DONNA R. ZIMMERMAN
Donna R. Zimmerman, 65, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born March 4, 1936, to Lawrence J. and Martha E. (Barnes) Moorhead in Greensburg.
She attended school in Haviland.
She married Lawrence E. Zimmerman Jan. 31, 1953, in Mullinville. He died July 7, 1972.
She worked for the Medicalodge in Kinsley, and for many years for the laundry department at the Liberal Inn in Liberal. She retired in 1996.
She was a member of the Liberal Friends Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, both of Liberal.
Her hobbies included arts and crafts and quilting. She was an avid Redskins fan.
Survivors include four sons, Tony Lyle Zimmerman and wife, Candy, Dodge City, Dewain Lee Zimmerman and wife, Rhonda, Grand Island, Neb., David Leon Zimmerman and wife, Laura, and Mark Allen Zimmerman, all of Liberal; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Sperry and companion, Carol Gore, both of Westminster, Colo.; one sister, Vera Brown, Greensburg; and 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at the Miller Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Littlefield presiding.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today at the Mullinville Cemetery
in Mullinville, with the Rev. Dennis Zimmerman presiding.
The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association or to the Order of the Eastern Star. Memorials may be sent in care of Miller Mortuary, 908 N. Lincoln, Liberal, KS 67905.
CORINE J. WOKATY
SATANTA Corine J. Wokaty, 72, of Liberal died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
She was born Sept. 9, 1928, to William Lester and Mary M. (Salee) King in Dathon, Okla.
She married Robert F. Wokaty March 3, 1945, in Cherokee, Okla. He survives.
She moved with her husband from Forgan, Okla., to Satanta in 1961.
She was the wife of a former pastor of the Full Gospel Church in Satanta.
She attended the Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal, and she was a member of the Full Gospel Evangelistic Association.
She was a homemaker, and her hobbies included gardening and raising flowers.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert D. Wokaty and wife, Tena, Richmond, Va., William L. Wokaty, Oklahoma City, and David M. Wokaty and wife, Debbie, Greenville, S.C.; one daughter, Amirah D. Ackerman and husband, Mark, Turpin, Okla.; three brothers, Charles King, Joplin, Mo., Robert King, Nev., and Richard King, Joplin, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Troy Wokaty.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal with Pastor Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery
in Liberal.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday at the Faith Tabernacle Church in Liberal.

DONALD W. KINSER
HUGOTON Donald W. "Donnie" Kinser, 71, died Sunday, Sept 2, 2001, at his home in rural Hugoton.
He was born Nov. 10, 1929, to Chester and Louise (Duprey) Kinser in Stevens County.
He married Ida Ruth Bevan May 28, 1950, in Center, Colo. She survives.
He was a life-long resident of the Hugoton area.
He attended Mapleleaf Country School, and graduated from Hugoton High School.
He and his father farmed, and they operated the Kinser Auction Service in the Hugoton and surrounding areas for many years.
He worked with the Stevens County Fair Board, 4-H youth, the Stevens COunty Fair, and the Kiwanis consignment auction. He was made an honorary member of the Kiwanis Club.
He helped with the Barclay College Auxiliary Auction for more than 30 years.
He was a lifetime member of the Bethel Friends Church in Hugoton, serving on various committees, and was currently on the building committee.
His hobbies included spending time with his friends and making new ones.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry Kinser and wife, Mileta, Fresno, Calif., and Wibur Kinser and wife, Julie, Hugoton; one daughter, Karen Schechter and husband, Tom, Hugoton; five grandchildren, Scott and Tina Schechter, Derek and Stacy Dillinger, Lacy Kinser, and Heath and Alex Kinser; one great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Schechter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Friends Church with Rev. Eric Mason presiding.
Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.

LEONARD L. MILBURN
CANADIAN, Texas Leonard Leland Milburn, 71, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, in Canadian.
He was born to Ira L. and Dottie (Eversoll) Milburn in Rolla.
He married Norma Faye Baker July 8, 1950 in Santa Fe, N.M. She survives.
He moved to Canadian from Liberal 38 years ago.
He was retired from King Well Service and worked as an independent petroleum consultant.
He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Canadian.
He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.
Other survivors include two sons, Wayne Milburn, Cheyenne, Okla., and Paul Milburn, Canadian; four daughters, Roxanne Hicks, Doreen Purcell and Silvia Price, all of Canadian, and Vivian Cornelious, Perryton, Texas; two brothers, Vernon Milburn, Calif., and Don Milburn, Mo.; one sister, Leola Thompson, Mo.;16 grandchildren, Lisa Hooper, Lori Royse, Amy Patterson, Amanda and Lindsey Purcell, Rusty Milburn, Leland Milburn, Tiffany Milburn, Heather Milburn, Amber Milburn, LaDawn Milburn, Tracey Milburn, Felicia and Shawn Cornelious, Jason Milburn and Allen Short; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Central Baptist Church in Canadian with Brother Rick Timmons presiding.
Burial was at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery
in Canadian under the direction of Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors.

Johnson -- Thomas R. Winger, 77, of Johnson died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Stanton County Long Term Care Unit in Johnson.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.

HUGOTON -- Theodore M. Miller Jr., 76, Hugoton, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.

JEFF D. BEAN JR.
MOSCOW Jeff D. Bean, II., 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born Sept. 5, 1926 to Jeff D. and Ella Mae (Terrell) Bean in Tahlequah, Okla.
He married Erma Faye. She died Feb, 21, 1998. He married Wanda Smith March 30, 2001 in Moscow. She survives.
He grew up around the Tahlequah area, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an ammunitions yeoman.
After the war, he graduated from the Chilicco Indian School, and then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Northeastern State University.
He was a member of the Oklahoma National Guard, and served in the Korean War as a mess sergeant. He served with the guard for 24 years and retired as a first sergeant.
He became an educator in 1956 for the Bureau of Indian Affairs at the Chilicco Indian School and eventually earned a master's degree in education. He reitired from the BIA in 1980 at Crown Point, N.M.
He became a farmer, and his interests concerned family, friends, animals and nature.
Other survivors include one son, Jeff D. Bean, III, Salem, Ore.; one brother, Emmett Bean, Compton, Calif.; two sisters, Annabelle Grossman, Arcata, Callif., and Opal Conley, Vian, Okla.; one step-son, Jim Smith and wife, Toni, Moscow; one step-daughter, Kay Christian and husband, Mike, Casa Grande, Ariz.; six step-grandchildren, Stacy Smith, Travis Smith, Tyler Christian, Seth Christian, Treavor Christian, and Channing Christian; and one step-great-granddaughter, Summer Stimpson.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Bean; two sisters, Elizabeth Crowchly and Mary Ross; and one step-great-grandson, Dalton Geist.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Moscow.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Internment Pavilion at Fort Gibson National Cemetery
in Fort Gibson, Okla.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.
