Yvonne Richards

Yvonne Richards, 78, Windsor, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Mo.

She was born June 30, 1926, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Grove Cadamy Arnett and Eula Pearl (Hyatt) Arnett. On Oct. 28, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo., she married Erwin Eugene Richards, who survives of the home.

Yvonne worked at Katz, Skaggs and Osco Drug Stores in Kansas City, Kan. Yvonne and her husband owned and operated a variety store and laundry mat in St. Mary's, Kan., for five years before selling and moving to Marengo, Iowa, where they owned Richards Variety Store for 10 years. Mrs. Richards was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, Yvonne is survived by two daughters, Nancy L Flatters and her husband, Jim, Windsor, Mo., and Linda Yvonne Columbus, Detroit, Mich.; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Clayton; three grandchildren, Jesse Shane Flatters, Kristen Nichole Flatters and Lauren Elizabeth Troxel; one brother, John Hyatt Annett, Kenosha, Wisc.; one sister, Hattie Delma Roe James, Tulsa, Okla.; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by two children in infancy, Connie Elizabeth and Pamela Rae Richards, a half-sister, Francis Fay (Arnett) Martin and a great-nephew.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with the Rev. Doug Hall officiating. The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hadley Funeral home, Windsor, Mo. The family suggests memorial fund contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor.

Enid Louise Wells Stedman

Enid Louise Wells Stedman, Houston, Texas, formerly of Wichita, Kan., was born May 26, 1917, in Marshall, Mo., and joined her family in heaven on July 31, 2004. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Houston and a former member of St. Elizabeth Ann in Wichita.

The daughter of Mary Gue Wells and Felix H. Wells, the youngest of three children. Her parents, sister, brother and husband, Howard A. Stedman, preceded her in death. Enid grew up in Marshall and Higginsville, Mo., where her parents owned and operated a restaurant. She was a homemaker, loving mother and enjoyed bowling, reading, cooking, working in her garden, caring for her pets and watching the birds in the birdbath.

She is survived by two sons, Walter W. Stedman, Kansas City, and Stephen C. Stedman, Houston, three grandchildren, Paul H. Stedman, Kansas City, Todd A. Stedman, Wichita, and Heather Stedman-Ruiz, Lansing, Kan.; five great-grandchildren, Jessica and Alyssa Stedman, Justin, Tyler and Bailey Stedman. A special thank you to the wonderful caregivers who attended her in her home in Houston.

The Rosary will be said at 7 p.m., followed by visitation, Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Resthaven Mortuary. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th St., Wichita, KS. Interment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Wichita.

Jesus V. Tello

Jesus V. Tello, 71, Kansas City, Kan., died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the Rosary at 7 p.m.

Mr. Tello was born in Ixtlandelos Hervores Michoacan, Mexico. He was preceded in death by one brother, Rafael Tello, and one sister, Silvia Bratcher.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Tello, of the home; four sons, Carlitos Tello, Chuchin Tello, Lorenzo Garcia, Jose Garcia; five daughters, Betty De Bruin, Ramona Guerra, Cecilia Cervantes, Martha Macias and Ester Regalado; three brothers, Alvaro Tello, Vicente Tello, Tony Tello; two sisters, Delia Tello, Teresa Tello-Delgado; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Kimberly "Kim" Williams

Kimberly "Kim" Williams, 42, Overland Park, Kan., died Aug. 2, 2004. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.

James Williams

James Williams, 84, Kansas City, Kan., died July 29, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 5 at the church. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Survivors include four sons, James Williams Jr., Kirk Williams, Clyde Williams and Otha Williams, all of KCK; and four daughters, Celia Trice and Linda McElroy, both of Kansas City, Mo., Doris Williams and Cheryl Williams, both of KCK.

Harry Daniel Bowman

Harry Daniel Bowman, 71, Bonner Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at his home in rural Bonner Springs. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the Avalon Cemetery in Avalon, Mo. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Alden Harrington Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or Avalon Cemetery Fund in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.

Dan was born May 16, 1933, in Chillicothe, Mo. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepmother, Gertrude Bowman, and two brothers, Max and Kenney Coburn.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of the home; two sons, Jason A. Bowman, Bonner Springs, Chad M. Bowman, Basehor, Kan.; one grandchild; four sisters., Shirley Breeden, Darlene Wilder, Bette Peer and Dotty Duncan, all of Chillicothe, Mo.; two brothers, Dean Bowman, Wheeling, Mo., and John Bowman, Fort Worth, Texas.

Letha Ilee Johnson

Letha Ilee Johnson, 87, Kansas City, Kan., died Aug. 3, 2004, at the Medical Lodge of Kansas City, Kan. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Emerson Cemetery, Emerson, Iowa. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Maple Hill Funeral Home.

Letha was born Dec. 25, 1916, in Chillocothe, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank Wayne Johnson, in 1972, one son, Frank Wayne Johnson Jr., in 1987, one brother, Paul Johnson, and one sister, Lucille Brown.

Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Turner, Cameron, Mo., and Kathleen Hampton, Indianola, Iowa; three sons, Gillis Duane Johnson, KCK, Donald E. Johnson, Nashville, tenn., Wilbur Johnson, Elk Horn, Iowa; one sister, Shirley Fosher, Houston, Texas; one daughter-in-law; special caretaker; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Joseph N. McNealey Sr.

