She died at 5:20 A. M., Thursday, October 7, 2004 in Lebanon. Age: 57 She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was employed by Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for twenty-seven years. She was also a Retail Sales Associate for Cellular One in Columbia and former manager of Twice Is Nice Consignments in Campbellsville. She is survived by two sons: Joseph J. Knopp and his companion Miranda Bell of Campbellsville and John B. Knopp and his wife Jamie of Phillipsburg; two grandchildren: Jamison McKinley Knopp and Kaitlyn Nicole Holmes of Campbellsville; two step-grandchildren: Tye Murphy and Abi Murphy of Phillipsburg; her mother, Eva Allen of Raywick; one sister and two brothers: Judy Huber and husband James of Mt. Washington, Don Paul Allen of Inez, Kentucky and Nicky Allen and wife Loretta of Raywick; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Garry Wayne Allen, June 28, 1997.

BLUFORD BROOKS
Bluford Brooks of Gardner Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Elbert Brooks and Linda Jaggers Brooks was born icon in Edmonson County, Kentucky February 17, 1930. He died at 7:20 P. M., Wednesday, October 6, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 74 He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Corrine Brooks of Campbellsville; six daughters and three sons: Vicky Roberts, Delma Hayse, Theresa Campbell, James Brooks, Danny Lawson and Marsha Boyd all of Louisville and Sandra Stubbs, Calvin Lawson and Rhonda Messer all of Campbellsville; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers: Mary Williams of Georgetown, Indiana, Millie Falconbury of Attica, Indiana, Lillie Elmore and Truman Brooks of Brownsville, Kentucky, Norman Brooks and Almon Brooks of Louisville and Kenneth Brooks of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral SERVICES: 1:00 P. M., Friday, October 8th at the Parrott and Ramsey Funeral home in Campbellsville by Rev. Bill Williams

KATHERINE K. GADDIE, AGE 85
Katherine Kirtley Gaddie, age 85, of Campbellsville passed away on Monday, October 4, 2004, at the Medco Nursing Home. She was the daughter of of the late Ed Kirtley, Sr and Sally Ann Ford Kirtley. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired teacher’s aide, and retired from Metzmeir Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Gaddie, five brothers, Jerry, Leo, Ed Jr., Melvin and Curtis Kirtley. Mrs. Gaddie is survived by four sisters and brother-in-laws, Maxine and James Christian, of Maywood, Illinois, Eugenia and Russell Thurman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Josephine Williams of New Albany, Indiana and Louie and Porter Ferrell of Sun City West, Arizonia, one step-daughter Frances Clinkscales of Campbellsville, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Kirtley Gaddie will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Rev. Michael Caldwell officiated.

ROBERT HENRY SUBLETT, AGE 70
Robert Henry Sublett Robert Henry Sublett, age 70, of Lemons Bend Road, Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday , October 6, 2004, at Nortons Hospital in Louisville. He was the son of of the late Robert Bert Sublett and Magdaline Paxton Sublett. He was a member of the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a retired farmer. Mr. Sublett is survived by his wife Peggy Clark Sublett, one son, Robert Adam Sublett of Covington, Kentucky, three daughters, Robin Lynn Sublett of Louisville, Rebecca Cordell Webb, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Rachel Sublett Zahniser of Covington. Two grandsons, Andrew Cordell and Kevin Benjamin Cordell of Knoxville, Tennessee, one brother, Leonard Sublett of Campbellsville, three sisters, Odell Sublett. Elaine Sublett of Campbellsville, Betty Lou Holt of Indiana also survive, along with nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Henry Sublett will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Ephrim Berry and Bro. Chester Vandyke officiated. In lieu of flower the family requested donations be made to the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund or the Nature Conservancy.

EDWARD "PEE-WEE" PAYTON, AGE 74
Edward Arnold (Pee-Wee) Payton, age 74, of North Poplar Street, Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at his residence. He was the son of of the late William Lewis Payton and Loretta Herron Payton. He was a retired member of the Taylor County Road Department. He was also preceded in death by one brother Dallas Payton. Mr. Payton is survived by his daughter, Lisa Mae Squires of Campbellsville, three grandchildren, one brother, Lewis Samuel Payton of Florida, two sisters, Jean Clark of Campbellsville and Juanita Claywell of Campbellsville along with a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Edward Arnold (Pee-Wee) Payton will be conducted at 2:00 P. M., Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Hardin Cemetery. Rev. Carl Allen Parrott Jr. of Boils Road, Campbellsville, son of Karen Brooks Parrott Hennessey and the late Carl Allen Parrott Sr. was born icon in Beech Grove, Indiana, August 28, 1957. He died at 11:13 P. M., Sunday, October 3, 2004, in Louisville. Age: 47He had professed faith in Christ and attended Truth Tabernacle in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Sandra Kay Acree May 10, 1997. Besides his wife, Sandra Kay Parrott of Campbellsville, he is survived by his mother, Karen Parrott Hennessey of Senoia, GA; two sisters: Lisa Sharpton and Christina Wright of Senoia, GA; grandparents, Jim and Dana Wasson of Senoia, GA; several other relatives and friends.

Bernard Wade of Wilson Creek Road, Casey Creek, Kentucky, son of Hazel Henson Wade and the late James Bernard Wade Sr. was born icon June 5, 1945, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:43 P. M., Saturday, September 25, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 59He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one daughter and one son: Lisa R. Wade and her fiancé William Glover and Darren and his wife Lisa A. Wade; his mother, Hazel Wade; three sisters: Nellie Mardis and her husband Eugene, Marie Cox, and Barbara Bowen and her husband Randy all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles T. Wade.

