M., Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Campbellsville after a long illness. Age: 60He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. He was a retired CPA. He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM. He is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mack Crabtree and his wife, Denise and Shane Crabtree of Campbellsville, Christy Crabtree and Amy Crabtree of Glasgow; two grandchildren: Trinity Crabtree and Keiran Crabtree of Glasgow; his parents, George and Olive Crabtree of Campbellsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Barry Smith of Campbellsville; many other relatives and friends.

EVELYN SAPP, AGE 82
Evelyn McGlocklin Sapp, age 82, formerly of Campbellsville, died Friday, January 28, 2005, in Palm Springs, California. She was the daughter of the late William (Bill) and Lyda Iona Hurt McGlocklin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Sapp in 1969, on brother Donald McGlocklin. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Donna and George Buscaglia of New York, New York, Sissy and Joe Scott of Denver, North Carolina, and Tom Sapp of Palm Springs, California, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One brother, Marshall McGlocklin of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Evelyn McGlocklin Sapp will be conducted at 11:00 A. M., Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Jesse Clubb and Jason England, officiating. Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

JOSEPH ALLEN RICHERSON
Joseph Allen Richerson of Morrison Road, Big Clifty, son of the late Ben Richerson and Morna Allen Richerson was born icon February 6, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:00 P. M., Friday, January 28, 2005 in Big Clifty. Age: 70 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a retired employee of Leitchfield Plastics. He is survived by four daughters and one son and their spouses: Jo Ellen and Ronnie Lemmon and Allison and Gary Goodin of Campbellsville, Tracy Rizner and Dan and Wendy Richerson of Bolingbrook, Illinois and Amanda and Chris Williams of Elgin, Illinois; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Janice Miller and Ronald Richerson of Big Clifty, Jane Osborne of Campbellsville and Judy Holmes of Finger, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Allen Richerson Jr. in infancy; one daughter, Barbara Jean Richerson, March 23, 2002, three sisters and two brothers: Linda Sue Richerson in infancy, Mary Morris, Peggy Berry, Larry Hugh Richerson and Charles Robert Richerson.

CHESTER OWEN HUGHES, AGE 92
Mr. Chester Owen Hughes, age 92 of Speck Ridge Road, Elkhorn, died Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Simon and Effie Holmes Hughes. He was a member of the Feathersburg Church of God. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Mr. Chester Hughes is survived by twenty-three nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law Ms. Leona Hughes of Campbellsville. Funeral services for Mr. Chester Owen Hughes will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery. Brother Jessie Rogers officiating.

HAROLD C. PEDIGO
Harold C. Pedigo of Old Glasgow Road, Tompkinsville, son of the late William Basil Pedigo and Mattie Grinestaff Pedigo was born icon August 26, 1925 in Monroe County, Kentucky. He died Thursday, January 27, 2005 in Tompkinsville. Age: 79 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tompkinsville. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired owner of Pedigo’s T.V. in Tompkinsville. He is survived by his wife Christine Barnett Pedigo of Tompkinsville and one sister, Inez Hinson of Tompkinsville.
Funeral SERVICES: 1:30 P. M., CST, Saturday, January 29th, at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville

DEBBIE O'CONNOR
Debbie Wethington O’Connor, age 40, of Metairie, Louisiana formerly of Taylor County, died Saturday August 10, 2002 in Louisiana after a sudden illness. She is survived by her husband, Walter P. O’Connor Jr. of Louisiana, two daughters, Brooke and Brandy Partridge both of Evansville, Indiana, her father, James Wethington of Illinois, hermother, Dorothy Moriarity of Florida, one brother and three sisters, Mark, Donna and Beverly Wethington all of Illinois and Alice Wethington of Campbellsville.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Nola McFarland O’Connor of Metairie, La. Funeral services for Debbie Wethington O’Connor will be held at 12 (NOON) Saturday, August 17, 2002, at the Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the St. Bernard Catholic Church Cemetery in Clementsville.
The family request visitation after 10:00 A. M. Saturday at Lyon-Dewitt.

BETTY HARWICK, AGE 87
Mrs. Betty Hardwick, age 87, of Crescent Hill Manor, died Monday, August 12, 2002, at the home of her daughter after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Corbin and Sally Light Corbin of Adair County.
She was of the Baptist faith and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a retired homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ocellous Hardwick in 1952, a twin sister, Retty Sullivan, and three brothers, Willie, Virgil and Finis Corbin.
Mrs. Harwick is survived by two daughters, Carol Overstreet of Campbellsville and Shirley Robison of Louisville.
Four grandchildren, Benny Overstreet, Tina Dotson, Debra Land and Jerry Robison, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive along with several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Hardwick were held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, August 15, 2002, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Dunbar Hill Cemetery. Brother Tom Downey and Brother James Sherrell officiated.

BEATRICE CAULK
Beatrice Caulk of Plainview Drive, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Herbert Short and Artie Hunt Short was born icon October 17, 1912, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:20 P. M., Friday, August 9, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 89She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Willard Caulk December 25, 1935. He preceded her in death August 25, 1999. She is survived by one son and one daughter and son-in-law: Gayron Caulk and Renee and Tommy Cave of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Bryan Caulk and John Cave of Lexington and Allyson Cave of Campbellsville; many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobbie Dale Caulk on July 21, 1937, and one brother, Turner Short.

