Debbie Atkinson was born January 27, 1963 and departed this life Friday, November 23, 2012 reaching the age of 47. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Effie (Ferrell) Allen.

She is survived by: her husband, Bill Atkinson; 1 daughter, Megan Atkinson; 1 step son, Justin Atkinson; 2 step grandchildren, Isaiah and Ava Atkinson; and 2 godchildren, Ryan Burke and Chloe Alvarez. She is also survived by: 5 sisters, Betty (Cecil) Lowe, Joyce Ann (Johnny) Garner, Gladys Faye McGuire (Lloyd Abbott), Kathy (Tommy) Russell, and Patricia Burnett (Jeff Alley); along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Richard and Effie Allen, she was preceded in death by: 2 sisters, Wanda Crabtree and Carolyn Sue Sharp.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 9 am – 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Ricco Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Roger’s Grove cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Debbie Atkinson Memorial Fund

Deloris Kaye Hatfield
July 12, 1945 - December 1, 2012

Deloris Kaye Hatfield was born July 12, 1945 and departed this life Saturday, December 1, 2012 reaching the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late George Frank and Ona Earl (Parmley) Hatfield.

She is survived by: 1 son, Adam (Deloris) Hatfield of Monticello, KY; and 4 grandchildren, Dakota, Makayla, Searra, and Dayton Hatfield. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, Earl (Vannie) Hatfield of Monticello, KY and Theo Hatfield of Indianapolis, IN; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Frank and Ona Hatfield, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother, George Hatfield, Jr.; and 4 sisters, Nell Morris, Faye Woody, Sue Marcum and Louise Morris.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11 am at the Parmley's Grove Church with Bro. Larry Marcum and Bro. Tommy Powell officiating. Burial will be in Parmley’s Grove cemetery.

Peggy Worley
(December 16, 1931 - December 1, 2012)

Peggy Worley was born December 16, 1931 and departed this life December 1, 2012 reaching the age of 80. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Melvola (Roberts) Young.

She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Worley and to this union 7 children were born.

She is survived by: 3 sons, Kirby (Pat) Worley of Georgetown, KY, David Worley of Delhi, OH, and Timothy “Timmy” (Vicki) Worley of Florence, KY; 4 daughters, Shirley (Paul) Davidson of Manchester, KY, Mildred (Edward) Wells, of Butler, KY, Cathy Hicks of East Enterprise, IN, and Peggy Sue (Lee) Jones of Foster, KY; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 4 sisters, Judy, Janice, and Flonnie Chitwood and Debbie Corder; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Carl and Melvola Young, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill Worley; 1 brother, Junior; and 5 sisters, Wilda, Lulabelle, Lucille, Beulah, and Freeda; and 1 grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Decker officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring cemetery.

Leta Bowlin
(June 20, 1923 - December 1, 2012)

Leta Bowlin was born June 20, 1923 and departed this life Saturday, December 1, 2012 reaching the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late James and Leona (Miller) Sidwell.

She was united in marriage to Mitchell Earnest Bowlin and to this union 3 children were born.

She is survived by: 2 sons, Art (Jane) Bowlin and David Bowlin; 5 grandchildren, Tommy Waters, Lora Wilson, Rylan Bowlin, Jason Bowlin, and Autumm Brewster; and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 sister, Lena Zimmerman; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, James and Leona Sidwell, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Mitchell Earnest Bowlin; and 1 daughter, Mary Bell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring cemetery.

Jep Carter Piercy
December 11, 1944 - December 1, 2012

Jep Carter Piercy was born December 11, 1944 and entered into eternal life Saturday, December 1, 2012 reaching the age of 67. He was the son of the late Raymond Taft and Rosie May (Denney) Piercy.

He is survived by: special friend, Linda Callahan; 2 sons, Wayne (Rosie) Piercy and Kenneth Piercy; 1 daughter, Tara Piercy; 2 step daughters, Lisa and Jennifer Hunley; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Willie and Jack Piercy; and 2 sisters, Sally Brummett and Lilly Brown; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Raymond and Rosie Piercy, he was preceded in death by: 1 step son, Stacey Bruce Hunley; 4 brothers, John, Billy, Bobby, and Melton Piercy; 1 sister, Betty Jean Piercy; sister-in-law, Bonnie Piercy; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Brummett.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 10 – 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Wayne Piercy officiating. Burial will be in Taylor’s Grove cemetery.

Mary Barnett
(January 5, 1923 - December 2, 2012)

Mary Barnett was born January 5, 1923 and departed this life Sunday, December 02, 2012 reaching the age of 89. She was the daughter of the late A. G. and Minnie (Jones) Gregory.

She was united in marriage to Lawrence Barnett who preceded her in death.

She is survived by: her nephews, Allan (Tammy) Flowers of Albany, KY, Bill Gregory of Lafayette, IN and Rondal Gregory of Atwood, IN; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother, David Gregory; and 2 sisters, Margaret Flowers and Ida Mae Cross.

Wilburn Ray Adams

Wilburn Ray Adams was born June 19, 1946 and departed this life Wednesday, December 12, 2012 reaching the age of 66. He was the son of Alpha and Lela Marie (Roberts) Adams.

He was united in marriage to Laura Darlene Hicks and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Darlene Adams; 1 son, Chris Adams; 1 daughter, Dawn Brown; 2 grandchildren; and 3 step grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Jim and Danny Adams; and 1 sister, Wanda Thompson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Alpha and Lela Adams, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Bobby Adams; and 2 sisters, Angie and Betty Adams.

Mary Jo Southwood was born April 27, 1941 and departed this life Thursday, December 20, 2012 reaching the age of 71. She was the daughter of the late Hughie Earl and Ina Lee (Alley) Southwood.

She is survived by: 1 brother, Truman Southwood of Blue Eye, MO; 1 sister, Louise Edwards of Monticello, KY; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Hughie and Ina Southwood, she was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Henry Southwood; and 1 sister, Betty Donaldson.

Marjorie Robertson was born January 18, 1945 and departed this life Friday, December 21, 2012 reaching the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Cletus Crabtree and Jessie Swofford.

She is survived by: her husband, Franklin "Frank" Robertson; 1 son, Vince Troxell; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, Roger and David Crabtree; and 1 sister, Kathy; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

Mack Chriswell was born March 19, 1942 and departed this life Saturday, December 22, 2012 reaching the age of 70 years. He was the son of the late Herby and Cassie (Slagle) Chriswell.

He was united in marriage to Ethel Frances Parmley and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Patty Chriswell; 2 sons, Mikel (Melissa) Chriswell of Lebanon, IN and Bobby (Julie) Chriswell of Lafayette, IN; 2 daughters, Lesa Chriswell of Frankfort, IN and Kathy (Eddie) Davis of Frankfort, IN; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
