Curtis Mitchell, 80, of Paducah, KY, died at 7:46 AM Monday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. There will be a graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens September 26, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Gleason officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Paducah, KY. Memorials may be made to McCracken Co. Humane Society or Paducah Cooperative Ministry. Mr. Mitchell retired from Illinois Central Railroad as an Electrician. He was a member of Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Curtis and Ethel Davis Mitchell, his wife, Gladys Mae Roddicker Mitchell and 1 sister.

Dr. Frank Crawford, Jr., 79, of Paducah, KY, died at 8:51 PM Wednesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. There will be a Memorial Service at Broadway United Methodist Church Saturday September 29, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Richard Smith officiating. Visitation will be held following the service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Frank B. Crawford, Jr. Memorial Fund c/o Broadway United Methodist or WWII Memorial Fund. Dr. Crawford was a retired Radiologist. He was a veteran of WWII and Korean War. He was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Wife of 60 years, Wicey Crawford of Paducah, KY, Sons, Dr. Keith Crawford of Paducah and Larry Crawford of Memphis, TN., and 1 sister, Martha Kulowitz. Dr. Crawford was preceded in death by his parents, Frank B. and Julia Baker Crawford Sr. He had 3 grandchildren.

Jimmy Brindley officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn Park Cemetery, Paducah, KY. Visitation will start at 5:00 P.M. Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Mr. Brindley worked for H.T. Hackney Wholesale Grocery Dist.

He is survived by his wife, April Wilkey Brindley, Mother, Betty Green Escamilla, 1 son, Carl Douglas Brindley, 2 daughters, Melodie Brindley and Lori Brown, both of Paducah, 2 brothers, Billy Brindley and Ronnie Brindley both of Lewisville, TX., 2 sisters, Mildred Coomer of Sharpe, KY and Rebecca Perry of Elcajuan, CA. Mr. Brindley was preceded in death by his father, Carl Richard Brindley. He had 2 grandchildren.

Martha Trentham, 83, of Louisville, KY, died at 2:12 PM Monday at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville, KY. Her Funeral will be at Milner & Orr Funeral Home Friday October 5, 2001 at 10:00 A.M. with Mike Tanaro officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Kenton Cemetery, Paducah, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Lone Oak Church Of Christ where she was a member.

Mrs. Trentham is survived by 1 Daughter, Linda Miller of South Bend, IN., 1 Son, Dwight Trentham of Anchorage, KY., 5 sisters, Ella Barker, Brooxie Brawner, Sara Foster, Mildred Page, and Mary Vaughn, 1 brother Billy Joe Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Trentham, her parents, Furman Isaiah and Mary Lee Finch Floyd and 3 brothers. She had 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Grace Murt, 72, of Paducah, KY, died at 1:25 pm Tuesday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. Her Funeral will be at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church October 5, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Patrick Bittel and Rev. Larry McBride officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Murt will start at 5:00 P.M. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kosair's Hospital. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church.

She is survived by 1 son, Tony Murt of Paducah and 1 brother, Louis Klein. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Murt, parents Louis J. and Grace J. Bittkee Klein. She had 1 grandchild.

Mrs. Dorothy Sinnott Billington

Dorothy Sinnott Billington, 86, of Paducah died at 4:20 p.m. Saturday at her home.

Surviving are a daughter, Claire Key of Paducah; a son, Stuart Sinnott Billington of Prospect; six grandchildren, Alan Rietze, Daniel Key and Anne Billington, all of Louisville, Scott Billington of Chicago, Elizabeth Key of Lexington, and Charles Key of Paducah; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles B. Billington. Her parents were Stuart D. and Cosette Shelton Sinnott.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Dann Masden will officiate. Burial services will be private.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Services for Frank A. Craven, 78, of Wickliffe will be at 1:00 PM Monday June 3, 2002 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe. The Rev. Joel Harper will officiate. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in La Center, KY. Visitation will be at 6:00 PM Sunday June 2, 2002 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.

Mr. Craven died at 5:30 AM Saturday June 1, 2002 at his home.

He was a retired tire builder at Goodyear in Jackson Michigan and a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Paducah.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Marie Hall Craven; one daughter, Janice Taylor of Wickliffe; one son, Frank Dewayne Craven of Wickliffe; two sisters, Dathel McKeller of Fulton, MO and Helen Meyers of Bellflower, MO; five brothers, Britten Craven of Jackson, MO and Jimmy Craven, Charlie Craven, Leon Craven, and Jack Craven, all of Montgomery City, MO; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. His parents were John Richard Craven and Lilly Rodgers Craven.

Ms. Norma King Myrick

Services for Norma King Myrick, 67, of Paducah will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Rev. Zack Strong will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday June 5, 2002 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Ms. Myrick died at 8:25 p.m. Monday at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a graduate of Reidland High School and Draughon's Business College.

