Mr. Ricky E. Holley, age 43, of Oriole Lane, Campbellsville died Sunday, April 4, 2004 after an illness. He was preceded in death by one brother, Donnie Holley. He is survived by two daughters, Tamara Holley Nelson and Lara Holley of Campbellsville, his Mother and Step-Father, Betty and Richard Dean of Campbellsville and his Father, Vernon Holley of Louisville, one brother, Terry Holley of Edmonton, three sisters, Kathy Shoopman of Orange Park, Florida, Vicky Dean of Campbellsville and Carol Dean of Elizabethtown, and one grandchild. Several other relatives also survive along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Ricky E. Holley will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jesus Name Church Cemetery. Elder Rueal Boils and Elder Jimmy Sharp officiated.

CAROLYN JEAN GRAMMER, AGE 60
Mrs. Carolyn Jean Grammer, age 60, of Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Delmer and Sylvia Glover Hicks of Hamilton County, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Steffany Grammer along with two brothers and two sisters, Russell and Howard Hicks, Wilma Abell and Ida Fay Hicks. She was a housewife and a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Grammer is survived by her husband, Robert Grammer, three sons and daughters-in-law and two daughters and sons-in-law, Roger Lee and Rebecca Grammer of Florence, Kentucky, David and Kim Grammer of Piqua, Ohio, Daniel and Sheila Grammer of Mason, Ohio, Rebecca and Wesley Bridges of Williamstown, Kentucky, Kimberly and Wendell Daniels of Fairfield, Ohio. Twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives along with five brothers and one sister, Carl, Ronald and Richard Hicks all of Campbellsville, Larry Hicks of Louisville and Phillip Hicks of Indiana and Patricia Miller of Campbellsville. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survives. Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Jean Grammer will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery. Brother Roger Grammer and Brother Carl Lee officiated.

LENA MAE BOWLES
Lena Mae Bowles of Butler Drive, Lawrenceburg, formerly of the Spurlington Community, daughter of the late Fulton Netherland and Cordie Newton Netherland, was born icon January 8, 1921 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:25 A. M., Sunday, June 6, 2004 in Lawrenceburg. Age: 83 She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She united in marriage to Hayden Bowles Jr. September 6, 1941. He preceded her in death March 6, 2003. She is survived by three daughters and one son and their spouses: Ann Hayden Harden of Lexington, Kathy and Sidney Atwater of Tampa, Florida, Jackie and Mark Immel of Savannah, Georgia, and David and Treva Bowles of Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives friends. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amy Atwater, five brothers and two sisters: Raymond Ambrose Netherland, James Netherland, Robert Netherland, Edwin Netherland, Jack Netherland, Barbara Ellen Netherland, and Kathleen Netherland. GEORGE H. SPROWLES
George H. Sprowles of Regency Court, Campbellsville, son of the late Carl Sprowles and Maggie Spurling Sprowles, was born icon July 17, 1924 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:55 P. M., Saturday, June 5, 2004, in Louisville. Age: 79 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946 in the Red Bull Division and was recipient of the World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star, Croix De Guerre W/Palm, American Theater Ribbon, and European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon. He was a retired installation and maintenance supervisor at G. T. E. He united in marriage to Margaret Walker August 31, 1946. She preceded him in death August 2, 1972. He united in marriage to Frances Russell September 1, 1973. Besides his wife, Frances Sprowles of Regency Court, Campbellsville he is survived by five children and their spouses: Eddie and Vickie Sprowles, Bobby and J. J. Sprowles, Mike and Joyce Russell, Lana and David Helm and Steve and Linda Russell of Campbellsville, six grandchildren, Shana Crabtree, Dana Dudgeon, Bridget Cox, and Isaac Russell of Campbellsville, Brian Helm of Taylorsville and Trevor Sprowles in the United States Air Force; one great-granddaughter, Molly Crabtree and one future great grandson, Aidan Cox; a brother-in-law, Richard Sublett; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Frances Sublett and Lewis Carl Sprowles.

BRANDON PRICE
Brandon Price of Sanders Road, Campbellsville, son of Nevin Price and Sherri Porter Price was born icon in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 17, 1992. He died at 1:48 P. M., Thursday, June 03, 2004, in Campbellsville as the result of a four wheeler accident. Age: 12 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a seventh grader at Taylor County Middle School. Besides his parents, Nevin and Sherri Price of Sanders Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by one brother, Cole Price of Campbellsville; grandparents: G. W. and Faye Porter of Campbellsville and Hollis and Minnie Hancock of Lebanon; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Burchett of Campbellsville; several aunts and uncles and many other relatives and friends.

