He was the son of the late Raymond Franklin and Myrtle Mary Merida Miller. He was the husband of Rita Hall. Additional survivors besides his wife include: one son: Robert Steven Miller, Harrodsburg, one daughter: Kimberly Sue Hockensmith, Harrodsburg; three brothers: Walter Dunn, Monroe, Ohio, Wayne Miller, Junction City and Henry Miller, Lawrenceburg; three sisters: Zora "Bea" Abrams, Harrodsburg, Betty Jean Carpenter, Harrodsburg and Mattie McGeorge, Pineville; four grandchildren: Bradley Joseph Miller, Amanda Suzann Miller, Chaz Devin Hockensmith and Isaak Sebastian Hockensmith and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Noah Dunn, Ira "Johnny" Dunn, Charlie Miller, and Franklin Miller and two sisters: Nancy Dunn and Ethel Miller.

He was a 1963 Graduate of Lone Jack High School in Four Mile, Kentucky, was a member of Shakertown Baptist Church and a retired truck driver for UPS where he drove the triple trailers. He was a member of the UPS Circle of Honor, he loved being a grandfather, fishing, and was active with the Mercer County Relay for Life.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 24, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Dunn and Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Robert Steven Miller, Arthur Kenneth Cox, Shawn Hockensmith Bobby Hall, Ronnie Abrams, and David Abrams serving as pallbearers and Shane Abrams, Travis Abrams, Marty Abrams, John Abrams, Michael Abrams, Stacy Jones, Lionel Jones, Mark Jones and George Jones serving as honorary pallbearers.

She was the daughter of the late George and Jeanetta Edwards Trimble. Survivors include: one son: Lynn B. Young and his wife, Sunshine of Georgetown; one daughter: Vicki Cummins, Danville; two sisters: Betty Stevens, Clinton Township, Michigan and Joyce Seiferlein, Port Richey, Florida; two grandsons: Matthew Lynn Shepherd and Andrew Logan Shepherd; two great-grandchildren: Emrey Kate Shepherd and Isaiah Cheyenne Scott; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister: Billie Miller.

Private graveside services will be Thursday, October 21, 2004 with J.C. Young officiating. There will be no visitation.

She was the widow of Mario Pensa. Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Ester Machetto Mino. Mrs. Pensa is survived by one daughter Rosalie Lopresto of Harrodsburg and one son Mario Pensa of Suffern, New York. Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

She was a retired employee from the Bulova Watch Company in New York. She was very active in the St. Andrew Catholic Church, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, she loved music and cooking, and was a world traveler.

Funeral mass will be held 12:00 noon Monday, October 18, 2004 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Muench officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Andrew Catholic Church Building Fund, 1125 Harrodsburg Road, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Carter and Helen McMurry Moss. Survivors include: four sons: Jason Allen Bugg, Edward Lynn Bugg, Lexington, David Thomas Bugg, Hopkinsville, and Everett Lawrence Bugg, Richmond, Ky; one daughter: Brenda Elkins, New Albany, In.; three sisters: June Lovelace, Orlando, Fl., Linda Rabe, Dallas, Tx and Marjorie Davenport, Fleminsburg, Kentucky and seven grandchildren.

She was a former James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital and Hallmack employee, a member of Harrodsburg Christian Church, a former Women's Club member and she enjoyed playing Bridge, making candy and walking.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the Spring Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

She was the wife of M.F. Johnson, Jr of Burgin. She was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Alexander Buck. Additional survivors besides her husband include her daughter: Margaret J. Edwards and her husband, Sam and several nieces and nephews.

She was a farmer and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Britton and Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Jim Belcher, Peanut Riney, Eddie Russell, Thurman Hardin, David Baker, Wayne Carmickle, Allen Monroe, Delbert Hamner, Darrell Russell and Clay Adams serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

He was the husband of Mary Leffew Roberts. He was the son of the late Henry Edward and Mary Helen Stone Roberts. Additional survivors besides his wife include one son: David Roberts and his wife Sara of Harrodsburg; three daughters: Teresa Carmickle and her husband, Wayne; Sharon Roberts, and Donna Horn and her husband, Chris all of Harrodsburg; one step-son: Danny King of Parksville; one step-daughter: Teresa Stratton and her husband, Dennis of Parksville; one sister: Alice Pankey of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Reed Roberts.

He was a carpenter for John Henry Construction for 28 years and retired as a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed camping and fishing.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Frank Preston officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with David Roberts, Wayne Carmickle, Chris Horn, Patrick Horn, Ben Sharp, Dennis Stratton, Dennis Stratton, II, and Vance Reed serving as pallbearers and J.W. Pankey and Eddie Pankey and many friends too numerous to mention serving as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald D Thompson of Rison, Ark., and Lloyd "Doug" Thompson of Lawrenceburg.; three daughters, Bonnie N. Patterson of Harrodsburg, Judith Graham of Marietta, Ga., and Linda Kay Mann of Ravenswood, W.Va.; a brother, Leonard T. Walker of Shawnee, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. the widow of Hershell W. Thompson.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home by Glenn Daugherty and John Hockersmith. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

The daughter of Roger Blake and Lizzie Rita Hamilton Young, she was the widow of Ansel Tharp. She is survived by one sister Eunice Lee Ashley of Eubank, Kentucky. Two nephews Donald Ray Ashley of Somerset and Mark Anthony Ashley of Eubank. One niece Patricia Estes of Eubank. Three aunts, two great nieces and three great nephews survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday October 9, 2004 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Mike Conover and Donald Ray Ashley. Interment will be in Parksville Cemetery. Donald Ray Ashley, Mark Anthony Ashley, Alex Estes, Shelby Estes and Stephen Padgett serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Saturday until the hour of service at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

He was the son of the late Lee O. and Margaret A. Sims Adkinson. Survivors include his wife, Kandie Prather Adkinson; a son, Travis S. Adkinson of Lexington; a brother, Ronald L. Adkinson of Olando, Fla.; and three granddaughters

He was a 1963 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and attended University of Kentucky and Kentucky State University. He served in the Navy and was a member of Cornishville Christian Church where he served as deacon, elder, vocalist and song leader. He also attended Jessamine Christian Church

He served as driver improvement officer for Kentucky from 1968-1972 and in March 1973, while employed as a fire fighter in Harrodsburg, he was appointed the first director of emergency ambulance services for Harrodsburg and Mercer County. From 1976-1980, he was a field representative for the emergency medical services branch of the Kentucky Department of military Affairs and was named the coordinator for Search and Rescue Programs. He oversaw the distribution of grant money to Kentucky rescue squads and taught search and rescue techniques for 17 years. He was a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Search and Rescue. He was employed in the emergency medical services branch of University of Kentucky Athletics Department and Lexington Civic Center. After his retirement, he was employed by the Message Center for the Legislative Research Commission. He was the past post commander and the present department commander for Sgt. Elijah Marrs, Camp 5, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, past adjutant for Sons of the Union Veterans Reserve and secretary-treasurer of Kentucky Commandery of military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States.

Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today and after 7 a.m. Saturday. Memorials may go to any rescue squad or Marcus and Josephine Prather Scholarship Fund.

He was born June 7, 1943 in Jefferson County to the late John W. Doyle, Jr. and the late Cora Bradley Doyle. He had served with the U.S. Army, was a Baptist and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons John Doyle, Jr. and Matt Doyle. One daughter Carol Lee Doyle. One brother Joey S. Doyle of Louisville. Two sisters Margie Rosenbarger of Louisville and Pamela Hardin of Harrodsburg. One sister Donna M. Doyle and a brother Roger A. Doyle preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 5, 2004 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the hour of service.
