Glenda Gail Hunt, 58

Glenda Gail Hunt, 58, of Frankfort, Ky., died on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at her home.

Daughter of the late Bradley Coffman and Lucille Lynn Austin, she was self employed of Glenda's Goodies in Frankfort.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Marca Cross of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Matthew Cross, Logan Cross and Casey Logsdon; one brother, Donald Carl Austin of Tennessee; and two sisters, Sue Clevenger and Debra Jones, both of Tennessee.

Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Darrell Ford officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Matthew Cross, Casey Logsdon, Don Austin, Robbie Clevenger, Donnie Wilkerson, Sean Wilkerson and Stuart Belcher.

Clarence 'Hutch' Hutchison, 78

Clarence "Hutch" Hutchison, 78, of Louisville, Ky., died on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at in Louisville.

Son of the late Colvin and Meekie Hutcherson, he was born in Adair County, Ky., on Feb. 1, 1926. He was a member of Shively Christian Church and a retired employee of American Standard where he worked for 40 years.

He was married to Helen Thomas Hutchison, who survives.

Survivors also include one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Brenda Hutchison of Louisville; one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Larry Schmuckie of Louisville; two grandchildren, Clayton Schmuckie and Lauren Schmuckie, both of Louisville; one sister, Kathleen Douthitt of Louisville; and two brothers-in-law, Travis Thomas and J.C. Thomas, both of Louisville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Hutcherson and Logan Hutcherson; and one sister, Gladys Richerson.

Funeral was Saturday, Sept. 11 at Southern Home of Arch L. Heady and Son in Louisville. Burial was in Brookside cemetery in Campbellsville.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wayside Christian Mission or the Kentucky Human Society.

Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Raymond Dalton 'Pops' Judd, 82

Raymond Dalton "Pops" Judd, 82, of Elizabethtown, Ky., formerly of Greensburg, Ky., died on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Albert Jefferson Judd and Martha Erman Chaudoin Judd, he was born in Green County, Ky., on Aug. 24, 1922. He was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church, Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM;, helped organized the first Green County Fire Department and became the first chief in 1963. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a farmer and former truck driver.

He married Agnes Wanain Davis on April 19, 1943. She survives.

Survivors also include one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Clemens of Elizabethtown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dastel and Kathy Judd of Livingston, Texas and Dexter and Tammy Judd of Jackson, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ruel Judd and Bruner Judd.

Funeral was Monday, Sept. 6 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. The Revs. Trent Davis and Garnett Wayne Davis officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery with military honors.

Pallbearers were John Clemens Jr., Eric Clemens, Glenn Tucker, Dastel Judd II, Ryan Judd, Todd Burkhardt, Matthew Judd, Allen Moeller and Tom Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Doyle Bishop, Larry Bishop, Mike Bishop and Oak Grove Separate Baptist Churches Sunday School class #1.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to the Oak Grove cemetery Fund or the Judd cemetery Fund and can be made at the funeral home.

Sam D. Lee, 87

Sam D. Lee, 87, of Columbia, Ky., died at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia after an illness.

Son of the late Richard and Eliza Jane Cooksey Lee of Russell County, Ky., he was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired farmer and member of Columbia Christian Church.

He was married to Louvern Wilson Lee, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Delphus and Becky Lee and Eddie Lee and Elaine Sinclair, all of Columbia; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Billy Caldwell of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Brian Lee, Craig Lee, Barbie Miller, Lindsey Lee, Chelsey Lee, Bradley Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell and Jennifer Caldwell; and one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert Lee, Charlie Lee, Oakley Lee, Othie Lee, Ollie Lee and Willie Lee; and four sisters, Dora Polston, Ada Guffey, Bessie Andrew and Josie Brown.

Funeral was Saturday, Sept. 4 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Bros. Raymond Martin and Terry White officiated. Burial was in Haven Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bradley Caldwell, Stephen Caldwell, Brian Lee, Craig Lee, Sam Miller and Jackie Cravens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Columbia Christian Churches debt retirement fund.

Mary C. 'May' Lee, 67

Mary C. "May" Lee, 67, of Pitman Valley Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of Dorothy Adams Camp of Campbellsville and the late Charles T. Camp, she was born in Robertson County, Tenn., on Nov. 1, 1936. She was a member of Sunnyhill Church of Christ, a homemaker and was retired from Campbellsville Apparel.

She married Bobby Lee on April 18, 1960. He survives.

Survivors also include two daughters and one son-in-law, Saundra Lee of Campbellsville and Patricia and Rodney Pitts of Cookeville, Tenn.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve and Kamie Lee of Glasgow, Ky., and Carl Lee of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren, Erin Pitts, Clint Pitts and Matthew Pitts, all of Cookeville, Jacob Lee, Caleb Lee and Kaitlyn Lee, all of Glasgow, and Austin Lee and Brooklyn Lee, both of Campbellsville; and three sisters, Frances Henderson, Carolyn Gossage and Charlene Shofner, all of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Monday, Sept. 6 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Greg Sharp, Danny McKibben and Scott Vifquain officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Booth, Ronnie Gossage, Pat Hardesty, Harry Kessler, Mark Reynolds and A.C. Wooley.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky and can be left at the funeral home.

Belvia Montgomery, 95

Belvia Montgomery, 95, of Columbia, Ky., died at 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia after a short illness.

