Abby Gail Hayslett Yeast, 47, of Harrodsburg, wife of Steve Yeast, died Thursday, December 03, 2009 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born June 25, 1962 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Albertine Robinson Hayslett. She was an employee of Corning Glass in Harrodsburg, a graduate of Harrodsburg High School, who enjoyed drawing and gardening.

Survivors besides her husband include two sons: Brian (Carrie) Sallee of Aurora, Colorado and Ronald Yeast of Harrodsburg. One daughter Kya Yeast of Harrodsburg, one brother Donnie (Donna) Hayslett of Harrodsburg, several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one brother Mike Patterson.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Short officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens with Chris Votaw, Bryan Horvat, Jason Alexander, Paul Ellis, Brodey Votaw, Shane Abrams, Mark Sullivan, and Cory Sullivan serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mercer County Humane Society.

Ann Harrison Gover, 45, of Junction City, wife of Larry Gover, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at her residence. Born August 5, 1965 in Louisville, she was the daughter of Robert Harrison of Junction City and the late Ruby Mae Taylor Harrison. She was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, fishing, and camping.

Other than her husband and father, Ann is survived by her son Clinton (Tracy) Daugherty of Marion County and one daughter Angela Cross (John Hall) of Lancaster. Three brothers: Thomas Harrison of Parksville, David Harrison of Moreland, and James Harrison of Junction City. Three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Denton officiating. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery with John Hall, Angie Williams, Brian Moore, D.J. Stephens, David Harrison, Jr., Jerry Belcher, and Daniel Salle serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren: Steven, Nathan, and Jamison Hall and Shannon Thomas (MommyAnn).

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Marvin Lawson, 79, widower of Rosella Shewmaker Lawson, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born December 1, 1929 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Eddie and Halli McMullin Lawson. He was a retired Pepsi Distributor having worked locally for thirty years and more recently had driven cars for Spirit Chevrolet. He was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church, enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren playing sports, and also enjoyed spending time with his friends and coworkers at Spirit Chevrolet.

Survivors include three daughters: Deborah (Pud) Peavler, Marlene (Ronnie) McGrath, and Darlene (Eddie) Bast all of Harrodsburg. One son Marvin Lynn (Julia) Lawson of Interlachen, FL., one sister Joyce (Harlan) Barnett of Danville and one sister-in-law Elva Oldham of Harrodsburg. Six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Mark Eastman, Adam Curtsinger, Stephanie McGrath, Matthew McGrath, Patrick Bast, Fred Reid Burns, and Tommy Barnett serving as active pallbearers. Great Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Corinne Carey Randolph Neeley of Richmond, KY., died at her daughter’s home in Mitchellville, Iowa on November 26, 2009. Born January 8, 1927 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula McGrath Carey. She had attended the Union City Christian Church in Richmond.

Survivors include three daughters: Robin K. Jems of Mercer County, Kim (Terry) Misenheimer of Mitchellville, Iowa, and Colleen Jenkins of Louisville. Two sons: Rusty Randolph of Gastonia, N.C. and Kevin (Donna) Randolph of Jay, Florida. Two sisters: Mary Ellen Fletcher of Cincinnati and Betty Hubbard of Richmond. Twenty grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by two daughters: Cathi Sparks and Carey Flickinger; one sister Elsie Burton, and three brothers: Thomas Carey, Edwin Carey, and Rubert Carey.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Kevin Randolph officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Cancer Society of one’s choice. The family would like to add that she was a “wonderful mother” and will be missed “dearly” by all who knew her.

Lula Devine Hart, 99, of Harrodsburg, widow of the late Albert Hart, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center. Born May 29, 1910 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Less and Ora Claunch Devine. She was a retired storekeeper having operated Hart’s Grocery in several locations in Mercer County. She was also a member of the Benton Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Survivors include her daughter Mattie B. (George) Neal of Mercer County, one daughter-in-law Christine Hart of Harrodsburg, eight grandchildren: Monte Hart, Darwin Hart, Vaughn Hart, Timothy Hart, George William Neal, II., James Allen Neal, Janet Ann Hart, and Lynn Hart; ten great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by three sons: Garnett Hart, Malvin Hart, and Cleo Hart.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Sims officiating. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery in Dixville with Monte Hart, Darwin Hart, George William Neal, II, James Allen Neal, Wayne Hart, and J.L. Devine serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Patterson Cemetery Fund, c/o Kyle Bailey, 118 North Bragg Street, Perryville, KY 40468.

Loretta Mae Beasley, 72, of Harrodsburg, widow of William M. Beasley, died Thursday November 19, 2009 at the Clark Regional Medical Center. Born April 9, 1937 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marcella Noel Vinyard. She was retired from Corning Glass of Harrodsburg and a member of the Magnolia Street Christian Church.

