She was the daughter of the late Silas and Mary Alice Robinson Releford. The widow of Larry Howard Cannada, Sr.. . Cannada is survived by her three sons William Lee "Buster" Cannada, Larry "Butch" Cannada, and David Lynn Cannada all of Harrodsburg. Two daughters Eloise Mayes and Laura Mae Reddicks both of Harrodsburg. Eight Grandchildren, Two Step-Grandchildren, Twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by four brothers: William, Walter, Grover, and Harvey Releford and two sisters Maudie Cannada and Faye Cornish.

She was retired, having worked at Sportleigh Hall, Mercer Dress, Jackson Chair, and babysitting. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of both the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class and Ready Workers Sunday School Class.

Cartwright, Clayton "Eddie" "Hoss"

He was the son of Frances Robinson Cartwright of Nicholasville and the late Clay Cartwright. Besides his mother, Eddy is survived by his wife of thirty four years, Geraldine Divine Cartwright, his mother-in-law, Betty Divine of Harrodsburg, two daughters Janice (Scott) Bugg and Debbie (David) Teets both of Mercer County. Two sisters Wanda (Johnny) Masters of Nicholasville and Patsy (Billie) Burkhart of Hanes City, Florida. One grandson Zachary Bugg and two granddaughters Cora Brooke Teets and Chloe Teets all of Mercer County. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many special family and friends.

He was in shipping and receiving and had operated a forklift for thirty eight years at Square D in Lexington. He was a very active member of the Grapevine Christian Church where he also served as a Deacon. He was a member of the T.N. Wise #349 Masonic Lodge, was a board member of Camp Calvary, was a member of the National Rifle Association. Eddy was an avid horseman. He loved hunting, farming, and he was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was the son of the late Carolyn Ragle and Harry "Butch" Cheatham of Mercer County. Besides his father, Brian is survived by his wife Lynn Gollihue Cheatham of Irvine, his three year old daughter Heather Nicole Cheatham also of Irvine. Also surviving are his stepmother Wandola Cheatham of Mercer County, his maternal grandmother Mary Rose Bugg of Harrodsburg, two stepbrothers W.T. Sparrow of Lexington and Richard L. Sparrow of Harrodsburg. His half-sister Barbi Maupin of Danville, his two stepsisters Mary Belle Roy and Kim Sparrow Lowery both of Harrodsburg. Brian is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Brian was preceded in death by his step brother Dennis Sparrow.

He was a Baptist. Brian enjoyed working on cars and working with electricity, he was also considered a very talented comedian.

He was the son of the late Truman and Virginia Perkins Conley. Mr. Conley is survived by his two sons Oliver R. Conley, Jr. And Timothy T. Conley both of Harrodsburg. One daughter Melissa Conley of Freeport, Texas one brother Leo Conley of Mercer County, two sisters: Vedra Hall of Collinsville, Mississippi and Juanita Ritchie of Kenderville, Indiana. Two grandchildren also survive.

He had attended Kirkwood Baptist Church and loved horseracing.

He was the husband of Mary M. Cornish. He was the son of the late John Calvin and Lizzie Robinson Cornish. Besides his wife, Mr. Cornish is survived by two daughters: Lana Tingle and her husband Richard of Mercer County and Zoe Anna Sanders and her husband Charles of Mercer County. One sister Mrs. Hugh (Christine) Young of Harrodsburg. One granddaughter Aimee Pryse and her husband John of Burgin, one great-granddaughter Heather Tingle and her mother La Dena Tingle of Washington County. He was preceded in death by one son Roy Calvin Cornish, one grandson Richard Ashley Tingle, two brothers Woodrow Robinson and T.J. Robinson, and one sister Blondella Harmon.

He was a Retired Supervisor and Heavy Equipment Operator of the State Highway Department. He was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church where he was a former Trustee, Custodian, and Usher. In 1975, he founded the Cornishville Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief until his death. He was a Charter Member of Cornishville Ruritan Club, he loved woodworking and was very active in the community.

He was the son of George Washington Davis of Ohio and Louise Herring Davis of Danville. Besides his parents, Gary is also survived by his daughter Amanda Lynn Davis and one granddaughter. One brother George Buddy Davis of Danville. Four sisters Brenda Satterly of Parksville, Darlene Davis of Harrodsburg, Debbie Kaye Tate of Perryville and Judy Lane of Hustonville.

