Rosary Service will be 9:30am Thursday July 30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Rd, Shawnee, KS., with visitation to follow. Funeral Mass Services will be 10:30am and the Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.

Kansas City, Kan. — Danny Lee Jones, age 51 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Wednesday July 29, 2009 at home from a short, difficult battle with Multiple Myeloma. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 4th at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, with the entombment to follow at the Mt. Muncie Cemetery Mausoleum in Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Camp Quality or Bikers for Babies Foundation in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral home.

Kansas City, Kan. — Nancy Catherine Marney, 74, of Kansas City, MO Passed away Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at North Kansas City Hospital surrounded by her family and friends and priest Father Al Rockers. Funeral Mass Services will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, KS with burial to follow at 11:00 am, Friday, August 7, 2009 in the Leavenworth National V.A. Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS.

Kansas City, Kan. — BETTY PETTEY JESPERSEN, 90, of Overland Park, KS., passed away July 7, 2009 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Metropolitan Ave. United Methodist Church. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 AM. Private family burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Metropolitan Ave. United Methodist Church.

Sarah E. Richardson
Sarah E. Richardson, 86, of Liberty, MO a former Real Estate Owner died on December 24, 2009. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 p.m. with Memorial services following at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Mrs. Richardson owned the Sarah E. Richardson Real Estate Company and was a realtor for more than 35 years, retiring in 1990. She was a Certified Residential Broker and Appraiser and graduated from the Kansas Realtors Institute.
She was a Past President of the Wyandotte County Board of Realtors and was Realtor of the Year in 1978. She was formally a Director of Kansas Association of Realtors, Charter member Wyandotte County Chapter of the Women's Council of the National Association of Real Estate Boards, Director and Sr. Vice President Kansas City, Kansas Area Chamber of Commerce and an honorary lifetime member.
She was active in the United States Chamber of Commerce, Kansas City Kansas Woman's Chamber of Commerce, on the Advisory Board of Board of Public Utilities, listed in "Who's Who in Real Estate" and was a Past Director of Westgate State Bank and Zonta International.
She was preceded in death by her son, John Richardson,two sisters, Sylvia Hamilton, Dorothy McGrath, and two brothers, William Walinow and Joe Walinow. She is survived by her husband Joe Richardson of Liberty, MO, son, Michael D. Richardson, Liberty, MO, two nieces, Virginia Waller and Karen Loveland and one nephew, William Walinow. Barbara Margaret Hraback
Barbara Margaret Hraback of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Sunday September 20, 2009 at home.
Funeral Mass Services will be 11:00a.m. Thursday Sept. 24 at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (94th St. & State Ave.) in Kansas City, Kansas with burial to follow in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at a visitation from 10 to 11 prior to the Mass also at the church.