Loretta is survived by her two sons: Tommy (Lori) Beasley of Mercer County and Buddy (Lisa) Beasley of Richmond. Two grandsons Jason and Evan Beasley of Richmond. One sister Joyce Anderson of Harrodsburg, two nephews Louis and Greg Anderson, one niece Carole Anderson, and one great nephew Louis Anderson all of Harrodsburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Daniel Vinyard.

A Graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Spring Hill Cemetery with James Hardin officiating. Levi Warren will serve as active pallbearer and Martha Anderson will be honorary pallbearer. No visitation will be held.

Helen Lena Foster, 75, wife of Dennis M. Foster, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born June 26, 1934 in Mercer County she was the daughter of the late Willie and Eva Lena Carmickle Price. She had been a Palm Beach Seamstress for 35 years, Trim Master employee for 10 years and was a former Wyonette’s Restaurant employee. She was the widow of Clyde Sagracy and Hubert Reynolds. She was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church, the Constitution Square Dancers, and the Sassy Steppers. She was a Kentucky Colonel and loved flowers.

Additional survivors besides her husband include: one daughter: Teresa (Lloyd) McKnight of Hempstead, Texas; one step-daughter: Sharlene (Robert) Foster of Stanford; one brother: Leroy (Nina) Price of Pleasant Plain, Ohio; one sister: Irene Robinson of Salvisa; three grandchildren: Todd Sagracy, Steven Sagracy and Helena Sagracy; four step-grandchildren: Damon and Daniel Foster, Clifton McKnight and Lloyd McKnight, Jr. and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son: Steven Clyde “Pete” Sagracy; three brothers: J.B., Price, Sr., James Price and Howard Price. and three sisters: Lucille Sanders, Marie Willis and Rose Lee Peavler.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Andrew Dyer and Bro. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Damon Foster, Daniel Foster, Clifton McKnight, Larry Hendrix, Adam Hendrix and Terry Camden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Constitution Square Dancers.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Mable Lowry, 84, of Nicholasville, widow of Earl Lowry died Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington Kentucky. Born May 20, 1925 in Jessamine County, Mable was the daughter of the late Sam and Maudie York Vickers. She was a former employee of the Irvin Parachute Co. and had farmed, she was a member of the Chapel Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed yard sales, sewing and fishing.

Mable is survived by two sons: Sammy Lowery and Thomas Anthony Lowry both of Jessamine County, two daughters-in-law: JoAnn Lowery and Anna Gayle Vickers of Jessamine County, five grandchildren: Deanna Bruner, Christina Brown, Jennifer Truman, Rebecca Rossiter and Brian Lowry, nine great grandchildren: Ashley, Zackary, Cody, Cole, Carson, Logan, Connor, Kaylen and Alyssa and one sister: Lillie Rhineheimer of Nicholasville and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by one son: Donald Vickers, three sisters: Dorothy Hatmaker, Ella Barronton and Gertrude Bramlett and three brothers: Earl, Kenny and Silas Vickers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Laswell officiating. Burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Gardens with Gary Lowry, David Morris Tim Lowry, Billy Morris, Timmy Morris and Johnnie Morris serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Lathery, Jimmy Gibson, David Lee Gibson, Jackie Hammons, David Bain and Ronnie Blevins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 and after 7:00 A.M. on Thursday until time of service at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Melissa Denyl Hartman, 41, wife of Paul Hartman of Harrodsburg died Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the Hospice Care Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born December 19, 1967, she was the daughter of Clarence and Louise Raley Goodlett, Jr. Melissa was a homemaker, a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by two sons: Derek Adam Goodlett and Brandon Paul Hartman both of Harrodsburg, one daughter: Paula Lopez of Harrodsburg, one brother: Stevy Goodlett of Harrodsburg and one sister: Christina Wohner of Harrodsburg, two grandsons: Andres and Jose Lopez of Harrodsburg.

Melissa was preceded in death by one brother: Keith Goodlett.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Michael Conover officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Scottie Raley, Aaron Raley, Rickey Curtsinger, David Rice, Rodney Raley and Mike Hartman serving as pallbearers. Melissa’s grandchildren and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Buford Bugg, 88, of Harrodsburg, widower of Grace Logue Bugg died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born in Boyle County, Buford was the son of the late Dave and Lucy French Bugg. He was a retired employee of the City of Harrodsburg Maintenance Department and enjoyed automobiles.

Buford is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 13, 2009, at 11:00 A.M., at the Spring Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow with Bobby Bugg, Charles Bugg, Billy Bugg, Tony Tingle, Terry Gregory and Justin Dorsey serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. till 10:45 A.M. at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.
