Barbara Lee Hundley, 60, of Crestwood, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at U of L Medical Center.

She was a member of Rob Morris Chapter No. 114 Order of Eastern Star, a Christian and worked for Humana.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira F. Hundley.

Survivors include her mother, Mildred Hundley; sisters, Claudette H. (Tom) Taylor and Alayne (Dan) Stinchcomb; 12 nieces and nephews; and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Service were Sunday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services and an Eastern Star service took place as well.

Burial took place at Valley of Rest cemetery.

Her family wishes to express gratitude to doctors, nurses and staff at U of L Medical Center.

Patricia King, 54

Leitchfield

Patricia King, 54, of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010, in Elizabethtown. Survivors include her husband, Robert C. King of Leitchfield; a son, Josh (Tara Moneypenny) King of New Albany, Ind.; and a daughter, Delisa Dickens of Charlestown, Ind.

Services were Nov. 10 at Bagdad cemetery.

Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville handled arrangements.

Alexander William ‘Bubba’ Peck, 13

La Grange

Alexander William “Bubba” Peck, 13, of La Grange, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Survivors include his parents, John W. and Sandra Peck; his sisters, Sarah and Payton Peck; and his grandparents, Robert and Marian Pfanstiel, Allen Peck and Mayne Wilson Peck.

A celebration of his life took place Tuesday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 311 W. Jefferson St.

Burial took place in Valley of Rest cemetery.

Memorial contributions may go to Cedar Lake Lodge.

June Frances Isaacs Shipp, 72

Smithfield

June Frances Isaacs Shipp, 72, of Smithfield, died Thursday, December 16, 2010.

She was born August 18, 1938, in Campbellsville.

She was graduated from Campbellsville High School and later from St. Joseph Infirmary School of Nursing in Lexington in 1959, and attended Campbellsville University.

She was employed by Rosary Hospital and Taylor County Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

Later, she was the operating room director at the St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Louisville; Lee Moffet Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.; and Palm Beach Regional Hospital in Wellington, Fla..

She spent three years as operating room director at Prestonsburg Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Edith Frances Carroll.

Survivors include her son, Steven Jarrett Smith of Campbellsville; two sisters, Imogene Isaacs of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Dr. Jann Isaacs (Dr. W. Henry Baughman) Aaron of Smithfield; one brother, Terry (Karen) Isaacs; a nephew, Drew; a great-niece, Josey Ann of Murray and her fiancée, Dr. Hugh Sam Williams, his two children, John Sam (Nicole) Williams and Allison Williams and his grandchildren, Grayson and Harrison Willard and Amelia Williams, all of Oldham County.

Local services were Wednesday at Oldham County Funeral Home, 706 W. Jefferson St., La Grange.

A memorial service is scheduled Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. prior to the service in Campbellsville.

Mark Wayne Thompson, 53

La Grange

Mark Wayne Thompson, 53, of La Grange, formerly of Valley Station passed away December 13, 2010.

Survivors include sisters, Maria Thompson Cahill, Laette (David) Lally and Mary Blair; brothers, Joseph Thompson and Matthew (Jennifer) Thompson; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place in Bethany cemetery at a later date.

Oldham County Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Tetonia Rose Thorne, infant

Tetonia Rose Thorne, infant, daughter of Donna Sue Abbott and Michael Ray Thorne, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Baptist Hospital Northeast.

Services were Monday at Oldham County Funeral Home.

Stephen Lee Tousignant, 76

La Grange

Stephen Lee Tousignant, 76, of La Grange, formerly of Belmar, N.J,. passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010.

Survivors include his daughter, Anne Brooks (Craig) Skinner and three grandchildren, Amanda, C.J. and Emma Skinner.

A celebration of life will take place in New Jersey at a later date.

Oldham County Funeral Home handled local arrangements.

Charles Gavin Winkler, 23

Louisville

Charles Gavin Winkler, 23, of Louisville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 15, 2010.

He was born April 20, 1987. He was a graduate of Buckner Alternative High School in Oldham County.

His kindness and generosity to small children and animals made the world a brighter place. Few who met Gavin walked away without smiles on their faces…or the sense that they had met a special young man with a passion for adventure, an irrepressible spirit, and an unquenchable, charming curiosity about life. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shirley Swope and Julia Winkler, grandfather, Sherley Winkler; step-grandmother, Barbara Swope; step-grandfather, Robert Heer; and uncle, Paul Winkler.

