Mrs. Edna Marie Cave, age 94, of West Main Street, Campbellsville, died Monday, February 9, 2003 at Metzmier Nursing Home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Jake and Susie Willis Chelf of Adair County. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and a retired housewife. She was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church. Mrs. Cave was preceded in death by her husband, James Coakley Cave. Mrs. Edna Marie Cave is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Norma Jean and Curt Flinchum of Campbellsville, one brother Woodrow Chelf, of Campbellsville, one granddaughter, Susie Hayes of Campbellsville, one grandson, Lonnie Flinchum of Campbellsville, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Marie Cave were conducted at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Elkhorn cemetery. Rev. Robert Miller officiated.

ELIZABETH BYRD SULLIVAN
Elizabeth Byrd Sullivan of New Lebanon Road, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Arch L. Paxton and Mattie Blakeman Paxton was born icon December 4, 1917 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 7:05 P. M., Sunday, February 1, 2004, in Shelbyville. Age: 86 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of the Taylor County Elementary School Lunchroom. She united in marriage to Isaac W. “Ike” Sullivan, July 23, 1938. He preceded her in death July 14, 1997. She is survived by three sons and two daughters: David Sullivan and wife Vivian of Mt. Washington, Keith Sullivan and wife Tamara of Liberty, Randell Sullivan and wife Cheryl of Campbellsville, Connie Campbell and husband Jack of Cincinnati, Ohio and Ruth Ann Heath and husband Max of Shelbyville; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Ada Mae Wilcoxson and Norman Wayne Paxton of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Coleman Paxton and Leon Paxton.

PAULINE WAYNE
Pauline Wayne of Beechwood Drive, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Turner Wayne and Anna Mae Deener Wayne was born icon July 20, 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:40 P. M., Saturday, January 31, 2004, in Elizabethtown. Age: 70 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was retired from the Taylor County School System after forty-two years of teaching. She was active in the community and a member of numerous organizations including Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, Taylor County Retired Teachers Association, The Harmony Homemakers Club, Campbellsville Business and Professional Women’s Club, and she was a world traveler having traveled in eighty-five countries and fifty states. She is survived by one brother and one sister and their spouses: James Edward and Lucy Wayne of Campbellsville and Marjorie and Don Sheets of Danville, Kentucky; one brother-in-law: Hiestand Johnson of Campbellsville; eight nieces and nephews: Wayne Johnson, Gary Johnson, and Randy Wayne of Campbellsville, Pattie Price of Suwannee, Georgia, Vicki Kinnaird of Lawrenceberg, Kentucky, Shari Alexander of Glasgow, Toni Sheets of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Melissa Sheets of Bowling Green; eleven great nieces and nephews; several other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Jean Johnson November 3, 2002.

M., Thursday, January 29, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 98 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to William Horace Burress who preceded her in death August 20, 1992. She is survived by two sons: Dwight Cave and wife, Rose, and Allen L. Burress and wife, Anne of Campbellsville; one step daughter: Madeline Morrison and husband, James of Campbellsville; one step-daughter-in-law, Cleo Burress of Mt. Washington; thirteen grandchildren: Dr. John Burress of Boston, Massachusetts, Diane Mahoney of Meade County, Larry Cave, Danny Cave, Terry Cave, Sheila Kiper, Elizabeth Hale, Ronnie Morrison, Gary Burress and Darrell Burress all of Louisville, John Morrison of Campbellsville, Brian Burress and Diane Burgin of Mt. Washington; twenty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one step-son, William Horace Burress Jr. August 25, 1992; one grandson, Allen Burress Jr; two brothers and four sisters: Monroe Cave, Claude Cave, Nettie Kilby, Dorothy Mings, Flora Ball and Dora Landrum.

ELENDER NEWTON COX
William D. “Bill” Durham of Wildflower Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late James Owsley Durham, Sr. and Mattie Mudd Durham was born icon December 7, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in Naples, Florida. Age: 79 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. While serving in the United States Navy from 1943 – 1946 he was involved in the invasion of Normandy and received numerous other commendations. After discharge from the service he attended Bowling Green University preparing himself for several business adventures. He was married to Vivian Purdue for forty-three years until her death in 1992. He united in marriage to Pat Glasscock in 1993, who survives. Besides his wife Pat Durham of Wildflower Drive, Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter: Vickie Lanier and husband Joe of Hewitt, Texas; two step-children: Marsha Benningfield and husband Dick and Melisa Morris and husband Mark of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Lea Lanier of San Antonio, Texas and Rachel Lanier McCarty and her husband 2nd LT. Matt McCarty of Bryan, Texas; four sisters: Betty Munford and husband Billy, Carolyn Wethington and husband William Allen of Campbellsville, Barbara Jean King of Lexington and Joanne Trinkle of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: James O. Durham, Jr. and Lucy Shuffett. Family requests visitation from 1:00 - 2:00 P. M., Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Memorial Service to be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, January 31st at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Rev. Skip Alexander. The body was cremated with burial of cremains in Brookside Cemetery.

Stacie Lea Gebler, age 23, of Calvary Road, Finley died Monday, April 12, 2004 as a result of an automobile accident. Ms. Gebler is survived by her parents, Johnny Fowler, Sr. of Florida, Regina and Marvin Overby of Knifley, one son, Cory Fowler of Calvary and one daughter, Hailey Gebler of Calvary, one brother, Johnny Fowler, Jr. of Columbia, and three sisters Angelia Jones, Renita Gonzales, and Regina Howell all of Florida. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survives. Funeral services for Ms. Stacie Lee Gebler will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, April 15, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Robinson Chapel Cemetery. Brother Darrell Ford officiated. Granville Lee Gribbins, age 61,of Liberty Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, April 13,2004 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. Mr. Gribbins was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Goldie Garrett. He was the owner of Gribbins Grocery. Mr. Gribbins is survived by his wife Wanda Gribbins, his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff andRenee Gribbins, two grandchildren, Jordon Gribbins and Lauren Stapp, his step-mother, Katherine Gribbins of Paoli, Indiana, one brother, James Gribbins of Clarksville. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survives. Funeral services for Mr. Granville Lee Gribbins will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Thursday, April 15, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Tallow Creek Cemetery. Rev. Robert Boston and Rev. David Rash officiated.

