Bell Baisden, 76, Newark, Ohio, formerly of Hardy, Kentucky, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark.

Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Kentucky

Delores Richardson

Delores Richardson, 65, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, formerly of Crum, died Saturday, march 20, 2004, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Martin County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Virgil and Betty Maynard.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis "Bo" Maynard and Lenel Maynard and one sister, Christine Brewer.

She was a homemaker.

Delores is survived by her husband, Carlos J. Richardson Sr., of Olive Hill; five sons, Carlos J. Richardson Jr., Ricky Richardson, Brad Richardson and Travis Jennings Richardson, all of Olive Hill and Randy Richardson of Easley, South Carolina; four daughters, Bonnie Robinson of Olive Hill; Deanna Nix of Pickens, South Carolina and Gay Lynn Richardson and Eula Mae Carroll, both of Easley; two sisters, Estelene Moore of Louisa, Kentucky and Marie Richardson of Daytona, Fla. and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2004, at the Warfield, Kentucky, chapel of Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Smith.

Burial will follow at the Richardson Family cemetery at Crum.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the Warfield chapel.

Arrangements are under direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home.

Dixie Mickey

Dixie Mae Mickey, 65, of McVeigh, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Good Shephard Community Nursing Home.

Born May 8, 19389, in McVeigh, Kentucky, to Mary Marie Mickey of McVeigh, Kentucky, and the late Moses Ray Mickey, she was a member of McVeigh United Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Lee Mickey and Alonzo Darrell Ward.

Surviving are her son, Jack Mickey of Runningsprings, Cal.; brothers, Ray (Sue) Mickey of McVeigh, Kentucky, Dennis Ray (Diane) Mickey of Brawley, Cal., Roy Irvin (Donna) Mickey of Lake Elsinore, Cal. and Lawson Ward of McVeigh, Kentucky; sisters, Judy (Larry) Hensley of McVeigh, Kentucky and Patty (Randy) Griffith of Feds Creek, Kentucky; 22 nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004, 1 p.m., at McVeigh Uni-ted Baptist Church wit Orbie Justice and others officiating. Burial will follow at the Bob Dotson cemetery, Ramson, Kentucky Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday night at the church with special services both nights at 7 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Kentucky

Thelma Maynard

Thelma Naomi Maynard, 82, of Canada, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at her residence.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday evening at Rogers Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Rogers Funeral Home.

Hester Smith

Hester Smith, 87, of McAndrews, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in the Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday at Rogers Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Kentucky

Nannette Davis

Nannette Davis, 54, of McCarr, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004, at the Mingo Manor Nursing Home in Williamson, W. Va.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by the R. S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Phelps, Kentucky

Cora O'Brien

Cora Viers O'Brien, 92, of Pikeville, Kentucky, formerly of the Williamson and Belfry area, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Jenkins Community Hospital.

Born November 30, 1911, in Clintwood, Va., to the late Columbus Viers and Emma Hall Viers, she was a homemaker. Mrs. O'Brien was a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. O'Brien; and sisters, Dale Vickers and Maggie Mullins.

Surviving are her son, Johnnie (Cathy) O'Brien of Belfry, Kentucky; sisters, Italy Crabtree of Clintwood, Va., Izetta Reeves of Florida and Draxie Kish of Brunswick, Ohio; and one grandchild, Justin O'Brien.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004, 11 a.m., at the Moun-tain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Kentucky, with Rev. Mark Helton officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Justice Jr., B.J. Hatfield, Corey Hatfield, Johnny Hatfield, Billy Har-mon and Eddie Varney. Serv-ing as honorary pallbearers are Clinton Hensley, Mike Smith and Randall Jones.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home with services at 7 p.m. with Bro. Bob Werntz officiating.

Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, Kentucky, has assisted the family with arrangements.

