Polson infant

GLASGOW — Thomas Maxwell “Max” Polson, infant son of Johnny and Mary Norris Polson of Glasgow, died Oct. 15, 2000, at Kosair’s Children's Hospital in Louisville.

Funeral will be at noon Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, 40220.

Other survivors include a brother, Andrew Neal Polson; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Emily Polson of Glasgow; maternal grandparents, Sam and Anna Norris of Glasgow; paternal great-grandmother, Elsie Polson of Glasgow; and maternal great-grandmother, Olga Norris of Glasgow.

George G. Reneau

GLASGOW — George Garlan Reneau, 78, of Glasgow died Oct. 15, 2000, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

The Barren County native was a farmer, a retired employee of the Glasgow Livestock Market and a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.

He was a son of the late Issac Smith Reneau and Neva Moore Reneau.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of one’s choice.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche Crabtree Reneau; two daughters, Carol Atkinson and Gayle Cary, both of Glasgow; a brother, Stanley Reneau of Glasgow; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Robert R. English

Robert R. English, 84, of Bowling Green died at 3:32 p.m. Nov. 14, 2000, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

The New Castle, Pa., native was a self-employed electrical engineer and a sales representative for several electronic companies, and attended Tri-State College in Angola, Ind., and Ray’s Branch Church of Christ.

He was a son of the late Robert “Bob” English and Martha Horn English.

Memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn Funeral Home.

The body was cremated.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The Salvation Army, 401 W. Main St., Bowling Green, Kentucky 42101.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Therese English; two daughters, Marty Wilkes of Minneapolis and Ruth Ann of Richardsville; a sister, Elizabeth Boland of Palatine, Ill.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lester H. Hill

AUBURN — Lester H. Hill, 79, of Auburn died at 12:52 p.m. Nov. 14, 2000, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

The Detroit native was a World War II veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans and New Friendship Baptist Church.

He was a son of the late Lester Hobby Hill and Mildred Matlock Hill.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Young Funeral Home with burial in New Friendship Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Roger David Hill of Wyoming, Mich.; a brother, Murray Hill of Simpson County; and two grandchildren.

Mary Simpson

CENTRAL CITY — Funeral for Mary Francis Mason Simpson, 77, of Central City, who died at 1:17 p.m. Nov. 15, 2000, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Tucker Funeral Home.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Parkinson Disease Foundation.

Local survivors include a son, Thomas R. Simpson of Bowling Green.

Allene Wilson

GLASGOW — Allene Wilson, 80, of Calhoun died Nov. 15, 2000, at a Calhoun nursing home.

The Glasgow native was a member of Samson Street Church of God in Glasgow.

She was a daughter of the late C.R. Wilson and Arlena Compton Wilson.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include three nieces.

Betty Logan

Funeral for Betty Jean Wilson Logan, 62, of Bowling Green, who died at 9:35 p.m. Aug. 13, 2000, at her home, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with burial in Plum Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.

Kyle Hendrick

Kyle Allen Hendrick, 19, of Bowling Green died at 9:18 p.m. Nov. 16, 2000, at The Medical Center of injuries suffered in a traffic accident.

The Warren County native was a student at Kentucky Advanced Technology Institute, an employee of Grinstead’s Furniture, a graduate of Warren East High School, and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Gott Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a son of Allen and Teresa Tapke Hendrick of Bowling Green, who survive.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home with burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral home.

Other survivors include paternal grandmother, Christine Hendrick of Bowling Green; and maternal grandmother, Sylvia Tapke of Glasgow.