Mrs. Barbara Rae Mann, age 70 of Jackson Towers Campbellsville died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at her residence. He was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Littler Rose of Springfield , Ohio. She was a housewife. Mrs. Barbara Mann is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Rodger and Julie Mann of Campbellsville, Ricky Lee Mann of Jackson, Kentucky, one daughter, Robin Christina Mann of Campbellsville, four grandchildren, one brother, David Rose of Lewisburg, Ohio, two sisters, Phyllis Jean Rose of Springfield Ohio and Janet Waldman of Dayton, Ohio, along with several other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside Services were conducted at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Lyon DeWitt Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements. Rev. THOMAS T TUCKER
Thomas T Tucker of Christerson Lane, Campbellsville, son of the late Roy Lee Tucker and Sarah Lyndall Miller Tucker was born icon April 30, 1933, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:00 A. M., Friday, April 9, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 70He professed faith in Christ and was an active member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church where he was president of his Sunday School Class and served diligently on the building and grounds committee which he had chaired for a number of years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, Vietnam and Desert Storm having served his country in the United States Army. He was awarded the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NCO Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with palm and the Presidential Citation. He worked as an electrical and mechanical technician and was a soldier in the United States Army for thirty-nine and one-half years. He united in marriage to Mary Margaret Burress December 18, 1961. Besides his wife, Mary Margaret Tucker of Christerson Lane, Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Alice Wilson and Connie Lynn Tucker of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Tommie Lynn Howard, Christi Carol Howard and Mary Gabrielle Tucker of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Ashlee Michelle Long, Jazmine Carroll Howard and Alyssa McKinley Curry of Campbellsville; two brothers and three sisters: James Richard Tucker and William Patrick Tucker of Campbellsville, Mary Joe Sutton of St. Charles, Missouri, Sue Catherine Buck of New Albany, Indiana and Margaret Ann Mudd of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Tucker.

DELMAR LEE BALDWIN, AGE 95
Mr. Delmar Lee Baldwin, age 95, of Mill Street, Campbellsville died Saturday, April 10,2004 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Clell and Martha Cox Baldwin of Taylor County and a retired farmer and a self employed mechanic. He was a member of the Feathersburg Church of God. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Baldwin, one son and daughter, Bradley Baldwin and Virginia Myers along with four sisters, Bertha Eastridge, Marie Gaddis, Mary Magdalene Lee andEvelyn Smith. Mr. Delmar Lee Baldwin is survived by one son, Danny Baldwin of Campbellsville, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. One brother and two sisters also survive, Leonard Baldwin of Illinois, Lorene Gaddis of Louisville and Audrey White of Elizabethtown. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survives. Funeral will be conducted at 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery. Brother Kenneth Lawson officiated.

ALMA "MARIE" GABEHART, AGE 83
Mrs. Alma Marie Gabehart, age 83, of Gardner Street, Campbellsville died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Sadie Williams Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everette Gabehart and one son Terry Lee Gabehart and brother, Roland Brown. Mrs. Gabehart is survived by three sons Weldon and Buddy Gabehart both of Campbellsville, E. C. Gabehart of Louisiana, three daughters, Geneva Jones and Neva Jean Arnett both of Campbellsville and Juanita Evans of Louisville. Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survives along with two brothers and one sister, Eldridge Brown of Casey Creek, Lucian Brown of Elkhorn and Vertie Mae Pickens of Louisville. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survives. Funeral services for Mrs. Alma Marie Gabehart will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Brother Homer Stephens and Brother Ben Spencer officiated.

Frances A. Delo of Wellington Park, Campbellsville, daughter of Frank J. Takacs and Shirley M. Letts Takacs was born icon November 30, 1946, in Flint, Michigan. She died at 5:15 P. M., Friday April 2, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 57 She was a member of the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Calvary. She united in marriage to Gordon W. Delo July 5, 1968. He preceded her in death February 22, 2004. She is survived by one son, Ken Delo of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; parents, Frank and Shirley Takacs of Pensacola, Florida, two sisters, Katherine E. Takacs of Atlanta, Georgia and Susie Takacs Seligman of Bloomington, Indiana and many other relatives and friends.

Winnie Parsons of Clem Haskins Boulevard, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Johnny Bob Witham and Maggie Mae Reeder Witham was born icon April 17, 1919, in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 4:00 A. M., Thursday, April 1, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 84She professed faith in Christ at the age of twelve at the Chestnut Grove Schoolhouse and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church and a former member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by one son and two daughters: Bobby Parsons and wife Bernice of Murray, Betty Parsons and husband Ernie Ferency of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Shirley Parsons Davis and husband Rick of Bowling Green; a daughter-in-law, Linda McDonald of Concord, North Carolina; six grandchildren: Tonya Cesler of Smiths Grove, Mark Parsons of North Carolina, Lisa Parsons of Campbellsville, Bobbi Jo Parsons of Elizabethtown, Eric Davis and Leslie Ryann Davis of Bowling Green; ten great-grandchildren: Chloe Cesler, Grant Cesler, Lucas Parsons, Wyatt Parsons, Sarah Parsons, Emily Caulk, Truman Caulk, Vivian Caulk, Eli Parsons and Winnie Parsons; two sisters: Archie Burress and Nellie Bowen of Campbellsville; several loved nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