Ms. Myrick was retired from work as a bookkeeper and secretary at a finance company, at Modine Manufacturing Co., and High Dimension Church. She was a member of GraceChurch International.

Surviving are two brothers, Thomas "Sonny" King of Boaz and Edward Lee King of Simpson, IL.; two nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by one sister. Her parents were Earl T. and Geneva Moyers King.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lourdes Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Georgetta Hopkins

Graveside services for Georgetta Mayberry Hopkins, 83, of Wickliffe, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday June 8, 2002 at Wickliffe City Cemetery. The Rev. Wallace Adams will officiate.

Mrs. Hopkins died at 4:10 AM at Superior Home Care in Paducah. She was a member of Cane Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Fred B. Hopkins of Bankok Thailand and Lynn Norwood Hopkins of Wickliffe; one sister, Mattie Morton of Jackson, Mich.; one brother, W.F. Mayberry of Wickliffe; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Strother Barrett Hopkins; and one sister. Her parents were William F. Mayberry and Etta Rollins Mayberry.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 417 South 4th St., Paducah, KY 42001.

Mrs. Mary Greenberg

Funeral Mass for Mary Rose Greenberg, 87, of Paducah will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. The Rev. Henry Wieder will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Kenton Cemetery.

Mrs. Greenberg died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at her residence.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Lourdes Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, Norman Greenberg; one daughter, Susan Crews of Gilbertsville; four sisters, Sister Georgetta Higdon of Maple Mount, Pat Reitzel of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Mary Egner of Phoenix and Frances O'Bryan of Paducah; one brother, Thomas Higdon of San Diego; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert David Greenberg; one sister; and two brothers. Her parents were Lawrence Henson Higdon and Mary Rose Coomes Higdon.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, were prayers will be said at 6.

Minnie Mae Bivin

Services for Minnie Mae Trigg Bivin, 77 of West Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Allie Rudolph and the Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. Burial will be in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.

She died at 9:05 a.m. Friday at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Bivin worked 38 years for BellSouth and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was a past worthy matron of the Grahamville Chapter No. 494 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Bivin is survived by her husband of 50 years, Maxie O. Bivin; one daughter, Wilma Bivin-Hunter of Douglasville, Ga.; and one sister, Magdalene Kemper of Tiline.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters. Her parents were William and Fannie Sullenger Trigg.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the Funeral home.

Graveside services for Carol Fike Page, 52, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clark's River Cemetery. Rev. Brad Henson will officiate. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

She died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.

A native of Paducah, she was a member of Eastside Holiness Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Charlotte Fike of Paducah; four sons, Michael Fike of Ledbetter, Jeffrey Fike of Boaz, Dewayne Fike of Bradenton, FL., and Jason Page of Paducah; seven sisters, Dorothy Kaufman, Barbara Sherman, Shelia Tubbs and Patricia Powell, all of Paducah, Mary Jones of Round Lake, IL., Linda Dickens of Wisconsin and Shirley Baldwin of Three Rivers, MI.; four brothers, Clayton "Junior" Tucker of Paducah, Gerald Tucker of West Paducah, Robert Tucker of Round Lake, MI. and Roger Tucker of Boaz; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

One sister and one brother preceded her in death. Her parents were Clayton William and Georgia Ann O'Conner Tucker.

Services for Franklin L. Lax, 83, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Sunday June 9, 2002 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Terry Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Sunday June 9, 2002 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

He died at 1:04 p.m. Friday at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Lax formerly owned Lax's Market in Paducah and was an Commonwealth Life Insurance agent. He was a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center and a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving are one son, Jerry L. Lax of Kevil; two stepsons, Charles Farley of Paducah and Edmond Farley of Reidland; two sisters, Margaret Mayhew of Carol Gables, FL., and Edith Canon of West Paducah; one brother, Herbert Lax, Jr. of Frankfort; three grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Farley Council Lax; two sisters; and one brother. His parents were the Rev. Herbert L. Lax and Mary Osborne Lax.

Mr. Joel Jones Atwood Dick

Mr. Joel Dick, 81, of Kevil died at 12:20 p.m. Sunday at Lourdes Hospital.

There will be no services at this time for Mr. Dick but a Memorial Service at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Freeman Dick; two daughters, Kathy Sue Dick of Heath and Leslie Lynn Nall of Louisville; five sons, Thomas Eugene Dick of Pigeon Forge, TN., Henry Clay Dick and Bobby Joe Dick both of Paducah, Wayne Edward Dick of NM., Joel Willis Dick of TN.; one brother, Paul Henry Dick of MO.; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Ellen Melton; one son, Charles Atwood Dick; two sisters; and his parents, Granville Atwood and Lucy Jane Thompson Dick.
