BRAD E. MCDONALD
SALINA -- Brad E. McDonald, 37, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at SRHC SantaFe emergency room in Salina.
He was born June 20, 1964 to Roildon and Joyce Drew McDonald in Hugoton.
He had been a resident of Salina since 1995.
He graduated from Seward County Community College in Liberal, from Emporia State University in Emporia, and he was a graduate student of K-State University.
He was a drama teacher at the Salina Central High School.
He was a member of the NEA and the KNEA.
Survivors include his father of Rolla; one brother, Brent McDonald, Rolla; three sisters, Terri Rankin, Satanta, Jody Popplewell, Oxford, and Miki McDonald, Emporia.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2000.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rolla United Methodist Church in Rolla.
Burial will be at the Richfield Cemetery
in Richfield.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at the Harrell Funeral Home in Elkhart.

MERLE BANGS
ULYSSES -- Merle Bangs, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born Aug. 11, 1922, to Floyd and Bessie (Richardson) Bangs in Liberal.
He graduated from Grant County High School.
He married Viola A. Emerson Jan 11, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives.
He was a farmer.
Other survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Peden) Lofland and husband, Ron, Ulysses, and Mary Wirtz and husband, Bob, Kenai, Alaska; two grandsons, Joe Peden and wife, Suzie, Bloomington, Ill., and Kurtis Peden and wife, Tess, Ulysses; one granddaughter, Pam Wallgren and husband, Rod, Lenora; three sisters, Helen Forsman and husband, Robert, Peggy Tarbet and husband, Howard "Brick", and Jane Eddie, all of Ulysses; seven great-grandchildren, Bryan Peden and Brittney Peden, both of Bloomington, Danielle Nave and Jaclyn Nave, both of Lenora, Tyler Peden and Tanner Peden, both of Ulysses, and Donavan Wallgren and wife, Debbie, WaKeeney; and one great-great-granddaughter, Lauren Wallgren, WaKeeney.
Graveside inurnment services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses, with the Rev. Bill Harrold presiding.

RONALD D. WILLIAMSON
SATANTA -- Ronald Dean Williamson, 63, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette.
KATHRYN M. CURTIS
HUGOTON -- Kathryn M. Curtis, 82, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.
She was born Aug. 2, 1919, to Carl Sr. and Catherine Marie (Kascak) Jones in Stevens County.
She was a lifetime resident of Stevens County.
She married Ralph Murel Curtis June 1, 1940, in Syracuse. He died May 23, 1989.
She was a homemaker. She owned and operated The Flower Nook in Hugoton for 10 years. She worked for Bloodhart Drug in Hugoton.
She was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Hugoton.
She was the sponsor of the Be Boop Dance Club in Hugoton.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie L. Shelite and husband, Marvin, Hugoton; two brothers, Carl Jones Jr. and wife, Verna, Grand Junction, Colo., and Bruce Jones and wife, Pat, Fruita, Colo.; one sister, Jo Brown and husband, Ernie, Eagle, Colo.; nieces Betty Smitherman and husband, Jerry, Kismet, and Sondra Bruner and husband, Jay, Elkhart; and nephew Jim Rogers and wife, Becky, Seabrook, Texas; and several other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three
brothers, Sammy, Donny and Tommy Jones.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Hugoton, with Father Floyd Daharsh presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery
in Hugoton.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.
THOMAS CURTIS REEVES
DENVER -- Thomas Curtis Reeves, 62, former Ulysses resident, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Kindred Hospital in Denver.
He was born Aug. 23, 1939, to Walter Curtis and Wilma Lucille (Howell) Reeves in Garden City.
He was a graduate of the Ulysses High School.
He was a farmer and rancher.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ulysses.
He was a former member of the Ulysses Bit and Spur Club and a member of AA.
Her served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include one brother, Timothy L. Reeves, Ulysses; one sister, Susan Slate, Lakin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, with Dr. Max Clayton presiding.
Private inurnment will take place at the Ulysses Cemetery
in Ulysses.

PAULINE M. DOUGLAS
Pauline M. Douglas, 95, Liberal, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by Miller Mortuary in Liberal.
LINDA M. DOWLING
MEADE -- Linda Marie Dowling, 61, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at Via Christie Saint Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born July 13, 1940, to Lloyd and Vesta (Robinson) Rhodes in Protection.
She married Artie Vestell Dowling June 24, 1960, in Protection. He died Aug. 30, 1998.
She graduated from Protection High School in 1958.
She had been a resident of Meade since 1989, having moved from Protection.
She was a certified nurse's assistant at Meade District Hospital in Meade.
She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Meade.
Survivors include seven daughters, Deborah Teeter, Meade, Vickie Postlewait, Fallon, Nev., May Faroukhtakin, Arlington, Texas, Darla Black and DeAnn Cherry, both of Wichita, Jane Self, Hugoton, and Regina Rodgers, Irving, Texas; two brothers, Darold Rhodes, Albuquerque, N.M., and Ernest Rhodes, Mulvane; one sister, Vesta Campbell, Valley Center; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Rhonda Stutzman.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene in Meade with the Rev. Tom Cahill presiding.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery
in Meade.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.

IDELLA R. HANLON
MEADE -- Idella Rebecca Hanlon, 100, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Lone Tree Compassionate Care Center in Meade.
She was born April 30, 1901, to Henry H. and Susie (Ross) Rodman in Bloomington, Ill.
She married Joseph Guy Cunningham Feb. 1, 1925, in Ashland. He died Dec. 15, 1969.
She married Theodore N. "Ted" Hanlon in Concordia. He died Aug. 27, 2001.
She graduated from Cheney High School in Cheney.
She moved from Ashland to Meade in 1939. She was a farmer and a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Iota Sigma and the Extension Homemakers Unit, all of Meade.
Survivors include one step-son, Neal Hanlon, Wichita; one step-daughter, Dorothy Willard, Meade; one brother, William Rodman, Raytown, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Olney, Newton, and Maybelle Cunningham, Dodge City; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Cunningham; one daughter, Pauline Virginia Cunningham; four brothers, Forrest Rodman, Ray Rodman, Lyle Rodman and Oakley Rodman; and two sisters, Ethel and Mary.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Meade with the Rev. Chuck Mattix presiding.
Burial will be at Highland Cemetery
in Ashland.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at Fidler-Orme Mortuary in Meade.
