GEORGE "BUDDY" SEELY
MEADE -- George "Buddy" Seely, 65, died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at his home in Meade.
He was born Dec. 25, 1934, to Willy Robert and Sarah (Moore) Seely in Sunset, Ark.
He retired from Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, in January of 1998.
He married Judith Ann Bergen March 2, 1962, in Mingo. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Raymond Seely, Meade, and Richard and wife, Wendy Seely, Ulysses; two daughters, Roxann Paramore and husband, Raymond, Little River, and Rosalee Hulett and husband, Allen; his mother, Sarah Hutchens of Arkansas; four brothers, James, Donnie and J.D. Seely, all of Arkansas, and Charles Hutchens, Meade; three sisters, Daisy Harrison, Ruby Golab and Martha Cooper, all of Arkansas; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2000, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade, with the Rev. Wayne Wilson presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.
Burial will be at the Plains Cemetery
in Plains.

MYRTLE C. PARSONS
HUGOTON -- Myrtle Parsons, 96, Hugoton, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Hugoton.
She was born Nov. 19, 1903, to Warren and Orina Joy in Saguache, Colo., and had been a resident of Stevens County since 1922.
She married James Roy Parsons Sept. 6, 1921. He died in 1965.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hugoton, the American Legion Auxiliary and was a past matron of Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Hennigh and Mary Hurt; and one brother, Robert Joy.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Hugoton, with the Rev. Kevin Yoakum presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church.
Paul's Funeral Home of Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
ELIZABETH H. HARDER
MEADE -- Elizabeth H. Harder, 90, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City.
She was born Aug. 20, 1909, to Isaac T. and Katherina "Katie" (Harms) Brandt in Jefferson County, Neb.
She married John H. Harder April 14, 1932, in rural Meade. He died Jan. 13, 2000.
She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Meade for the past 75 years. She was a former employee of Lone Tree Lodge and Moon Mist Motel.
She was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women's Missions Society, all in rural Meade. She had also been involved
with a home extension unit.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Harder and wife, Rachel, Pullman, Wash., and Kenneth Harder and wife, Kay, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Betty Loewen and husband, Merle, Ellinwood, and Marlene Smith and husband, the Rev. LaVern Smith, Port of Spain, Trinidad; two brothers, Pete Brandt, Rickreall, Ore., and Arnold Brandt, Dallas, Ore.; one sister, Anne Ediger, Dallas, Ore.; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edwin and Andrew; and one great-grandchild, Bridgett Unruh.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in rural Meade, with the Rev. David Cummings presiding.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