Survivors include his father, John (Kyle) Winkler; his mother Susan (Pip) Pullen-Swope; brother, Travis Winkler; sister, Julia Winkler; stepbrothers, Robert and Daniel Prince; grandfather, Samuel G. Swope; step-grandmother, Jo Heer; his uncles, David (Joan) Winkler and Brad (Ann) Swope; his aunt, Patti Swope; and his cousins, Matt Winkler, Meagan (Phillip) Sisk and Joe Winkler.

John A. Billings, 71

Greensburg

John A. Billings, 71, of Greensburg, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 26, 2010.

He was born on March 5, 1939, in Oldham County, the son of Clayton and Imogene Thacker Billings.

He was a farmer, owner of Billings and Sons Sandblasting, and worked for O’Mara Paving Co.

He married Dorothy M. Timmons on July 26, 1958, in Shelby County.

John attended Oldham County High School and at 50, he earned his GED from Greensburg High School.

John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg and was an ordained Deacon at Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Billings of Greensburg; mother, Imogene Billings of Pewee Valley; children, Amanda (Brian) Burlock of Arizona, John Scott (Shawn Eddy) of Monticello and Michael A. (Criss) Billings of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Joshua, Casey, Cord, Grant, Paige, Morgan and RJ “Bubby”; sisters, Barbara Williams, Rosalie Ashey and Nancye (Ashley) Chilton; brother, Clayton (Mavis) Billings; and five great-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at Gilland-How Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.

Burial will take place in Union Baptist Church cemetery.

Visitation was Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.

Amanda Lynn Cable, 30

Milton

Amanda Lynn Cable, 30, of Milton, died Saturday, December 25, 2010, with her loving family at her side after a battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of Terry and Bonnie Colvin Cable and a lifelong resident of Milton.

She graduated from Trimble County High School in 1998 and later became a certified welder.

She had worked at Arvin Meritor as a machine operator, and previously worked at Ameriform, Frisch’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dairy Queen and Madison Precision.

She enjoyed shopping and spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Samantha J. Cable; grandparents, Garrett Cable and James H. and Dorothy Colvin; and great-grandparents, Prentice and Hazel Mikesell, Julia and Colonel Cable, Millie and Henry Colvin and Flora and Clifford Johnson.

Survivors include her parents, Bonnie L. Colvin of Louisville and Terry G. (Gretta) Cable of Milton; her brother, Garrett Cable of Milton; her sister, Hannah Cable of Milton; her grandmother, Joy Cable of Milton; her nephew, Aiden Cable of Milton; her uncles and aunts, Robert and Brenda Cable of Madison, Ind., Clay and Lisa Cable of Carroll County, Paul White of Locust Grove, Okla., DeeDee and Steve Copple of Scottsburg, Ind., James and Marty Ohrmann of Topeka, Kan., Melanie and Les Truitt of Carrollton, Clifford and Sonia White of Shelbyville, Ind., Betty Dry of Locust Grove, Okla., Coletta “Sue” Fairchild of Oklahoma; her companion of nine years, Chris Skirvin of Milton; and numerous cousins and other relatives.

Services are 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, Ind.

Visitation is 9 a.m. today and also took place Wednesday.

Jeffersonville, Ind.

Hettie Peters Dauby, 93, of Jeffersonville, Ind., died Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Harriet Delaisse Peters; a daughter, Mary Ann Dauby; five sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; three sons, Paul E. (Terry) Dauby of Pasedena, Md., John M.(Geraldine) Dauby and Leo (Pam) Dauby, all of Jeffersonville; five daughters, Mary Catherine (Chuck) Thompson of Newburg, Ind., Sister Agnes Marie and Sister Rosemary Dauby, OSB, of Ferdinand, Ind., Dorothy Marie (Charlie) Wycoff of Jeffersonville and Mary Margaret (Carl) Ball of Pewee Valley.

Services were Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Jeffersonville.

Burial took place in St. Anthony cemetery.

Visitation was Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may go to Sisters of St. Benedict, Ferdinand, Ind., or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Jeffersonville.
