Mrs. Betty Jean Stallins, age 81, of Princeton died Monday, May 28 at Princeton Health & Rehab following a long illness. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Doug Stallins, Evansville, IN; three daughters, Betty Brown, Evansvlle, IN, Brenda Still & husband, Sam, Chandler, IN and Lana Wynn & husband, Lanny, Caldwell Co., KY; one daughter-in-law, Margaret Stilwell, Newburgh, IN; two brothers, Homer Dixon & wife, Louise, Hopkinsville, KY and Tommy Dixon & wife, Lorene, Princeton, KY; and one sister, Judy Cartwright, Princeton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olean "Curly" Stallins, her parents, Homer Terry Dixon and Birdie Cunningham Dixon, one son, Stephen Stallins and one son-in-law, Charlie Brown and one sister, Peggy Sue Dixon.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 31 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill cemetery in Princeton.
James "Jimmy" Sherrill, Sr.

James "Jimmy" Sherrill, Sr., 71, of the Creswell Community in Caldwell County, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Western Baptist Hospital after a long illness. He was a mask maker at Shawnee Plastics and a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by five sons, Jesse Sherrill and wife, Brooke, Caldwell Co., KY, Robert Harrell, Caldwell Co., KY, J. J. Sherrill, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Pineville, KY, Steve Sherrill and partner, Sherrie Jones, Dawson Springs, KY and Danny Sherrill and wife, Shanna, Caldwell Co., KY, two honorary sons, Craig Gerhardt and wife, Dawn, Caldwell Co., KY and David Jenkins and wife, Michelle, Lyon Co., KY one brother, George Sherrill, Caldwell Co., KY, one sister, Louise Papp, Romulus, MI, fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Marie Decker Sherrill, father, Guy Sherrill, mother, Lorean Rakestraw Stevens and step-father, Raymond Stevens and brother, Burtis "Bo" Sherrill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday with a Masonic service to be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. J. J. Sherrill, Rev. Danny Sherrill and Rev. Rich Gardner. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill cemetery in Caldwell County, KY.

Ila Dunn age 82 of Eddyville, KY. died Monday May 21, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa after a short illness.
She was a homemaker. She is survived by four sons: Wayne M. Whitney, LaGrange, GA, Jimmy D. Whitney, Caldwell County, KY, Gary L. Whitney, Owensboro, KY and Kenneth R. Whitney, Benton, KY, three brothers, Henry Wells, Louisville, KY, Linnard Wells, Eddyville, KY, Raymond Wells, Eddyville, KY, one sister, Juanita Murray, Benton, KY, eight grandchildren, Jamie Whitney, Jason Whitney, Jon Whitney, Mike Whitney, Shannon Lawrence, Kenny Paul Whitney, Mary Ellen Whitney, Sharon LaRue and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Waymon Whitney, 2nd husband, Bill Dunn, parents, William Andrews and Nancy Colleen Tabor Wells, two brothers, William C. Wells, James Wells and one sister. Wilma Prescott.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at Morgan's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove cemetery in Eddyville, KY.

Ralph Cooper, age 85 of Princeton died on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 4:45 PM at Princeton Health & Rehab Center in Princeton following a long illness.
Mr. Cooper was retired, assembly line worker, wax candle factory, OP Handle Factory and a member of Highland Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Nola Mae Sewell, Princeton, KY and Pearlie Lewis, Princeton KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Cooper, Sr. and Pearl Trusty Cooper, 6 brothers, Aaron, Gene, Wayne, Hobart, Cyrus and Richard Cooper, 3 sisters, Nancy Oliver, Myrtle Gruppo and Philistine Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Dean Cotton officiating and burial to follow in Cedar Hill cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Sunday.
Jake Hodge, 12
Jake Hodge, 12, of Marion, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his home in Marion.
A member of Marion Baptist Church, Crittenden County Rockets 12 and Under Baseball Team, Crittenden County Little League Football and Basketball; and Kentucky Junior Rodeo Association, he was a son of Denis and Shannon Hodge.
Survivors in addition to his parents include a sister, Jessi Hodge of Marion; grandparents, Keith and Christine Hodge and Tony and Pat Collins, all of Marion; great-grandmothers, Anna Collins and Dadie Belt, both of Marion; aunts and uncles, Stuart and Pam Collins and Shawna and Philip Sharp, all of Marion; and cousins, Maggie and Mauri Collins and Tucker and Turner Sharp, all of Marion.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 24, at 1 p.m. at Rocket Arena at Crittenden County High School.
Stuart Collins and the Rev. Mike Jones officiated the service.
Burial followed in Mapleview cemetery.