Joseph N. McNealey Sr., 51, Kansas City, Kan., and formerly of Bonner Springs, on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph N. McNealey Sr. Memorial Fund in care of Commercial State Bank or the funeral home.

Daisy O. Broughton

Daisy O. Broughton, 96, Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Broughton was born in Saline, Mo. She was preceded in death by three sons, Dale, Gale and Jerry Broughton, one daughter, Donna May Lucas, and one sister, Minnie Lafolette.

Survivors include 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Pauline Denk

Pauline Denk, 94, Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Joseph A Butler and Son Funeral Home, 19th Street and Minnesota Avenue, where the Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Denk is survived by her children, Gerald Denk, Robert Denk, Joe Denk, Dolores Denk and Lorraine Beiriger; two brothers, Tom Denk and Harold Budfuloski; and two sisters, Edith Laundy and Agnes Wedge.

Herbert F. Horner

Herbert F. Horner, 97, Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven Baptist Church, Kansas City Hospice or Sisters, Servants of Mary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcellous and Mary Dennison Horner.

Survivors include his wife, Edith M. Horner; Edith M. Horner; two sons, Robert Horner, Olathe, Kan., and Mark Horner, KCK; one brother, Morris Horner, KCK; three sisters, Ethel Earp, Wanda Chick and Mary Rahija, all of KCK; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Roselma Moore

Roselma Moore, 72, Kansas City, Kan., died Aug. 3, 2004, at KU Med Center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moore Sr., one daughter and four brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Moore, KCK, and Robert Moore Jr., Utica, Mo.; five daughters, Sherry Candillo, Gladstone, Mo., Lynda Shaverdi, Deborah Ann Huitt, Sandra Sue Shubert, Bobbie Jane Moore, all of KCK; three brothers, Bobby Gene Greer, KCK, Gerald E. Greer, Bonner Springs, and Ronald A. Greer, Shawnee, Kan., 24 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

Florence P. Chamberlin

Florence P. Chamberlin, 99, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at Trinity Village Medical Center. A private interment will be held at Imperial Gardens Cemetery in Pueblo, Colo.

She was born on Aug. 5, 1905 at Waldron, Mo.

There are no immediate survivors.

Elberda W. Chinn

Elberda W. Chinn, 88, of Kansas City, Kan., died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Mrs. J.W. Jones Memorial Chapel. Burial at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Aug. 17, at the chapel.

She was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Forest City, Ark.

Robert Docman

Robert Docman, 85, of Kansas City, Kan., died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Private burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17.

He was born Aug. 31, 1918.

He is survived by five sons, Robert G. Docman, Gary M. Docman and Steve E. Docman, all of KCK, and John P. Docman of Olathe, Kan.; one daughter, Connie Macan of KCK; one brother, Frank Docman of Henderson, Nev., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Henry H. Henderson

Henry H. Henderson, 78, of Kansas City, Kan., died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Providence Medical Center. Funeral services will at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Meyers Family Funeral Home. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17.

He was born July 22, 1926, in Butler, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Henderson, of the home; one son, Michael Henderson of KCK; one sister, Ida Myers of Harrisonville, Mo.; nieces and nephews.

Charles M. Lees

Charles M. Lees, 79, died Sunday, Aug. 15, at Providence Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

He was born Aug. 18, 1924, in Kirksville, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie U. Lees, of the home; two sons, Paul A. Lees of Topeka, Kan., and Charles Lawson of Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, Donna Fittro of Edwardsville, Kan., and Angela Lawson of KCK; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Marvin Millsap

Marvin Millsap, 81, of Joplin, Mo., died at Friday, Aug. 13, 2004. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, Kan.

He was born Nov. 5, 1922, in Edwardsville, Kan.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Millsap; one son, Rex Millsap of Joplin, Mo.; one daughter, Marcia Snyder of Olathe, Kan.; two grandchildren.

Robert L. Pohlabel

Robert L. "Bob" Pohlabel, 55, of Mansfield, Ohio died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at the home. He was formerly of Lima, Ohio and Kansas City, Kan. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 2004 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 15, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. A wake service will be from 8 p.m to midnight at the funeral home.

He was born December 2,1948, in Lima.

He worked for Sprint Telephone Co., for 35 years in Lima, Ohio. He moved from Lima to the Mansfield, Ohio office of Sprint in 1991, making their home in Shelby, Ohio. In 1999 he was transferred to Sprint Corporate staff in Kansas City, Kan., where they lived until the time of his illness. Then they returned to Mansfield so they could be closer to their sons. He was first married to Cecilia M. Pfenning who died in 1975. He then married Joyce Kayser who survives. Mr. Pohlabel was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jouce (Kayser) Pohlabel. Two sons, Eric (Heather) Pohlabel and David (Shannon) Pohlabel of Mansfield, Ohio; four sisters, Donna Marie (Don) Smith of Lima, Ohio, Marilyn Kay (Oliver) Smith, Findlay Ohio, Elaine Ann Pohlabel-Anderson, Lafayette Ohio, Mary H. (Bill) Stonegill, Elida Ohio.

Dorris Richards

Dorris Ethel Richards, 94, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at Providence Place. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Rosedale Cemetery, Wathena, Kan.

She was born June 28, 1910, in Wathena, Kan.

She is survived by one brother, Clarence Richards of Kansas City, Kan.; one niece.
