Bullock, Virginia A., age 94, former Independence resident, died May 30, 2004 in Leesburg, Va. Services were held June 4 at the Church of the Epiphany, Episcopal, with interment at the Mount Hope Cemetery
under the direction of the Potts Chapel. She is survived by 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson.
Burr, Gary R., age 46, died June 4, 2004. He had been a police officer in Sedan, Ks and Caney, Ks, and a State Prison Guard in Mississippi. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel. Memorial services were held June 7 at the Riverside Southern Baptist Church with private family interment at a later date. He is survived by his mother and stepfather Diana and Leland Whitson, 2 sisters.

He is survivd by 3 sons, 1 sister, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
