HUGOTON -- Edna Marie York, 86, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born Oct. 10, 1914, to Raymond and Mary (Slipsager) Domino in Clyde.
She married Robert Eutah York July 3, 1935, in Clyde. He preceded her in death.
She and her husband moved from Holcomb to Hugoton in 1978.
She was a homemaker and teacher for several years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hugoton and OES in Ulysses.
Survivors include one son, Ronald E. York and wife, Colette, San Marcos, Calif.; one daughter, Karen R. Middlebusher and husband, Jerry, Daphne, Ala.; three sisters, Geraldine Shaw and Mildred Buche, both of Sun City, Ariz., and Jeanne Braddy, Manhattan; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, L.M. Domino; and grandson, Robert E. York.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Hugoton with the Rev. Robert Baily presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.
CARRIE G. EMBREE
MOBERLY, Mo. -- Carrie Gail Embree, 40, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Moberly, died Feb. 18, 2001, at her home in Columbia.
She was born Jan. 9, 1961, to Glen and Barbara (Foster) Pierce in Neuremburg, Germany.
She married Greg Embree Dec. 27, 1980, in Moberly. He survives.
She was chief clerk in the insurance department at Ellis Fischel Hospital in Columbia for the past 10 years.
Other survivors include her parents; two sons, Brad Embree, Columbia, and Corey Embree, of the home; a mother-in-law and step-father-in-law, Deanna and Gene Anderson, Dallas, Ga.; a father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Keith and Peggy Embree, Madison, Mo.; two brothers, Michael Pierce and wife, Denise, Cairo, Mo., and Pat Pierce, Columbia; a grandmother-in-law, Opal Embree, Macon, Ga.; one brother-in-law, Mark Strange, Liberal; one sister-in-law, Sabrina Campbell and husband, Rick, Dallas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Jeanie Strange, Aug. 23, 1999.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Cater Funeral Home Chapel in Moberly with the Rev. John Davidson presiding.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery
in Moberly.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cater Funeral Home in Moberly.

Memorial services for Robert E. and Billie J. Parr will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Turpin Mennonite Church in Turpin, Okla.
Services will be led by the Rev. Stan Lehnert.
ADDIE A. SCHREIBVOGEL
SATANTA -- Addie A. Schreibvogel, 72, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at CMHIP Hospital in Pueblo, Colo.
He was born Dec. 20, 1928, to Anton and Margaret (Urban) Schreibvogel in Finney County.
He married Doris J. Jacobs Aug. 29, 1950, in Garden City. She survives.
He and his wife moved from Garden City to Satanta Jan. 2, 1965.
He had worked for Harding Glass in Garden City for 10 years. After moving to Satanta, he was employed by Jim Miller at Miller Farms and Miller's Feedyard.
He also farmed for five years on his own. He then worked for Satanta District Hospital for eight and a half years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta.
His hobbies included fishing and doing yard work.
Other survivors include one son, Ray A. Schreibvogel, Liberal; one daughter, Kim Marie Holley and husband, Michael, Satanta; four brothers, Tony Schreibvogel and Richard Schreibvogel, both of Garden City, Fritz Schreibvogel, Lakin, and Francis Schreibvogel, Ardmore, Okla.; one sister, Kay Cates, Bullhead, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Matt Holley, Amanda Holley and James Schreibvogel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Wendlin Schreibvogel, Herman Schreibvogel and Leonard Schreibvogel; and three sisters, Fina Meier, Bina Meier and Ann Herrman.
Vigil services will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Satanta with Father James E. Baker and Father Louis Trung Hoang presiding.
Burial will be at the Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette.

LARRY H. PIERCE
Larry H. Pierce, 51, of Liberal, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Liberal.
He married Robin Rae Amann May 29, 1982, in Eagle Rock, Mo. She survives.
He graduated from Liberal High School in 1967, and worked for Pepsi for 10 years as a route salesperson and later as supervisor.
He had been employed by National Beef Packing Company for over 20 years, and prior to his death he was special project manager of quality assurance.
He was a member of the All Nations Church in Liberal, where he taught children's church.
He also coached Kids Inc. wrestling.
Other survivors include his father, Dillard Smith, Liberal; three sons, Larry Pierce, Houston, Texas, Justin Ray Thompson and wife, Diana, and Houston James Pierce, all of Liberal; three daughters, Grace LeAnne Pierce, Houston, Heather Dawn Ward and husband, Ron, Bentonville, Ark., and Amy Darlene Thompson, Grand Junction, Colo.; one brother, Jimmy D. Smith, Liberal; six grandchildren, Ashlynn Mohr, Kyler Mohr, Zachery Ward, Sydney Ward, Justice Thompson and Alie Thompson; one uncle, Pete Owens, Oklahoma City; and three aunts, Betty Blake and Pat Hinton and husband, Gene, all of Liberal, and Gertrude Brooks, Allardt, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Smith.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Holman presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Liberal.
Friends may call to sign the register from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8-11 a.m. Monday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal. The casket will remain closed.

CAROL A. BOND
HUGOTON -- Carol Ann Bond, 65, of Hugoton, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born June 30, 1935, to Nels George and Opal Eileen (Purinton) Nelson in Hutchinson.
She married William C. "Bill" Bond April 24, 1954, in Hutchinson. He survives.
She and her husband moved from Hutchinson to Hugoton in May of 1962.
She was employed by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for 18 years as a pipeline pilot.
She was the second woman in Kansas to receive an Air Transport Rating, and she logged over 18,000 hours of flying time.
She was a certified instrument flight instructor for single and multi-engine planes.
She also showed quarter horses and did many woodworking projects.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hugoton, the American Quarter Horse Association, International Woman Pilots and the Ninety Nines Inc.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael T. Bond and wife, Stacy, Ulysses, and Gregory W. Bond and wife, Tami, Hugoton; one brother, Richard Nelson and wife, Rose, Wichita; one sister, Donna Hutchins, San Ramon, Calif.; six grandchildren; one granddaughter; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton with the Rev. Rod Hinkle presiding.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.

HERMAN G. MUNSON
MOSCOW -- Herman Gale Munson, 73, of Moscow, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Satanta District Hospital in Satanta.
He was born Oct. 1, 1927, to Guy Eugene Sr. and Alma Almira (Higby) Munson in Chandler, Okla.
He married Iva Jean Palmer Dec. 22, 1943, in Richfield. She survives.
He had been a resident of Moscow since 1940.
He was a custom cutter and land leveler.
He was a member of the Moscow Baptist Church in Moscow.
Other survivors include two sons, Kenneth L. Munson and wife, Parma, Sublette, and Darroll L. Munson and wife, Susan, Moscow; two daughters, Janie Gilbert and husband, Charlie, Moscow, and Barbara Williams and husband, Duane, Hugoton; two brothers, Guy Eugene Munson Jr., Tulsa, Okla., and Omar Morris Munson, Grand Prairie, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Monroe Munson and Tommy Burden; and three sisters, Opal Mae Allen, Dixie Munson and Viola Hillhouse.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Moscow Baptist Church in Moscow with Pastor Larry Bradford presiding.
Burial will be at the Moscow Cemetery
in Moscow.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton and from 10 a.m. until service time at the Moscow Baptist Church.