CHESTER A. CLINE
HUGOTON -- Chester A. Cline, 83, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center.
He was born August 11, 1916, to John and Maggie Cline at Iuka.
The entire family moved to Texas County Okla. in 1932.
In 1938 he met and married Mildred Smith of Hardesty, Okla. They were married 61 years and eight months.
Survivors include his wife of rural Hugoton; three daughters, Magdalene Brier of Liberal, Wilma Jean Hearon of rural Hugoton, and Ramona Webb of Raymore, Mo.; two sons, Dave Cline of Potsburo, Texas, and Roger Cline of Liberal; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lone Star Friends Church of rural Hugoton, conducted by the Revs. Randy Littlefield and Bob Sander.
Interment will be at Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call at Miller Mortuary from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials may be sent to Lone Star Friends Church, Hugoton.
HUNTER MARTIN
Hunter Martin, infant son of Ryan S. and Misty D. (Ledford) Martin, was stillborn Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center.
Survivors include one brother, Daniel Pena-Martin of the home; grandparents, Ron and Cynthia Martin, Hugoton, Frank and Janet Ledford, Moscow, and Harvey Estes, Mountain View, Wyo.; great-grandparents, Clinton and Geneva Martin, Hugoton, and Ralph and Norma Stoddard, Hugoton; and great-great-grandmother, Alba Waylands, Hugoton.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hugoton Cemetery
with the Rev. Randy Littlefield presiding. Miller Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
JOEDEE "J.D." WHITAKER
JoeDee "J.D." Whitaker, 31, Liberal, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Port Arthur, Texas.
He was born Sept. 30, 1968, at Canyon, Texas, the son of Less J. and Marie (Aduddell) Whitaker.
He attended and graduated high school at Strausburg, Colo. in 1986. He farmed in the Amarillo, Texas area and was a feedlot cowboy several years at Hugoton before he moved to Liberal in 1996. While in Liberal he worked for Elkhorn Construction and Harvey & Sons Electric. He was an electrician for W-Industries of Houston, Texas, and worked at Port Arthur.
He married Barbara Lynn Short on August 2, 1997, at Liberal. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Cordell Allyn Whitaker, Liberal, and Destrie Jay Whitaker, Rolla; two daughters, Barbara Lynnette Naegele, Liberal, and Kamrie Elizabeth Whitaker, Rolla; his parents, Chris and Marie Shipley, Aurora, Colo., and Less Whitaker, Lewisville, Texas; one brother, Nick Shipley, Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Hollie Teehan, Nichal Shipley and Stacey Chavarria, all of Aurora; grandparents, Winnie Whitaker, Amarillo, Pearlie Aduddell, Claude, Texas, and Grant Shipley, Aurora.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Saville presiding.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the JoeDee Whitaker Memorial Fund, in care of Golden Plains Credit Union or may be left at the Miller Mortuary.
SUSAN MARIE McCANN
Susan Marie McCann, 47, Hooker, Okla. died Monday, May 22, 2000, at her home.
She was born Dec. 23, 1952, to Maurice and Leora (Jacobs) Holland in Santa Ana, Calif.
The family moved to Hooker and she attended school there from 1960 to 1965. They then moved to Dodge City where she graduated from high school.
On April 18, 1983, she married Donald McCann.
She was a member of the Victory Center in Guymon, Okla., where she was a Sunday school helper.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jason McCann of the home and Tommy Spuehler of Norman, Okla.; one step-son, Steven Spuehler of Nebraska; three daughters, Jamie McCann and Roselee McCann, both of the home, and Jennifer Spuehler of Liberal; two sisters, Jeannie Sherouse, and husband, Jim, Santa Ana, and Kathy Jinks, and husband, Roger, Hanes; two grandchildren, Jeorge Spuehler and Timothy Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Victory Center in Guymon with the Rev. Charles Mendenhall officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery
directed by the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Hooker.
Memorials may be given to the family of Susan McCann and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
MABEL L. "MICKEY" INGRAM
GARDEN CITY -- Mabel L. "Mickey" Ingram, 87, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at St. Catherine Hospital.
She was born Dec. 15, 1912, to James and Mamie Butler at Wellington.
She was a 1931 graduate of Wellington High School.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Liberal, and also the Altar Society. She had been attending St. Mary's Catholic Church in Garden City. She was also a former volunteer with the Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary. Her hobbies included gardening, especially roses. At one time she cared for 164 rose bushes at once.
She married Leamon H. Ingram Jan. 15, 1948, at Wellington. He died Aug. 4, 1992.
Survivors include one son, Michael Ingram, and wife, Amber, Holcomb; two grandchildren, Allison and Abbigale Ingram, Holcomb; two sisters, Peggy Butler, Wellington, and Margery Evans, Eugene, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Marsha Ingram; two brothers, Frank Butler and Dale Butler; two sisters, Gertrude Botkin and Edith Young.
Welcoming home service with recitation of the rosary will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. also on Wednesday. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday. All services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Liberal.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery. The Rev. Henry Hildebrandt will preside over the services. Friends may call today from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kitch Funeral Home.

ANTHONY DON "TONY" McCAIN
Anthony Don "Tony" McCain, 27, Liberal, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born Dec. 18, 1972, to Bill and Linda (Seitter) McCain in Weatherford, Okla.
He attended Liberal High School and received his certificate in collision repair at the Liberal Area VoTech. He was a chef at King's Barbecue for the past 12 years.
He married Adrian Anderson Jan. 1, 1998, in Liberal. She died April 1, 1999.
Survivors include his parents; his fiancee, Eva Kerns; three brothers, Billy Jason McCain and wife, Tiffani, Mark McCain and Skylar McCain; and one sister, Shasta McCain, all of Liberal; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Loraine Seitter, Hinton, Okla.; two nieces, Keelie and Kearston McCain, Liberal.
He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Evelyn McCain and Junior McCain.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Western Avenue Church of Christ, Liberal, with the Rev. Wade Tannehill presiding.
Friends may call at Miller Mortuary from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Interment will be at a later date in Hinton, Okla.
