She was the daughter of the late Demetrius "Pete" and Maude Weldon Bugg. Widow of the late Cleo Lawson. Mrs. Elliott is survived by her son Gene D. And his wife Dortha Lawson of Harrodsburg; one daughter Mary Geneva Shannon of Pensacola, Florida; one sister in law Mrs. Hazel Bugg of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Five nieces and a special niece and caretaker Christine McGrath of Burgin. She was preceded in death by one sister Frances "Fanny" Gabhart, and her brother Clifford Bugg.

She was retired from Lawson's Jewelers which she and her late husband Cleo Lawson founded in 1941. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she was a member of the Saints Alive Choir and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Widow to Widow.

Funeral service for Mrs. Elliott will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Eddie Russell and Rick Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with William Lee Hayslett, Bobby Burchett, Roy Lee Sanders, Everett Cord, Lindsey Rice, Charlie Lawson, Terry Graham, and David Lawson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Hatcher, Edwin Freeman, Bobby Smith, Wanda Tope, June Hafley, Cammie Smith, Betty Burchett, and Donnie Roberts. Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 and after 7:00 a.m. Sunday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Saints Alive Choir, C/O Harrodsburg Baptist Church, P. O. Box 286, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40502.

He was the son of the late Ballard R. And Love Underwood Burke. The husband of Lucille Blacketer Burke. Besides his wife, Mr. Burke is survived by two sons William Donald Burke and Harry (Glenda) Burke both of Harrodsburg. One daughter Nancy C. (Ronnie) Baker of Lawrenceburg. Two sisters Gladys (Stanley) Watts of Harrodsburg and Garneta (Marcus) Burke Warner of Burgin. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, the Oleika Temple, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In 1982, Mr. Burke retired from Corning after having been a machinist for thirty years. He was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late Lewellen and Elizabeth Catherine Leonard. Mr. Cantrill was preceded in death by his sister Vivion C. Butts.

He had been a farmer and was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 at the Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

She was the daughter of the late Wade H. And Verna Edith Moore Wells. Survivors include her sister Miss Orpha Wells of Harrodsburg and her sister-in-law Frances Wells of Harrodsburg. One nephew Ronnie Wells of Mayo and two nieces Sue Satterly of Mercer County and Rita Isaac of Harrodsburg. Five great nephews and three great nieces also survive.

She had worked at Newberry, Harrod Fashion, and the Old Fort Harrod State Park. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Willisburg. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. To 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 7:00 a.m. Sunday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

He was the widower of Gladys Peavler Claunch and the son of the late Robert E. and Ida Bell Lester Claunch. Mr. Claunch is survived by his niece Ida Mae Underwood of Lexington and three nephews Paul Claunch of Perryville, Clyde Claunch of Lawrenceburg, and Marvin Deavers of Indiana.

He was retired from the Harrodsburg Post Office and was a member of the Cornishville Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Logue officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. To 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday at the Alexander & Royalty Fuenral Home.

She was the daughter of the late Arvil Lee and Sylvia Marie Cox Adams. Survivors include her husband Garnett Peavler, Jr., her daughter Donna Peavler of Lancaster, four brothers: Richard Adams of Lancaster, Donnie Adams of Harrodsburg, Johnnie Adams of Stanford, and Gary Adams of Nicholasville. Five sisters: Barbara Grimes of Nicholasville, Carolyn Davis of Nicholasville, Joyce Phillips of Liberty, Stella Estes of Stanford, and Elsie Johnson of Lancaster. Special friends Matthew Eaves and Dalton Eaves, several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother Larry Glenn Adams and her sister Doris Marie Adams.

She was a homemaker, had attended Grace Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and cooking. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. David Collier officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Richard Adams, Donnie Adams, Johnnie Adams, Gary Adams, Matthew Eaves, and Devon Adams serving as pallbearers. Visitation will begin after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Lung Association, P.O. He was the widower of Wilma King Grimes. He was the son of the late Leonard Grimes and Amanda Parr Gabhart. Survivors include one son: William Ronald Grimes and his wife Betty of Stanford, one daughter: Martha Osborne of Sebastian, Florida; three grandchildren: William Robert Grimes of Plano, Texas, Embra Leigh Woods of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, and Richard Brent Osborne of Charlotte, North Carolina; two step-grandchildren: Bobby Jeffrey Marshall of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Michael Paul Marshall of Danbury, North Carolina; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Chesley, Leslie, and Leonard Grimes; one sister: Ethel Devine and one half-sister: Mary Elizabeth Gabhart

He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II.

He was a retired self-employed Building Contractor, a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II, a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church where he served as a member of the Building Committee, a Trustee, and Sunday School Clerk. Mr. Grimes also had been a Board Member of Southern States, he liked to fish and breaking horses as a young man, he was a U.K. Basketball fan and enjoyed reading.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Billy Grimes, Brent Osborne, Bobby Marshall, Mike Marshall, Tony Devine and Scotty Anderson serving as pallbearers and Charley Robinson serving as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 5:00 P. M. to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Sizemore of Florida, maternal grandmother: Anna F. Snipes of Lawrenceburg; paternal grandmother: Dolores J. Sizemore of Decatur, Indiana, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Private services were conducted Monday at Spring Hill Cemetery. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.

Collier and his wife, Patty, Harrodsburg; one sister: Sandy Sanders and her husband, Lonnie, Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, two aunts, and two uncles. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

She had served as a waitress for Jerry's Restaurant, was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, enjoyed crocheting, was an avid UK Basketball fan and was a member of the Moreland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. David Collier and Bro. Barry Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Joe Lanham, Blake Lanham, Mike Jenkins, Mike Maples, J.T. Thomas and Joe Thomas serving as pallbearers. The widow of Virgil Houp, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Laura Tyler Carey. Survivors include: One son: Clifford Houp; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Edmund Houp, one daughter: Patsy Houp Webb; one grand-daughter: Kimberly Houp; four brothers: William, Herbert, Frank and Omer Carey and one sister: Hulda Peavler.

She was a employee of the Burgin Post Office, a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, flowers and quilting.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13,2004 at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial will be in the Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery with Jimmy Houp, Paul Douglas Houp, Eddie Houp, Jr., Donnie Webb, Bill Erwin, Bobby Carpenter, Elvin Carey and Kenneth Carey serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 12:00 Noon, Saturday until the time of service at the Shawnee Run Baptist Church. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born July 2, 1927 at Wallins Creek in Harlan County, to the late G. W. Ellers former pastor of Harrodsburg Baptist Church and Mildred Caress Ellers. Mr. Ellers grew up in Harrodsburg, a former member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. He moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1944. He served with the U. S. Navy during W.W.II and Korean War. Attended Georgetown College and retired as a salesman. Survivors include one son: Gary Ellers of California. One daughter: Gayle Ellers Hamm of St. Louis, Missouri. Two sisters: Mildred Arens of Harrodsburg and Miriam Copp of Columbia City, Indiana. Two brothers: Jonathan Ellers of Kokomo, Indiana, George Ellers of Salvisa. Two sister-in-laws: Ann Ellers and Dottie Ellers both of Louisville. Several loving nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers William and Frank Ellers. Private services will be conducted at Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister Margret Matherly and her brothers Ancsel Ross, Wilbur Ross, Charlie Ross, and Stanley Ross.

She had worked at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ.