Lavon Reedy

Lavon Reedy, 79, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 2004, 1 p.m., at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at J.U. Thacker Mausoleum, Shelbiana, Kentucky

Visitation will be held Thursday, 6 p.m., at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Inc., Pikeville, Kentucky

Nita Spencer

Nita J. Spencer of Brandon, Fla., formerly of Pikeville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully just after midnight March 1, 2004, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Annie Jordan; her parents, Jack and Ann Spencer of Pikeville, Kentucky; her sister, Julia Childress of Louisville, Kentucky; and her brother, John Spencer of Louisville, Kentucky

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004, 4-10 p.m. at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2004, 1 p.m., at Lucas and Hall Funeral Home with Bill Staggs officiating. Burial will follow at Anne E. Young cemetery.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 8, 2004, at Southside Baptist Church, Brandon, Fla. with Peter S. Vande Weghe officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lucas and Hall Funeral Home, Pikeville, Kentucky

C.L. Miller

C.L. Miller, 82, of Forest Hills, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 29, 2004, at Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born August 2, 1921, in Carbondale, W.Va., to the late Floyd Miller an Ollie Derossett Miller, he was retired from Appalachian Power Company. Mr. Miller was an elder at the Williamson Area Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II; a former Red Cross First Aid instructor; and worked many years with the Boy Scouts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Miller, Jr.; and granddaughter, Haley Storm Miller.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie Varney Miller of Forest Hills, Kentucky; sons, Leon (Sandy) Miller of Richmond, Kentucky and Paul (Susan) Miller of Forest Hills, Kentucky; daughters, Carol (Wayne) Howard of Harlan, Kentucky and Karen (Charles) Reed of Turkey Creek, Kentucky; brothers, Woodrow (Elizabeth) Miller of Dayton, Ohio and Johnny (Lyda) Miller of Algonac, Mich.; sisters, Juanita Baker of Salisbury, Md. and Shelby Hensley of Taylor, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004, 1 p.m., at Hatfield Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joe Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Kentucky

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are David Varney, Jason Miller, Brandon Miller, Christopher Miller, Winfred Reed, Cecil Varney, Charles Varney and Jack Justice.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday and anytime Wednesday at the funeral home with services at 7 p.m. each evening.

Hatfield Funeral Chapel of Toler, Kentucky, has assisted the family with arrangements.

Linda Lou Mullins

Linda Lou Mullins, 57, of McVeigh, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 29, 2004, at her residence.

Born November 11, 1946, in Mingo County, W. Va., to Margie Gilman Thompson of McVeigh, Kentucky and the late Andy Thompson, she previously worked at Jimmy's Shoe Store, Williamson, W. Va. and Maloney's Department Store and K-Mart at Goody, Kentucky She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Freddie Thompson.

Surviving are her husband, Donnie Mullins of McVeigh, Kentucky; son, Rod Mullins of Huddy, Kentucky; brother, Junior Thompson of Orrville, Ohio; sisters, Mable Webb of Farmington, Mich., Bonnie Williams of Wooster, Ohio, Ethel Fowler of Wooster, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2004, 11 a.m., at Rogers Funeral Home with Roger Mullins, Buddy Kendrick and Orbie Justice officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Kentucky Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Funeral Home with special services both nights at 7 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of R. E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Kentucky

Lillian Dancy

Lillian Wood Dancy, age 95, of Betsy Layne, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the Pikeville Health Care Center in Pikeville, Kentucky She was born in Russell County, Va., on March 25, 1908 to the late William and Nancy Elizabeth Garret Wood.

Final services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Blue Ridge Memorial Garden Mausoleum with burial following at Blue Ridge Memorial, Prosperity, W. Va. Arrangements are under the direction of Justice Funeral Home.

Cora O'Brien

Cora Viers O'Brien, age 92, of Pikeville, Kentucky, formerly ofthe Williamson and Belfry area, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in the Jenkins Community Hospital in Jenkins, Kentucky

Cecil "C.L." Miller, 82, of Forest Hills, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky

Luther Salyer, 85, of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 8, 2004, at Mt. View Health Care of Elkhorn City, Kentucky

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2004, 12 noon, at Bailey Funeral Home with burial following at Elkhorn City cemetery, Elkhorn City, Kentucky Military rites will be performed by D.A.V. Chapter 140, Elkhorn City.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home.