Jessie Fidel
Our sweet Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandma and Nana went to be with the Lord on August 17, 20ll.
She was 92 years old. Mother lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Lenexa, KS. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the St. Franscis Basailica Catholic Church in Santa Fe NM.
A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the MeGee Funeral Home in Santa Fe NM. She will be buried in Santa Fe, New Mexico next to husband Philip Fidel.
Jessie was born 08-19-1918 to F. J Merhege and Latife Owen, in Roumieh, Lebanon. Upon entering the United States, they settled in the state of New Mexico. Jessie was the oldest of eleven children in this country. She met the love of her life Philip Fidel and married in the St. Francis Basilica.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, great uncle Mike ,sisters Jenny Michael, Afifie Zaunon (Lebanon), Orelia Jabbour(Lebanon) ,brothers John, James, Junior and Michael, daughter in-law Joan Fidel, sisters-in-law Barbara Merhege, Mrs. Rose Fidel. Nabeha Koury, brothers-in-law Gene Finch, Arthur Michael Sr., Fidel Brothers; Joe, John, Toufik, Nabeeh. She is survived by her son Philip (Fran) Fidel of Utah/Arizona, daughter Shirley (Ted) Kotch of Lenexa Ks., Sisters Mary (Jim) Million, Espanola, Helen Finch Espanola, brother Joseph Merhege of Espanola..Granddaughters; Erika (Jason) Newell, Ks. Susan McDaniels, WA. Nancy McDaniels, UT. Sally (Allan) Thompson, UT ,Janna(Steve) Hoiberg, CO, Grandson Steve McDaniels of WA, Great Grandchildren; Justin (Robyn)Nelson, UT, Britney(Paul) Wilkinson, UT., Landon (Paige) Nelson, NV, Drew Hoiberg, CO. Great Granddaughters: Payton Newell, and Olivia Newell. Great Grandson, Chase Newell. Great Great Granddaughters: Kennadie Joan Wilkinson, Quinn Nelson, Tessa Mae Nelson. Great Great Grandsons Isaac Nelson, Sawyer Taft Wilkinson, Noah Andrew Wilkinson, Nieces of Santa Fe, Margaret Abouslamen, Rose Fidel, Mae Najjar and Barbara Michael. Nephew, Arthur Michael Jr., of Santa Fe and many more nephews and nieces. Mom worked for the New Mexico State Treasurers Dept. for 25 years. She was very active in supporting Loretto High School and Saint Michael's High School where her children attended.
She was a member of St. Francis Basilica. She was noted for her great cooking of Lebanese and New Mexican foods and took pleasure in preparing meals for her family and friends. Mom lived in her home on Gildersleeve St. from 1941-2005.
The flower garden in her yard was one of pride and joy. All who passed by commented on how nice she maintained the yard.Our heart felt thanks to: Rhonda Meeker, her physical trainer, who exercised with mother three times a week. She helped mother maintain her body strength. She loved mother very much and was a great friend as well.
To our dear friends, Marcia and Alan Kostus, Carolyn and Bob Walla and Diane and Bill Hoeschele who visited her to cheer her up.The most important of all were the unceasing prayers that were offered up for her and our family we thank all of you for your compassion, mercy, grace and friendship.
We will always be grateful for the caregivers that were provided by Elder Care. Julie Azinger , Esther Brown, Joanne Thomas and Fassika Tadegegn , Rustee Thomas and Rose Villanueva. They cared for our dear mother with such compassion, patience and kindness.We became close friends and we will miss seeing them daily.
Our grateful thanks to Eileen Parks and Tom Brislin, and Bobbie Lyanslpn, mother.
Lastly, our mother was a Proverbs 31 woman who had the fear of the Lord and great reverence to the Almighty Lord. We thank her for our Christian upbringing and the love and compassion she gave us all the days of our lives.
She will be missed by all of us left behind in this dimension but we know that the Lord has her in His keeping and someday we will be reunited with her. Benjamin Franklin Shatto, Jr.
October 21, 1922 – October 17, 2011
Benjamin Franklin Shatto, Jr., 88, passed away in Edwardsville, Kan., Oct. 17, 2011, just a few days short of his 89th birthday.
He was born to Benjamin and Mary Shatto in St. Joseph, Mo., on Oct. 21, 1922.
Following his childhood in St. Joseph, Mo, he served his country proudly for 31 years in the United States Army. He was a World War II veteran and served in the European Theatre, including the Battle of the Bulge mission in the Ardennes.
Following his military career, he continued his connection to the military and its veterans. He served as a volunteer at the Leavenworth VA. Along with his volunteerism, Shatto developed a habit of building model railroad trains in the basement of his home.
He was deeply committed to his faith. He volunteered at St. Patrick’s Church in Kansas City, Kan., and was involved in the Knights of Columbus.
He retired from the Piper School District in 1985. He spent his golden years in Grand Junction, Colo., and Kansas City, Kan. He lived for the past two years at the Golden Living Center in Edwardsville, Kan.
He is survived by two sisters, Annabel and Betty of Kansas City, Kan.; five sons – Mike Shatto of Gold Canyon, Ariz., Benjamin Shatto III of Kansas City, Kan., Frank Shatto of Kansas City, Kan., John Shatto of Kansas City, Kan., and Alan Shatto of Adrian, Mo.
He also leaves behind four daughter-in-laws, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends that all loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Shatto.
Friends and family are invited to attend a wake in his honor on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.
A graveside ceremony at Ft. Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kan., will be held Friday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m.

Michael Payne Sigley
Michael “Mike” Payne Sigley, age 59 of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away September 18, 2009. Private Memorial Service will follow at a later date.
Mike was born on July 6, 1950 in Lawrence, Kansas and was raised in Bonner Springs living at Lake of the Forest from 1959 to 1965 before moving to Boulder, Colorado where he graduated from Boulder High School. He attended the University of Colorado for two years studying Geology.
He owned and operated Mesa Drywall in Longmont, Co., before moving to Las Vegas, NV. in 1989 where he continued in the drywall business. He returned to the Kansas City, Kansas area in 2003 to be closer to family.
He was married to Cynthia VanDyke in Longmont, Co. in 1973 and to this union three children were born William, Lucy and Michael, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father William G. Sigley in 1995.
Survivors include his mother Marjorie Fraley of Bonner Springs, KS., his three children William A. Sigley and wife Heather of Atlanta, GA., Lucy Taylor of Canton, GA., and Michael P. Sigley, II of Las Vegas, NV., one brother Mark Sigley and wife Julie of Broomfield, CO., one sister Mary Ann Brown and husband Rob of Longmont, CO. and four grandchildren Ethan, Chloe, Laurynn Sigley and Van Taylor as well as other extended family and friends.

Bernice Louise Klamet
Bernice Louise (Poje) Klamet, age 85 of Bonner Springs, KS and previously of Linwood, KS., was gathered peacefully by her angels while surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on Sunday Oct. 4, 2009.
Funeral Mass Services will be 11:00a.m. Tuesday Oct. 13 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor, KS., with burial to follow in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Rosary Services will be 5:30p.m. Monday evening at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with visitation following from 6 to 8p.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation or American Cancer Society both in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Bernice was born on September 3, 1924 in Kansas City, KS. one of six children to Joseph and Mary (Jaklevic) Poje. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1942.
She married Vincent “Pete” F. Klamet on April 23, 1955 in Kansas City, KS., Together they raised their three children on their Family Farm in Linwood, KS. Bernice was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bonner Springs and recently had attended Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor.
Her life revolved around caring for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent “Pete” F. Klamet and her siblings Eddie, Bernie, Tillie, Joseph “DoDo” and Bill. Survivors include her three children David V. Klamet of Lawrence, KS., Paul A. Klamet of Linwood, KS., and Anita L. Klamet-Roult and husband Charlie of Bonner Springs, KS., six grandchildren Zachary, Daniel and Stephen Klamet, Stacy Klamet, Vincent and Vanessa Roult, as well as many nieces, nephews and host of friends.
