She was the daughter of Christine Carey Houp of Harrodsburg and the late Virgil Houp. She was the wife of Donnie Webb. Besides her mother and husband, Patsy is survived by her daughter Dana and her husband Bill Erwin of Burgin. One brother Clifford and his wife Patricia Houp of Harrodsburg. Special caregivers Pam Whitehouse and Margaret Johnson, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Ed Houp.

She was a graduate of Barrett Beauty School of Nicholasville. She was instrumental in starting a Kentucky Chapter for A.L.S.. Patsy had traveled to Washington D.C. having met with President George Bush, Congressmen and Senators while working to help create a Bill in Congress which would help expedite Medicare Funds for patients suffering from A.L.S.. She was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 and from 7:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 12:00 noon Wednesday at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, Kentucky 40422 and/or The ALS Association Kentucky Chapter, P.O. Box 910130, Lexington, KY 40591-0130.

The infant twin sons of Jimmy Troy and Shawna Harlow Howard.
Surviving besides their parents, are Paternal Grandparents Jimmy and Gayle Howard of Mercer County, maternal grandparents Stan & Linda Riney of Mercer County and Ralph Harlow, Jr. Of Berea. Maternal great grandmother Alma Bottoms of Harrodsburg and Ralph and Lettie Harlow, Sr., of Harrodsburg.

Graveside funeral services were held 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2003 at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating.

He was the son of the late Ernest and Bertie Leonard Cannon. . Cannon is survived by his brother, Forrest Cannon of Harrodsburg, three sisters Geneva Stakelin and Lorraine Kurtz, both of Lexington and Hazel Arnold of Danville. His caregiver, Dorris Montgomery and family of Harrodsburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers Leo, Charles, and Richard Cannon and two sisters Violet Meredith and Martina Nooe.

He was a member of the Bethel #1 Cumberland Presbyterian Church, an avid basketball and wrestling fan and he loved to play checkers.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2003 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. James Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Gerald Maxwell Kurtz, Forrest Larry Kurtz, Art Brent Arnold, William Moore, Sr., William Moore, II., and Robert Leo Cannon, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

He was the son of the late Russell Smith and Elizabeth Snow Smith of Harrodsburg. Besides his mother, Robert is survived by two sons Randall "Randy" Lee Smith and Joseph Daniel Smith, both of Harrodsburg. Three brothers Russell Gene Smith of Frankfort, Marshall Richard Smith of Harrodsburg, and James Douglas Smith of Hustonville. One sister Carolyn Sue Masters of Mackville and several nieces and nephews.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam.

An assembly line worker at Square D in Lexington, was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and being around children.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 2003 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Releford officiating. Burial with military Honors will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Noel, Virginia S.

She widow of Clinton G. Noel. . Noel is survived by her son Gary C. and his wife Mary Noel of Harrodsburg. Two sisters Margaret Ann Deering of Perryville and Oneeta Barnes of Lancaster. Three grandchildren Julie Hammons and her husband Scott of Burgin, Mark A. Noel and his wife Ginger of Columbus, Ohio, and Laura Noel of Harrodsburg. Two great grandchildren Jessica and Kelci Hammons both of Burgin. She was preceded in death by her brother Roy Sanders.

She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and was a a member of the Retired Teachers' Association. She was an active member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church, having served as a former choir member, Sunday School Teacher, a member of Light and Lively Bible Class, and was also a member of the W.M.U. She also was member of the Hopewell Homemakers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Noel will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert DeFoor and John Hockersmith officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Hammons, O. H. Robinson, Ronnie Barnes, Donnie Barnes, Mike Darland and Kim McWhorter.

Turpin, Jimmy

He was the husband of Barbara Sparks Turpin of Hopewell Road. Additional survivors besides his wife and mother include: one son: Chris A. Turpin of Winchester; one daughter: Stephanie Turpin of Harrodsburg; three brothers: Rev. Edward "Buddy" Turpin, Gary Scott "Scottie" Turpin and Deron Turpin all of Mercer County; two sisters: Brenda Jones of Mercer County and Regina McCandless of Harrodsburg; one granddaughter: Aalayah Purnell of Harrodsburg and several nieces and nephews.