Daughter of the late Al and Sarah Huddleston Coomer of Adair County, Ky., she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She was married to Chatman Montgomery, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1983.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Dorothy Vanarsdale of Columbia and Phyllis and Junior Reese of Russell Springs, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four children, J.C. Montgomery, Flossie Hatcher, Barbara Jean Hallums and Lizzie Montgomery; two brothers, Osco Coomer and Henry Coomer; four sisters, Mary Ann Sneed, Pearl Coomer, Carrie Coomer and Lily Mae Baker; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 7 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. The Rev. Steven Neel officiated. Burial was in Union cemetery in Gradyville, Ky.

Pallbearers were Danny Hatcher, Joey Hatcher, Mark Hatcher, Tim Montgomery, Todd Reese, Doug Vanarsdale, Joe Vanarsdale, Ronnie Vanarsdale and Tommy Vanarsdale.

Linwood Bridgewater, 79

Linwood Bridgewater, 79, of Lone Valley Road in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Son of the late Dee and Hylie Smith Bridgewater, he was a member of Bethel AME Church and a retired employee of the Taylor County Rural Electric Cooperative.

He was married to Opal Bridgewater, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ricky Groves of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Torrey Caldwell and Shayla Groves, both of Cincinnati; and one great-grandson, Brennan Caldwell of Cincinnati.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Bridgewater; four brothers, Roy Bridgewater, Frank Bridgewater, Elwood Bridgewater and Herbert Bridgewater; and one sister, Mary Caldwell.

Funeral was Saturday, Sept. 11 at First Baptist Church in Campbellsville. The Rev. Mac Pendleton officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Lee Allen Bridgewater, Gary Bridgewater, Hollis Bridgewater, Craig Bridgewater, Wilando Bridgewater and Stacy Groves.

Honorary pallbearers were Wallace Atkinson, George Williams, Leonard Price, Bloyd Edwards and Allan Robinson.

Lois Marie Garrett, 81

Lois Marie Garrett, 81, of Osage Avenue in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at her home after an illness.

Daughter of the late George Washington Gribbins and Anna Mary Gribbins of Taylor County, Ky., she was of the Baptist faith.

She was married to Bennie L. Garrett, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, David Garrett of Campbellsville, Stanley Garrett of Merrimac, Ky., and Junior Garrett of Indiana; seven daughters, Juanita Cox, Josephine Newton, Evelyn Cox and Connie Gribbins, all of Campbellsville, Barbara Tungate, Jeanette Clements and Betty Seals, all of Mannsville, Ky.; 32 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Handley Garrett; and one brother, Walter Gribbins.

Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville. Sister Anna Overstreet officiated. Burial was in Tallow Creek cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eugene Clements, Raymond Simpson, Roger Garrett, Rex Garrett, Michael Garrett and Billy Wagaman.

Nettie Page, 92

Nettie Page, 92, of Sharon Drive in Campbellsville, Ky., died at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Joe Karnes and Florence Johnson Karnes, she was born in Taylor County, Ky., on March 22, 1912. She was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She married Johnie Page on Feb. 12, 1931. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1989.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Brenda Page of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Naomi and Lyndon Benningfield of Campbellsville and Mayme Gilbert of Greenwood, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Layla Michelle Dillman; two sisters, Ada Hedgespeth of Campbellsville and Maudie Bowman of Greenwood, Ind.; and special caregivers, Fredia Thompson, Carolyn Spurling, Diane Neace and Theresa Gribbins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters; and one son-in-law, Billy Gilbert.

Funeral was Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Paul J. Dicken and Lawrence Brockman Jr. and Chaplain Tom Dillman officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Derek Benningfield, Roger Benningfield, Ryan Benningfield, Terry Benningfield, Greg Dillman, Garry Gilbert, Richie Page, Bill Rigdon, Aaron Slone and Andy Slone.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Central Kentucky or Spurlington United Methodist Church.

Bobbie A. Smith, 62

Bobbie A. Smith, 62, of Louisville, Ky., died on Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in Louisville.

Son of Albert Smith of Louisville and the late Mabel Smith, he was born in Marion County, Ky., on Aug. 1, 1942. He attended classes for Cerebral Palsy students at St. Peter's School.

Survivors also include one sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Gary Warner of Louisville; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry K. and Cathy Smith of Louisville; six nieces and nephews, Jackie, Terra, Jennifer, Terry Jr., A.C. and Cristi; and three great-nephews.

Funeral was Thursday, Sept. 9 at J.E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was on Friday, Sept. 10 at Brookside cemetery in Campbellsville.

Elmore Durrett Williams, 77

Elmore Durrett Williams, 77, of Green County, Ky., died on Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky.

Son of the late Henry and Lois Durrett Williams, he was born in Green County on Aug. 5, 1927. He was a member of Hodges Chapel Methodist Church.

He married Margaret Dean Dobson on Dec. 6, 1949. She survives.

Survivors also include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Williams and Gerald Gupton and Savona Williams and Richard Edwards, all of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Josh Rogers of Somerset, Ky., Kayla Williams Rogers, Blake Edwards and Cody Gupton, all of Greensburg; one brother, Dr. Bill Williams of Georgetown, Ky.; and two sisters, Ann Louise Foster and Mary Jean Eaton, both of Louisville, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Phillip Williams, Ivan Taylor Williams, Milton Williams and Henry Woodson Williams Jr.; and two sisters, Frances Price and Elizabeth Warner.

Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Bro. Dennis Parrigin officiated. Burial was in Green County Memory Garden in Summersville, Ky.

Pallbearers were H.W. Williams, Joe Foster, Dr. Virgil T. Price, Phillip Eaton, Milton E. Williams, Ross Williams, Dr. Leslie N. Richardson, Josh Rogers, Kayla Rogers, Blake Edwards and Cody Gupton.