Annie Puryear of Barney School Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Yance Sapp and Annie Stacy Yates Sapp, was born icon in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 29, 1911. She died at 11:10 P. M., Wednesday, August 7, 2002, in Louisville. Age: 90She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Spurlington United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Alva “Abb” Puryear December 14, 1928. He preceded her in death August 15, 2000. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Richard and Doris Puryear of Campbellsville; grandson & his wife: Richard Jeffrey & Cindy Puryear of Smith’s Grove, Kentucky; granddaughter, Melanie Lynn Puryear of Campbellsville; one great-granddaughter, Calah Puryear of Smith’s Grove; two brothers: Sam Sapp of Marseilles, Illinois and Thomas Thurman Sapp of Hollywood, California; one half-brother, William “Zeake” Sapp of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers: Lizzie Wright, Alonza Sapp, John Sapp, Omer Sapp, and Rev. Gilbert Sapp.

M., Wednesday, August 7, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 91She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Judge George O. Bertram November 25, 1933. He preceded her in death April 30, 1997. She is survived by two sons and their spouses: George Barry and Margaret Bertram and Phil Allan and Martha Bertram of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren: Megan Katherine Tuttle of Toledo, Ohio, Teri Anne Campbell of Nashville, George Barry “Chip” Bertram Jr. of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Margaret Katherine “Kathy” McCabe of Hermitage, Tennessee, John David Bertram and Allan Ray Bertram of Campbellsville, Deborah Kay DeMers of Frankfort, and Martha Phyllis Arnett of Lexington; nine great-grandchildren: George Ryan Bertram of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Molly Kathryn McCabe, Dillon Scott McCabe, and Sally Grace McCabe of Hermitage, Tennessee, Sierra Kay DeMers and Jacqueline Noel DeMers of Frankfort, Ashleigh Danylle Arnett of Lexington, and Margaret Grace Bertram and Benjamin David Bertram of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kay Risen Bertram Collins on March 2, 1996 and two sisters and three brothers: Anne Mary McKenna, Henrietta Pilkenton, Grady Risen, Rollin F. Risen, and John Cecil Risen.

LEONARD "PEACHES" STAYTON
Mr. Leonard “Peaches” Stayton, age 71, of Miami, Florida, formerly of the Mannsville Community in Taylor County, died Sunday at the Miami Gardens Care Center in Miami after an illness. He was the son of the late J. B. Stayton and Jessie Mae Grooms Stayton of Taylor County. He was a veteran, having served his country with the United States Air Force anda retired Greyhoound Bus Lines Driver for many years. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and his wife, Florence Stayton in 1994. He is survived by three sons, Ron Stayton, Neal Stayton and Alex Stayton all of Florida, one grandson, Bryan Austin Stayton and one brother, Howard “Red” Stayton ofMannsville. Several other relatives also survive along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Leonard “Peaches” Stayton were held at 11:00 A. M. August 8, 2002, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Merrimac Cemetery. Brother Keith Coleman officiated.

ANNA "EDITH" WOODRUM, AGE 91
Mrs. Anna “Edith” Woodrum, age 91 of Casey County, died Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Summit Manor in Columbia after an illness. Mrs. Woodrum is survived by three sons and four daughters, Milburn Woodrum of Louisville, Bobby and Clement Woodrum of Liberty, Alta Gabehart of Campbellsville, Janice Campbell of Cincinnati, Velma Wethington og Liberty and Charlene Warner of Elkhorn. Thirty grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren , two sisters and one sister-in-law, Urial Clements of Liberty, Vatus Green of Indiana and Pat Wethington of Saint Louis, Missouri along with a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services for Mrs. Woodrum will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at the Saint Bernard's Church in Clementsville with burial in the church cemetery. The family request visitation from 5 to 9:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 30 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel.

FANNIE L. MCMAHAN
Fannie L. McMahan of West Main Street, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Thomas F. Stone and Annie Campbell Stone was born icon September 6, 1909, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 6:25 P. M., Sunday, July 28, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 92. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Bruen McMahan November 5, 1939. He preceded her in death December 11, 1990. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Ruth McMahan of Campbellsville; two grandchildren and their spouses, Andrea and Kent Settle and Ron and Cathy McMahan of Campbellsville; three great grandchildren, Zack Settle, Katelyn McMahan and Caroline MaMahan of Campbellsville; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Henry O. Ambrose and Ernest McMahan of Louisville, Richard McMahan, Hortense McMahan, Ruby McMahan and Nona McMahan of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mabel G. Stone and Mary Stone Ambrose.

He was a retired employee of the Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Paulette Landis Beard December 24, 1986. Besides his wife, Paulette Sprowles of Camelback Drive, Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Melissa Sapp and Steve Sprowles of Campbellsville; one step-son, Todd Beard of Danville; one granddaughter, Jessica Sprowles of Burlington, Iowa; three sisters: Mattie Durham, Thelma Grimes and Arvella Kearnes of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Keith Sprowles and Dencil Sprowles.
