Robert Franklin

Robert "Bob" Franklin, 68, of Redman Avenue in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late John D. Franklin and Annie Bell Vaughn Franklin, he was born on March 14, 1934 in Taylor County Ky., and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Franklin was a retired employee of Flavorich Milk Company.

He was married to Linda Smith on July 14, 1956. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Julie Franklin of Versailles, Ky., and Scott and Tanya Franklin of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Brian Franklin II and Cory Franklin, both of Versailles, and Haley Franklin and Tyler Franklin, both of Campbellsville; and one sister and one brother, Pansy Willis of Campbellsville and John D. Franklin Jr. of Jamestown.

He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ralph Franklin, Guy Daniel Franklin, Hollis Franklin, Plez Franklin and Paul Franklin.

Funeral was at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. The Rev. Jim Durham officiated.

Pallbearers were Leslie Clark, Gary FeldKamp, Lynn Franklin, Kenny Willis, John Willis and R.A. Willis.

Luther Marcum

Luther Creed "LC" Marcum, 93, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky.

Son of the late Willie E. Marcum and Melissa N. Rafferty Marcum, he was born on Oct. 18, 1909 in Green County, Ky., and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a farmer.

He was married to Dixie Milby on July 4, 1940. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter and one son, Jane A. Morrison of Greensburg and William Creed Marcum of Mt. Sherman, Ky.; one sister, Clara Warren of Louisville, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Felicia Morrison, Katie Morrison and Wes Morrison, all of Louisville, Chasity Marcum of Mt. Sherman and B.J. Marcum of Florida.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Marcum.

Funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 2 at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Green County Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ancil Durrett officiated.

Pallbearers were James Scott, Stanley Moss, Gary Milby, Aubrey Calhoun, Chat Moss, Tommy McCubbin, Gary Calhoun and William Marcum.

Honorary pallbearers were Carlos Milby, Morris Milby and Philip Milby.

Charles W. Lee

Charles W. Lee, 68, of Gidget Trail in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville, after an illness.

Son of the late Henry and Ethel Lee of Campbellsville, he was a disabled farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Mardis Lee of Campbellsville; two daughters, Erica Lee of Campbellsville and Lisa Webb of Louisville; one grandson, Matthew Hubbard; one brother, Lerman DeSpain of Sandwich, Ill.; and one sister, Nina Evans of Houston, Texas.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Ray Judd officiated.

Pallbearers were Matthew Hubbard, Don Webb, Anthony Sluder, Glen Evans, Junior Evans and John Chesser.

Nellie Catherine Wagoner

Nellie Catherine Wagoner, 86, of Reids Chapel Road, Campbellsville, Ky., died Saturday May 17, 2003, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky. after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Roy and Bertha Williams White of Taylor County, Ky., was a retired homemaker and a member of Elkhorn Methodist Church.

She was married to Walter Wagoner, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons and three daughters and their spouses, Charles and Judy Wagoner, Carl Lewis and Dora Wagoner, Nellie and Charles Russell Cox, Margaret and Tommy Murphy, all of Campbellsville, and Allene and Charles Chelf of Mount Sherman; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Seven brothers and two sisters, Wilbur, Ray, Coakley, Winfrey, Jesse, Ralph and Clemmie White, Flora Williams and Lucy Geneva Peppers also preceded her in death.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday May 19 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Elkhorn cemetery. Bro. Larry Harrah and Bro. Clinton Hale officiated.

Pallbearers were Charles Shannon Chelf, Gary Cox, Larry Cox, David Redmon, Ryan Cox and Kenny Neal.

Elitha S. Feese

Elitha S. Feese, 80, Columbia, Ky., died Thursday May 29, 2003, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia.

She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Hallie Burton Sinclair and was a member of Plum Point Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She was married to Joseph Estill Feese, who preceded her in death on June 19, 1957.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Ann Feese of Knoxville, Tenn., Dicky and Mary Lou Fesse of Edmonton, Ky., Danny and Tammy Feese and Joe and Margaret Feese, all of Columbia; seven daughters, and their spouses, Brenda Feese of Louisville, Jo Ann and Lewis Curry of Columbia, Sue Feese of Columbia, Alice and Wayne Burton of Columbia, Fay and Donnie Garrett of Edmonton, Ky., Connie and James Edmonds of Columbia, and Debbie and Craig Martin of Louisville; one sister, Ida Fuqua of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday May 31 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial was in Haven Hill cemetery. The Rev. Cliff Burris and the Rev. Lewis Haynes officiated.

Pallbearers were Doug Pike, Lynn Feese, Kenny Perkins, Chris Coffey, Johnny Pike and Joey Feese.

Honorary pallbearers were Dan Burton, David Garrett, Joshua Bean and Tim Burton.

Collins Bryant

Collins Bryant, 90, Jamestown, Ky., formerly of Adair County, Ky., died Friday May 30, 2003, at Fair Oaks Health Care in Jamestown.

She was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Ella Bryant Collins, was a member of Shiloh Christian Church and a homemaker.

She was married to Marvin Thomas "Red" Bryant, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1976.

