9401 Reeds Road, Overland Park, KS 66207-2533.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Warren.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, married 30 years, Denise Warren, of the home; one son, Charles O. Warren Jr., of the home; one daughter, Shelly L. Oliverio and her husband, Darren, Olathe, Kan.; his mother, Dorothy Modlin and step-father, James Modlin, Fort Myer, Fla.; one sister, Barbara Cavanaugh and her husband, Mark, KCK; one step-granddaughter, Lexie Poulson; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen J. Blinzler

Helen J. Blinzler, 79, Shawnee, Kan., died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. The Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 6 p.m.

Helen was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Blinzler, one son, Christopher, one sister, Norita and one brother, Ed.

Survivors include seven children, William Blinzler, Katherine Manion, John Blinzler, all of KCK, Carol Omenski and Robert Blinzler, both of Wichita, Kan., Sharon McGregor, Canton, Ohio, Joanna Delaney, Cumberland, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Schranz, St. Louis, Charlotte King, Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Tom Fennesy, John Fennesy, both of KCMO; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Betty J. Decker

Betty J. Decker, 79, Kansas City, died April 25, 2004, at the North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Decker was born Dec. 4, 1924, in KCK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence I. Decker, on Oct. 12, 1997.

Survivors include one son, Richard L. Decker, Raymore, Mo.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Adelen Decker, Shawnee, Kan., Lois Wigglesworth and Shirley Bowman, both of Pomona, Kan.; and one brother, David Wigglesworth, KCK.

Pleas W. Lewis

Pleas W. Lewis, 94, Kansas City, Kan., died April 22, 2004, at the home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at the Thatcher Funeral Home. Visitation was 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.

Lewis was born on Dec. 28, 2004, in KCK.

Teremun Andrew Stampley Jr.

Teremun Andrew Stampley Jr., 2, Lenexa, Kan., died April 22, 2004, at the home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at the Zion Travelers MBC. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday April 30, at the church. Burial in Chapel Hill.

He was born April 2, in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include his parents, Teremun A. Stampley Sr., KCK; his mother, Daree S. Sutton, Lenexa; one brother, Xavier Stampley, KCK; five grandparents; five great-grandparents; and one great-great-grandparent.