BESSIE C. GROVES, AGE 96
Ms. Bessie C. Groves, age 96 of Chicago, Illinois formerly of Campbellsville died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Stella Bridgewater Smith of Adair County. She was a retired housewife and a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Campbellsville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Herbert Groves , grand-son, J,W. Johnson, three brothers and one sister, Robert, John and Levi Smith, Mary Lizzie Swiff. She is survived by two sons and one step-son, O’dency Johnson Jr. of Lexington, Forrest King Johnson of Chicago, Harlan Groves of Coburg. Two daughters and two step-daughters, Annette Branch of Chicago, Caroline Branch, Flora Groves and Ernestine Motley all of Campbellsville, six grandchildren, Glenn, Vernon and O’dency Johnson III, Elizabeth Ann Shaw, Helen and Cynthia Ann Pruitt, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives along with other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Ms. Bessie C. Groves were held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday,June 5, 2004 at the First Baptist Church with burial in the Miller Cemetery. The family request visitation after 6:00 P. M. Friday, June 4, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel and after 9:00 A. M. Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the First Baptist Church. Brother David Goatley and Brother George P. Lee III officiating.

JOHN A. WARREN
John A. Warren of Carden Street, Campbellsville, son of the late John B. Warren and Gladys Hoadley Warren was born icon in West Jersey, Illinois, November 21, 1928. He died at 9:55 A. M., Sunday, May 30, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 75He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a retired over the road truck driver. He united in marriage to Ethel Smith July 21, 1953. She preceded him in death July 23, 1991. He is survived by three sons and four daughters: Greg Warren, Bonnie Wright, and Mary Gray of Campbellsville, Tim Warren of Durham, North Carolina, Lou Ann Waldrop and Doug Warren of Louisville, and Roxie Pottinger of Prospect; fifteen grandchildren: Eric Warren, Andy Warren, Sara Warren, Amanda Gowin, and Justin Wright of Campbellsville, Lindsay Gray of Lexington, Kara Marie Warren of Durham, North Carolina, Zach Waldrop, Baxter Waldrop, Connor Waldrop, and John Warren of Louisville, and Eric Pottinger, Whitney Pottinger, Morgan Pottinger, and Christian Pottinger of Prospect; four great-grandchildren: Ethan Warren, Braxton Gowin, and Bailee Gowin of Campbellsville and Molly Warren of Louisville; his companion, Kaye Anderson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: William (Bud) Warren, James O. Warren, Dean Warren, Charles Hugh Warren, and Kathryn Grammer Burton.

She was a faithful member and worker in church nurseries for over forty years. She united in marriage to Harold F. Watson October 5, 1946. He preceded her in death May 17, 1975. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands: Cassie and Tom Miller of Danvers, Massachusetts, Katy and Mike Kiger of Campbellsville, and Nina and Mike McClure of Buford, Georgia; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers: Iva Allison, Forest Anderson, Roberta Meryl Anderson, Christine Duncan, Thomas Anderson, Georgia Anderson, Laverne Dodson, and Jesse Wessner.

She united in marriage to Mr. Ruby Jones December 23, 1937. He preceded her in death September 21, 1974. She united in marriage to Mr. Ulys Lobb May, 1977. He preceded her in death August 15, 1998. She is survived by one son, Lonnie A. Jones and wife Joan of Mannsville; one daughter-in-law, Dot Jones of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Jeffrey Allen Jones of Mannsville, Leslie Jones Vance and Deanna Lynn Darst of Lebanon, and Kenneth Ray Jones, Jr. of Campbellsville; nine great-grandchildren: Caren Elizabeth Jones of Babylon, Iraq, Jay Allen Jones of Mannsville, Zachary Aaron Jones, Isabella Darst, Andrew Darst, Danielle Darst and Jessie Reagan Vance of Lebanon, Westin Matthew Vance and Trevor Michael Vance of Magnolia; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. Mr. Marshall A. Webb, age 82, of East First Street, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004, at the Medco Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Willis Franklin Webb. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Eva Marie Pappas, four brothers, Alton, Golden, Cecil and Roy Webb, and three sisters, Ruby Tungate, Justine Judd and Maxine Lyons. He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Opal Webb, one son and daughter-in-law, Roger A. and Harriett Webb of Morocco, Indiana, one daughter, Marsha Webb of Campbellsville, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and thirteen step-great grandchildren. Several other relatives survives along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Marshall A. Webb were conducted at 11:00 A. M. Friday, May 28, 2004, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Green River Memorial Cemetery with military honors by the D. A. V. in Lebanon. Rev. Ivan Jones and Rev. George P. Lee III officiated.