Survivors include one daughter, Imogene Bryant of Columbia, one son, William O. Bryant and his wife Ruth Ann of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Maxine Bryant of Columbia, and Letha Sullivan of Indiana; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial was in Freedom cemetery. Bro. Garnett Hammond officiated.

Pallbearers were Patrick Bryant, Paul Bryant, Michael Bryant, Kevin Bryant, Nicholas Dixon and Louis Reeves.

Nadean Baker

Nadean Baker, 74, of Columbia, Ky. died Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at her home after a short illness.

She was the daughter of the late Tom Paul and Mary Sue Hill Lewis of Adair County, Ky.

Baker was co-owner of Baker's Taxi in Columbia for 30 years and was retired from Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She attended Antioch United Methodist Church.

She was married to Verner Baker, who preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 1982.

Survivors include one daughter, Rita Campbell and her husband Steve of Columbia; one grandson, Brent Campbell and his wife Shannon of Columbia; three brothers, Ralph Lewis of Chance, Ky., Mack Lewis of Columbia, and Harris Lewis of Columbia; and three sisters, Paul Baker of Greensburg, Ky., and Willow Shelton and Euna Sullivan, both of Columbia.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, with burial in Antioch cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Dooley officiated.

Pallbearers were Autry Baker, Carson Lewis, Randolph Lewis, Rick Shelton, Robby Shelton and Barry Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Donald Campbell, Hugh Lewis, Billy Morrison and Rocky Morrison.

Alton E. Neagle

Alton E. Neagle, 75, of Columbia, Ky., formerly of Greensburg, Ky. died Friday July 4, 2003, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

Son of the late Arthur A. Neagle and Emma Martin Neagle, he was born on May 21, 1928 in Greensburg and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.

Neagle was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Local VFW Post 5813, a life member of the DAV and a farmer.

He was married to Frances Wilson on Dec. 7, 1954, who preceded him in death on July 28, 1996.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Alton II and Monica Neagle of Campbellsville; and four grandchildren, Brian Neagle, Mindy Neagle and Brynn Neagle, all of Summersville, and Shane Thomas of Campbellsville.

Three brothers and two sisters, Duard Neagle, Thurman Neagle, Talmage Neagle, Mable Neagle and Gwendola Neagle also preceded him in death.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8 at Cowherd & Parrot Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in Greensburg cemetery. The Rev. Carl Lusk officiated.

Pallbearers were Brian Neagle, Ricky Bohanon, Larry Handy, Shane Thomas, Greg Willis, John Paul Edwards and Nathan Keith Wilson.

Sheilda Bailey

Sheilda K. Bailey, 52, of Edinburgh, Ind., died Friday, July 25, 2003 at her home.

Daughter of the late Clifton Lile and Opal Pierce Lile, she was born on Dec. 30, 1950 in Green County, Ky.

She was married to Harold W. Bailey on Nov. 4, 1967, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons and one daughter, Jeff D. Bailey, Greg A. Bailey and Deborah A. Shera, all of Edinburgh, Ind.; three sisters, Virginia Campbell of Greensburg, Joan Dowell of Edmonton and Devona Campbell of Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

One brother, Robert Lile, also preceded her in death.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Ind. Burial was in Rest Haven cemetery in Edinburgh.

Lillie England

Lillie England, 87, of Bear Track Road, Campbellsville, Ky., died Friday, July 25, 2003 in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Claudis Wilson and Annie Tandy Wilson, she was born on June 14, 1916 in Taylor County, Ky. and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was married to James England on Dec. 29, 1937, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1991.

Survivors include on daughter and son-in-law, Fayola and Alvin Richerson of Campbellsville; two grandchildren, Michael Richerson and Kellie Jones of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren, Kacie Richerson, Kelsi Richerson, Kasandra Richerson, Kori Richerson, Mackenzie Jones, Madison Jones and Keaton Jones, all of Campbellsville; and one sister, Bonnie Monroe of Louisville.

Two grandchildren, Gary Richerson and Karen Richerson; one brother and one sister, Harold Wilson and Vivian Vance also preceded her in death.

Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday July 28 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral

Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Ray England and Bro. Chuck Pollard officiated.

Pallbearers were Willard Bright, David England, Gary England, Larry England, Mark Lollar, Nick Milby and Ronnie Monroe.

Ricky Grant

Ricky Grant, 38, of Glensfork, Ky. died Friday, July 25, 2003 at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, Ky.

He was the son of Raymond and Geneva Andrew Grant of Glensfork.

Grant was a drywall contractor.

Besides his parents, Grant is survived by three sons, Jordan Wade Grant, Johnathan Wade Grant and Justin Wade Grant, all of Glensfork; maternal grandmother, Christine Huddleston Andrew of Glensfork; and one sister, Stephanie Grant of Jamestown, Ky.

Funeral was at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 27 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial was in Grant Morrison cemetery. Bro. Stanley Watson and Bro. Hershey Giles officiated.

Pallbearers were Dwight Andrew, Troy Michael Andrew, Jimmy Brummett, Matthew Brummett, Jackie Helm and Michael Helm.
