Clara Katheryn Martin, 82, of Falmouth, died Saturday at her home.

She was a retired employee of Scholls Shoe Co., in both Cincinnati and Falmouth, and a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union and Falmouth Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Elliott of Falmouth; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth.

Memorials are suggested to Cancer Fund, in care of Dottie Simon, Route 2, Box 1396, Butler, Kentucky 41006.

Charles Glenn McCowan, 37, of Dayton, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. He was a painter.

Survivors include a daughter, Ashley Ann McCowan of Florence; a son, Charles Glenn McCowan Jr. of Florence; sisters, Brenda Adams of Bromley and Carol Lynne McCowan of Somerset; and a brother, Clayton McCowan of Dry Ridge.

Services will at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church, Dry Ridge. Burial will be in Kiser Cemetery, Coeburn, Va. Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, is handling arrangements.

Dillon David Mueller, 1 day, son of Blake and Viva Mueller of Fort Mitchell, died Thursday at University Hospital, Cincinnati. His twin brother, Hunter Joseph Mueller, died Friday.

Other survivors include grandparents, Charles and Joyce Tappan of Fort Mitchell and Harriet Mueller of Villa Hills; and great-grandparents, Catherine Tappan of Phoenix, and Robert and Helen Harms of Villa Hills.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Memorials are suggested to University Health Alliance, Neonatal ICU, 234 Goodman St., Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.

Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow, is handling arrangements.

John Napier Jr., 70, of Independence, died at 2:32 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

He was a mechanic with Miami Transportation and a member of the C. B. Club and Civil Air Patrol. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Marcum Napier; daughters, Kay Butcher of Fort Thomas; sons, Gary Napier and Rick Napier, both of Independence; brothers, Bill Napier of Independence and Bradley Napier of Harlan; and six grandchildren.

ervices will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Lucy Mae O'Brien, 86, of Florence, died Friday at St. Luke Hospital West, Forence.

She was a homemaker. Her husband, Richard O'Brien, died in 1983.

Survivors include sons, David Richard O'Brien of Covington, Dennis A. O'Brien of Erlanger and Timothy Michael O'Brien of Burlington; a sister, Etna Dugan of Erlanger; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Clifton Pogue, 78, of Independence, died Friday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence.

He was a retired janitor with General Service Administration, a member of First Baptist Church of Independence and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Knutson Pogue of Independence; and a brother, Wilburn Pogue of Glasgow.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Charles Gary Ponder, 48, of Demossville, died Saturday at his brother's home in Ryland Heights. He was a farmer.

Survivors include daughters, Amy Cullom, Tonya Wipfel and Jessica Ponder, all of Covington; brothers, Michael Ponder, Bruce Ponder and Richard Ponder, all of Ryland Heights, and Leon Ponder of Covington; sisters, Angela Barcol and Karen Whisman, both of Ryland Heights, Paula Northcutt, Jeanna Morgan and Charlotte Ponder, all of Covington, Pam Fox of Lexington and Shanna McClure of Dry Ridge; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Grant-Ponder Cemetery, Ryland Heights.

Wesley Jim Rece, 74, of Cincinnati, formerly of California, died Friday at a daughter's home.

He was a mechanical engineer with R. A. Jones Co., where he held several patents on packaging machinery. He developed high speed film loaders for Kodak, and a vertical carton loading machine for Avon.

Survivors include daughters, Laura Blanton of California, Mary Helen Holt of Fremont, Wis., and Leslie Rece of Mount Olivet; sons, David Rece of Stoughton, Wis., Karl Rece of California, Michael Rece of Westwood, Ohio, and Wesley J. Rece of Mount Olivet; 13 grandchildren and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Jonathan Benjamin "Benji" Rice, 17, of Ludlow, died at 4:05 p.m. Thursday at St.Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington.

He was a senior at Ludlow High School, a co-op student with The Point in Covington and a member of First Baptist Church of Ludlow.

Survivors include his parents, William Dan Rice and Carrol Fay Rice of Ludlow; a brother, William Dan Rice II of Florence; and a sister, Carrol Lee Rice of Owensboro.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Ludlow. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the church. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.

Rose Mary Race Rimer, 68, of Covington, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas.

She was a homemaker and attended Goshen Christian Church, Piner. Her husband, Clyde M. Rimer, died in 1992. A son, Jerry Rimer, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include sons, David Rimer of Fairfield, Ohio, Robert Rimer of Taylor Mill and Steven Rimer of Columbus, Ohio; daughters, Tammy Howard and Carolyn Howard, both of Covington; brothers, Raymond Race of Buffalo, N.Y., and Jake Race of Covington; sisters, Etta Mae Blackburne of Covington and Violet Lawson of Florence; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