Floyd Allan Morstein, 67, of Imperial Beach, Calif., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008.
Born May 14, 1940, he was the husband of Cozette Lester Morstein.
Locally he is survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Charly Anna and Dick Morgan.
A memorial graveside service will be held at the Lester Family cemetery, Hwy. 68, between Cadiz and Gracey, with military rites on Saturday, July 5, at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited.

Mrs. Barbara Jean Bowers, 69, of Murray, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 8:27 p.m. at her home.
A homemaker who attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Murray, she was born Dec. 8, 1938, in East Peoria, Ill., a daughter of Anna Volk of Peoria, Ill., and the late Leo Peckenpaugh.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Hall; and two grandchildren, Joyce Ann Burgess and Joanna Hope Bowers.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Bobby Gene Bowers Sr.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Sowell of Hopkinsville, Ella and Thomas Burgess and Donna and Kurt Weigel, all of Murray; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Ilayna Bowers of Crofton and Bobby Jr. and Cheryl Bowers of Princeton; 11 grandchildren, R.J. Sargent, Alisha Sargent, Toby Burgess, Anna Clinard, Joey Burgess, Stacey Burgess, Hannah Bowers, Lauren Bowers, Samuel Bowers, Nerissa Bowers and Isaac Bowers; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Pat and Kenny Johnson of Lebanon, Mo., Kay Taylor of North Pekin, Ill., and Shirly Taghan of East Peoria, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Bill Hall of Tremont, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, at 10 a.m. at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray with the Rev. Terry Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in Elm Grove cemetery.

Jacob Curtis (Jake) Davidson, 18
Jacob Curtis (Jake) Davidson, 18, of Sturgis, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 12:55 a.m. at 240 Pancher Creek Road in Lyon County.
A 2008 graduate of Union County High School, he was employed by Tim Johns Trucking of Sturgis and Equality Recycling of Equality Ill., and was to attend Murray State University in the fall.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Cobb Green; and paternal great-grandfather, Willam Baldwin.
Survivors include his father, Reginald Brent Davidson of Eddyville; his mother and stepfather, Kelly Jo and Tim Johns of Sturgis; a brother, Luke Davidson of Sturgis; a stepsister, Megan Clark of Bowling Green; two stepbrothers, Derek and Matthew Johns of Sturgis; his paternal grandparents, George and Mary Sue Davidson of Eddyville; maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Sarita and Charles Holt of Princeton; maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother, Bill and Kathy Stephens of Montgomery, Ala.; maternal great-grandmother, Kathleen Green Faucett of Fredonia; and paternal great-grandmother, Helen Baldwin of Kuttawa.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, at 1 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Chapel at Eddyville.
The Rev. Bill Taylor will officiate the service.
Burial will folllow in Asher cemetery at Fredonia.

A.C. Ramey Jr., 83
A.C. Ramey Jr., 83, of Kuttawa, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 7:15 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A member of Eddyville United Methodist Church, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in World War II. He was a son of the late Avery C. and Thelma Holloway Ramey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Terrell Ramey in 2006; and a sister, Virginia Bell Glass.
Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Ramey, Tom Ramey and Kent Ramey, all of Kuttawa; five grandchildren Jed, Seth, Loran, Channing and Douglas Ramey; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hale Ramey and Tony Ramey, both of Eddyville, and H.C. Beck of Princeton; four sisters, Mary Smith, Ethel Faulkner and Ann Dunning, all of Eddyville; and Linda Williamson of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, at 1 p.m. at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Eddyville. The Rev. Jack Larwa will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Hickory Grove cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Robbie Osborn Crowe, 82
Robbie Osborn Crowe, 82, of Princeton, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 11:20 a.m., at Princeton Health and Rehab Center, following a short illness.
A retired housekeeper and member of Spillman Chapel C.M.E. Church, she was born, Feb. 16, 1926, in Caldwell County a daughter of the late Marshall Osborn and Stella Copeland Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiwatha Crowe; and a son, Reginald Clayton.
Survivors include two sons, James Clayton of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jeffrey Lewis Clayton of Chicago Ill.; three daughters, Kathy Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., and Jan Thompson and Linda Clayton, both of Princeton; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
The Rev. Dwayne Golightly, the Rev. Tammy Acree and the Rev. Oscar Powell will officiate the service.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Miles Wesley Ladd, 97
Miles Wesley Ladd, 97, of Princeton, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at 8:20 a.m. at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, following a short illness.
A member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 60-year Mason, retired diesel mechanic from Ryder Truck in Golden Colo., and World War II Army veteran, he was born April 12, 1911, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Herbert and Pearl Jewell Ladd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madge White Ladd; a son, Jerry Ladd; two brothers, Estel Ladd and Corbett Ladd; and two sisters, Harvie Keller and Flora McCormack.
Survivors include a sister, Bertha Harris of Caldwell County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 1, at 1:30 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Richie McKinney officiating.
Burial followed in Rogers cemetery in Christian County.