He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army, he also served with the Kentucky National Guard

He was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Christian Friends Sunday School Class. A former thirteen year employee of A.T.R. in Danville and was presently serving as a lineman for Bluegrass Energy. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Christian Life Center at Harrodsburg Baptist Church, 211 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330.

She was the daughter of the late Bev and Sally Roark Reynolds. The wife of Edwin Anderson. Additional survivors include a son Phillip Beverly Anderson of Salvisa. One brother Harry Reynolds of Louisville. Four sisters Edith Singleton, Stroh, In., Margie Haddix of Vicco, Kentucky Ruth Rama of New Port News, Virginia and Marlene Underwood of Las Vegas, Nevada. Several nieces and nephews survive also. She was preceded in death by a brother Charlie Reynolds and a sister Alberta Hensley.

A former school teacher, a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church at McAfee.

Private services will be conducted Thursday October 16, 2003 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Tarry officiating. Interment will be in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.

She was the widow of Henry Reid Milton. She was the daughter of the late Irvin and Addie Bruner Hendren. Survivors include one son Robert Dale Milton of Ashland, Kentucky Two daughters Pat Kolasa Goodlett and her husband Charles of Burgin Elaine Reid Milton of Nicholasville. Three brothers Gene Hendren and Reid Hendren both of Harrodsburg. Ray Hendren of Mackville. One sister Mayme Baber of Harrodsburg. Four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She retired after many years as cook and custodian at the Mackville School. A member of the Mackville Christian Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 8, 2004 at Peters Cemetery in Mackville. Interment will be in Peters Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 7:00 A.M. Sunday until 1:00 P.M. He was the son of the late John Thomas and Roxie Stellner Hays Dossett. He was the widower of Virgie McClain Dossett. Mr. Dossett is survived by his four sons: James Cecil (Joyce) Dossett of Loxahachee, Florida, Carl (Nancy) Dossett of Bardstown, J.T. (Carolyn) Dossett of Warsaw, and Harold (Margaret Summers) Dossett of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Five daughters: Alma R. (Archie) Huffman of Elizabethtown, Roxie E. Pike of Frankfort, Mary (Bobby) Owens of Danville, Martha (J.B.) Lamb of Stanford, and Patricia (Bobby) Price of Harrodsburg. Eighteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Dossett had worked for Elwood Burgin Construction Company in Harrodsburg, was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and was very active in the Mercer County Senior Citizens.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in Harrodsburg with Bro. Stephen Ramsey and Bro. Bill Ray officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Grandsons: Todd Dossett, Nathan Dossett, James Patrick Price, Aaron Dossett, Lee Dossett, and David Drobny, Jr. serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Baker, Members of Mercer County Senior Citizens, and granddaughters: Delores Diane Drobny, Leslie Dossett, Becky Hernandez, Dawn Allen, Tammy Wray, Robin Smith, Kristi Swope, and Lori Price. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

She was the daughter of Fred L. And May Snodgrass Blake of Mercer County. Besides her parents, Jamie is survived by her grandmother Mabel Blake of Florida, her daughter Natalie Blake of Mercer County, her sister Lee Anna (Rodney) Becknell of Lexington, one niece, one nephew, two aunts, and one uncle.

Born October 22, 1963 in Lexington, she was a member of the Gardenside Christian Church.

A private funeral service will be held at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Lexington with Bro. Claude Waldridge officiating. No visitation will be held.

He was the son of the late Miller and Maggie Lambert Brown. Survivors include one son: Robert Brown and his wife Sharon of Ashland, Ky; one daughter: Peggy Britton and her husband Harvey of Tell City, In; and four grandchildren: Rob Britton, Charles Britton, Amy Britton and Kyle Brown.

He was a retired dispatcher from Kentucky Utilities, a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge #777 F & AM and a member of Burgin Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Harvey Britton officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens with Rob Britton, Chris Britton, Kyle Brown, Jack Coleman, James Dunn and Alan Vanarsdall serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday after 7:00 A.M. Thursday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
