He is survived by his wife Katherine, 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

Houser, Benjamin V., age 75, died November 11, 2003. He was a control tower operator at Lafarge Corporation, and a farmer. Services were held November 14 at the First Christian Church with burial in the Koger-Cheatham Cemetery, south of Fredonia, under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, 10 children, 1 brother, 1 sister, 29 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

Quigley, David L., age 52, of Puxico, Mo, formerly of Independence, died November 14, 2003. He was a school teacher. Services were held November 18 at Potts Chapel with interment at the Mount Hope Cemetery. Survivors include his wife Judy, 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 brother, 3 sisters.

Myers, Rebecca R. “Becky”, age 19, died November 7, 2003, from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident. She graduated from Labette County High School in 2003. Services were held November 11 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, with cremation following. She is survived by her father Rick D. Myers, Sr. and step-mother, mother Rose M. Drumgoold, 1 brother, 3 step-brothers, 1 step-sister, paternal grandparents, paternal great-grandmother.

Wright, Alisha J., age 21, died November 12, 2003 in Tulsa, Ok, where she had recently moved. Services will be held at 10 a.m., November 19, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home with private family burial in Oakwood Cemetery. She is survived by 1 daughter Quatera Wright, mother Maxine Cavitte, father Phillip Wright, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, a niece, maternal grandmother, several aunts and uncles.

Clemens, Taylor Mae, 10 month old daughter of Harvey Eugene and Evelyn Kay (Kinzle) Clemens, died December 26, 2003 in Valdosta, Georgia from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Her family had recently moved to Valdosta from Burlington, Ks. Graveside services were held January 3, 2004 at the Farmington Cemetery north of Fredonia under the direction of Timmons funeral Home in Fredonia. Survivors include her mother Evelyn Kay Kinzle, her father Harvey Clemens, 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 step-sister, grandparents Lela McGee, Linda Edwards, Randall Kinzle, great-grandparents Gilbert and Wanda McGee, great-great-grandparents Alma Opal Cline, Vera Radford.

Crites, Grace M., age 71, retired baker and cook, died January 3, 2004. Services will be held at 10 a.m.,Wednesday, January 7, at the LIghthouse Baptist Church, Independence, Ks, with burial at the Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale. She is survived by 1 daughter, 1 step-daugher, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 grandchldren, 1 great-grandson.

Oakleaf, Martha Elizabeth, age 97, died December 28, 2003. She was a homemaker. Services were held January 2, 2004 at Potts Chapel of Cherryvale with interment at Fairview Cemetery. Survivors include 1 nephew, 1 step-grandson, 1 step-granddaughter, many step-great-grandchildren.

Peyton, Ruby Elizabeth, age 93, died January 2, 2004. She was a homemaker. Services were held January 5 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel in Coffeyville with burial in Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. She is survived by 1 sister, Bessie Marie Padley of Cherryvale.

Chaney, Myrvel Eileen, age 80, died December 27, 2003. Services were held December 31 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by her husband Edwin, 1 son, 1 stepson, 1 daughter, 6 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 4 great-grandchildren.

Funk, Charlotte Marie, age 78, died December 31, 2003. Services were held January 3, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church with interment in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. She is survived by 1 sister, 2 brothers, 1 son, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Kinzer, Sr., Robert Smith, age 93, died December 27, 2003. He had worked as a grinder in Aurora, Illinois. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held December 30 at the Church of the Brethren under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville.

Lichliter, Forrest Eugene “Gene”, age 88, formerly of Arkansas City, Kansas, died December 29, 2003 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. He was a typesetter. Graveside services were held January 2, 2004 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Centerville, Indiana. A memorial service was held January 3 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Service, Inc. Survivors include 1 stepson, 4 step-granddaughters, numerous cousins in Indiana.

Claiborne, Guy, age 66, died December 29, 2003. He was a cattleman and owner and operator of a trucking company. Services were held January 2, 2004, at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel in Fredonia with burial in the Coyville Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Donna, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 3 grandchildren, 1 brother.

Malone, David L., age 54, died December 27, 2003. He was employed by Cobalt Boats. Graveside services were held December 31 at Weakley Cemetery under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife Jill, mother, 1 brother, 1 sister.

Manthey, Margaret Ellen, age 74, died January 5, 2004. She was a homemaker. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, at Timmons Funeral Home. She is survived by 1 daughter, 1 son, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

Reinhart, Henry James, age 87, died January 1, 2004. He was a retired farmer. Graveside services were held January 6 at the Fredonia City Cemetery under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home. He is survived by 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 brother, 1 sister, 2 grandsons, 3 great-grandchildren.

Warner, Wilbur L., age 79, died January 2, 2004. He was engaged in farming. He was an avid pilot. Services were held January 3 at the First Christian Church with interment at the Oak hill Cemetery in Elk City, Ks under the direction of Potts Chapel. Survivors include 1 son, 1 daughter, 1 sister, 7 grandchildren.

Wolverton, H. Leon, age 78, died December 28, 2003. He was a welder. Memorial services were held January 2, 2004 at the Wesley United Methodist Church under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Henrietta, 2 sons, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.

Baldauf, Pauline H., age 85, died April 2, 2004. She was a homemaker. A family Celebration of Life Service was held at the graveside on April 7, at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Graves Funeral Home. She is survived by 1 daughter, 2 brothers, 1 sister, 1 niece, 1 nephew.

Haun, Cecil M., age 93, died March 31, 2004. He was a retired Baptist minister. Services were held April 3 at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Caley Cemetery, west of Coyville, Ks. He is survived by his wife Iva, 1 son, 3 daughters, 1 sister, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.

Johnson, Floyd E., age 55, died March 28, 2004. He was retired from D & C Machine & Welding in Independence, Ks. Graveside services were held March 31 at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Sherrill, 1 son, 2 stepsons, 1 daughter, 2 stepdaughters, 1 sister, 1 grandchild, 9 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild.

Nelson, Donald T., age 84, died April 1, 2004. He had been a fireman. Services were held April 5 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood chapel with burial in Restlawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Rachel, 4 sisters, 1 bother, several nephews and nieces.

Richard, Blanche Leona, age 97, died March 29. She was a homemaker. Services were held April 2 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. She is survived by 2 daughters, 2 sisters, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Andrew, Lois Ruth, age 79, died March 30, 2004. She had been a clerk at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita prior to her retirement. Graveside services were held April 5 at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery, under the direction of Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. She is survived by 1 son, 2 daughters, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters.

Leon, Soledad M. “Donna”, age 79, died April 2, 2004. She had owned the Donna Maria Restaurant in Cherryvale, Ks. Services were held April 6 at St. Andrew Catholic Church Parish Center with interment at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Potts Chapel. Survivors include 2 sons, 1 daughter, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 2 grandchildren.

Hann, Helen Berniece Park, age 90, died March 29, 2004. She had been a telephone operator and was a homemaker. Graveside services were held April 3 at the Altoona Cemetery under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home. She is survived by 1 brother, 2 sisters-in-law, 3 step-sons, 7 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild.