He was a painter for Johnson & Cravens of Nicholasville. When not working he liked to fish.

Gabhart, Nantie Bell

She was the daughter of the late Robert "R.K." Kyle and Hattie Newby Reed. The wife of Murrell Gabhart. Additional survivors besides her husband include: one son: Robert Lewis Gabhart, Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter: Laura Lou Gabhart Bronn, Owensboro, three grandchildren: Traci Gabhart Gann, Juli Gabhart Butler and Kyle Gabhart and one great-granddaughter: Katherine Elaine Gabhart.

She was a graduate of Campbellsville College and a 1940 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.

She was a retired school teacher where she taught in both the Cornishville and Mercer Elementary schools for 32 years. She was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church where she had been a teacher of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a director of the Mercer County Senior Citizens Craft Club and the Hopewell Homemaker's Club. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association. She enjoyed reading and needlework.

She was the wife of William Griffin, Sr., Harrodsburg She was the daughter of the late Carl and Irene Alexander. Additional survivors besides her husband include two sons: Michael Gary McDonald, Jessup, Georgia and Gregory Scott McDonald, Vista, California; one daughter: Cheryl Kate McLemore, Stanford; two step-sons: Robert Griffin, Wellington, Kansas and William Griffin, Jr., Lexington; one step-daughter: Judy Tate, Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

She had been a Registered Nurse for the Harrodsburg Health Care Manor, attended Southside Christian Church, and a graduate of Lexington Community College. She enjoyed reading, scuba diving and bingo.

She was the daughter of the late Eddie VanDyke and Lucy May Smith VanDyke Edwards. She was the wife of Earl Wayne Harris, Sr.. Survivors include her son Earl Wayne (Lois) Harris, Jr. Two sisters Loraine Bell of Lexington and Mary E. (Rev. Herman) Bradshaw, six grandchildren, Maurice, Martina, Nathan Todd, and Cory Harris and Stacey McKee. Eight great grandchildren, one aunt Stella Brown of Harrodsburg, one uncle: Ansel Smith of Cincinnati, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrodsburg.

The husband of Mrs. Stella Lanham Harris for 65 years, 2 months and 22 days. He was born in Casey County to the late George Marion and Nancy Jane Taylor Harris. Additional survivors include three daughters Stella Alene McClain of Georgetown, Agnes Janet Lowery of Lexington, June Ann Kirkpatrick of Harrodsburg. One son Albert Lee Harris of Willisburg. One sister Georgia Slone of Lancaster. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Eight brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

A former truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight in Norwood, Ohio. He also had served as an ambulance driver for the C.C.C. Camp in Lafayette, In. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was a member of Lawrenceburg United Pentecostal Church.

Hourigan, Sally Ann Tyler

She was the widow of Kenneth Hourigan. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Rusha Lee Bottoms Tyler. Survivors include one daughter: Carolyn Hourigan Brown, Louisville; one brother: Donald Tyler, Mercer County; two sisters: Mary Katherine Devine, Harrodsburg and Bettie Mae Murphy, Lexington; two grandchildren: Jacqueline Ann Chappell, Gastonia, North Carolina and Margaret Melissa Brown, Dublin, Virginia; one great-grandson: Elijah Daniel Chappell and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Ellers Memorial Baptist Church, a retired Cricketeer employee and had operated a Mini Home for a number of years. She enjoyed growing flowers.

Howard, Joy Sue

Survivors include her son: Michael Paul Pittman of Harrodsburg; her daughter: April Sue (Aaron) Jones of Harrodsburg; her three brothers: Perry Wayne (Freida) Howard of Mercer County, Jimmy Gill (Yvonnia Gayle) Howard, Harrodsburg and Steven Lynn Howard also of Harrodsburg; three nephews, one great-niece and eight aunts. She was preceded in death by one niece: Brandy Howard.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church. Joy was an avid U.K. Basketball fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going to Bingo. She had also attended Kentucky Business College.

Kirk of Des Moines, Iowa and Mitzi Stephens of Jackson, Mississippi. Two sisters Patricia Ann Lester of Harrodsburg and Polly Ann Quinn of Morganfield, Kentucky. Three half-brothers and four half-sisters, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, the Smithsonian Institute, the North American Blue Bird Society, the Landmark Association, and was the former caretaker of the Old Mud Meeting House. She was the widow of Norman J. Kirk, Sr.