RAYMOND VANNICE
Raymond Vannice of Jonathan Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late Harry Vannice and Dora Dorsett Vannice was born icon August 25, 1927 in Baker, Illinois. He died at 9:10 A. M., Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 77He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Mary Aline Sluder July 16, 1953. Besides his wife, Mary Aline Vannice of Campbellsville he is survived by seven daughters and three sons and their spouses: Bonnie and Dan Ackley, Terry and Cindy Vannice, Randy and Barbara Vannice, Jeffrey and Lois Vannice, Brenda Vannice and Susan Vannice all of Campbellsville, Cathy and Larry Tungate and Wanda Peavey of Elkhorn, Julie and William Fisher of Bradfordsville and Ruth and Tom Warren of Elizabethtown; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert Vannice of Sheridan, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother and one sister, Louie Vannice and Deloris Pfortmiller.

JAMES E. WILCOXSON
James E. Wilcoxson of Roland Street, Campbellsville son of the late Edgar Wilcoxson and Vera Wright Wilcoxson, was born icon July 21, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 3:45 P. M., Friday, September 17, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 66He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a retired employee of the Campbellsville Water Company. He united in marriage to Annie Philyaw. Besides his wife, Annie Wilcoxson of Roland Street Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons, Jamie Rogers, Keith Wilcoxson and Ronnie Wilcoxson of Campbellsville; four step-sons and one step-daughter: Carl Whitaker and Jeffrey Whitaker of Campbellsville, Larry Whitaker of Tennessee, Thomas Whitaker of Frenchburg and Janie Dile of Greensburg; five grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; foster parents, George and Gertrude Haynes of Campbellsville; four foster brothers and one foster sister: Raymond Haynes of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Eddie Haynes, Gordon Haynes, Marvin Haynes and Liz Gilbert of Campbellsville; one half brother and three half sisters: Edgar “Pete” Wilcoxson of Washington, Martha Janes of Florida, Lou Anna Frazee of Florida and Mary Helen Stack of Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Larry David Cox, age 54, of Raikes Hill Road, Campbellsville, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 in Indiana after an illness. He was the son of the late Irene Smothers Cox of Taylor County. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susan Cox, one brother, Odell Cox. He is survived by two sons Matthew Cox of Indiana, David Cox of Campbellsville, two daughters, Sharon Gadberry of Campbellsville, Jennifer Cox of Indiana, his father, George W. Cox of Mannsville. Four grandchildren, Anna and Caleb Cox of Indiana, Haleigh and Hannah Gadberry of Campbellsville also survives along with four brothers, Charles Cox, Gary Cox, Darrel Cox, Hilbert Cox of Taylor County, three sisters, Connie Burton, Carrie Rafferty of Taylor County and Emma McDonald of Florida. Several other relatives and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Larry David Cox will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, November 30 , 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Merrimac Cemetery. Earl Beam officiating.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Campbellsville. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Roberts Mayes. He also is survived by three uncles, George and Claude Mayes of Louisville, T. C. Roberts of Atlanta, Georgia, one aunt, Nellie Graham of Glasgow, along with several cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Keith Mayes will be conducted at 2:00 P. Frances B. Pepper, age 75, of Patterson Court, Campbellsville, died Thursday, November 25 , 2004 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Dorothy Blair Bennett of Adair County. She was a retired receptionist from the office of Dr. James Ewing. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Bennett, Jr. and Glenn Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Pepper, one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Steven and Sandy Pepper of Sarasota, Florida, two daughters and son-in-law, Pam Parker and Lynn and Todd Horn of Campbellsville, six grandchildren, Tracy Gerstler, Jennifer Pepper, Andrew Pepper, Holly Parker, Jacob Horn and Weston Horn, two great grandchildren, Austin and Nathan Adams, one aunt, Irene Adams of Louisville, along with a host of friends. He was the son of the late Elmer and Ethel Caulk Rafferty of Taylor County. He was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by one son John Michael Rafferty, two brothers, Walter Rafferty and Ben Rafferty. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Allene Rafferty , two sons and daughter-in-law, Walter Ray Rafferty, Steve and Carrie Rafferty, two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Billy Benningfield, Kathy and Ricky Rood, eight grandchildren, one step-grandchild, one great grandchild, three step grandchildren, one brother, William Rafferty of Illinois and one sister Nellie Milby of Campbellsville, along with a host of friends. ARTHUR SCHUSTERMAN, AGE 94
Mr. Arthur Schusterman, age 94, of Larkspur Lane, Campbellsvile, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, at Metzmeier Nursing Home after an illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Flora Bechert Schusterman of New York, New York.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Schusterman, Max Schusterman and one sister, Julia Schusterman.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Schusterman of Campbellsville, Several other friends and relatives survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Schusterman will be conducted at 11:00 A. M., Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.

FRANCES WILLIAMS MARPLE, AGE 94
Ms. Frances Williams Marple, age 94, of Redmon Avenue, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late James and Roberta Parker Williams of Taylor County. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Marple. She was a retired Restaurant employee and a member of the First Methodist Church in Campbellsville. Ms. Marple is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachael and Dick Rich of Paducah, Jane and Frankie Johns of Nashville, Tennessee. Seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive along with other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Ms. Frances Williams Marple will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Ted Beam officiating.
