Marilyn Ann Vipond

Mrs. Marilyn Ann Vipond was born February 17, 1943 in California to the late Delbert Myrle Tucker and Inez Durbin Tucker. She departed this life Saturday, July 6, 2013 at her home in the Bramlett Community of Green County, having attained the age of seventy years, four months and nineteen days.

She is survived by one son and two daughters: Ron King, Rhonda Ware and Dorothy Barton, all of Greensburg, KY.

The family chose cremation. There will be no services. Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ray Franklin McKinney

Mr. Ray Franklin McKinney, age 82 formerly of Green County passed away Friday. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alton and Mary McKinney, siblings Robert, Roy and Rex McKinney, great granddaughter, MaKenzie Anderson and nephew Ralph McKinney, Jr. He left behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years Betty, Sons: Bobby and Evelyn McKinney and Benny McKinney, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister: Raymond McKinney, Ralph McKinney and Valley Wallace.

Funeral services for Mr. Ray Franklin McKinney will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m until the funeral hour Tuesday. For more information please call Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Ralph McKinney, Jr.

Ralph McKinney, Jr. was born July 30, 1960 in Jefferson County, KY to Ralph McKinney, Sr., and Marian Cunningham McKinney of Louisville. He departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Green County, Kentucky, having attained the age of fifty-two years, eleven months and three day.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He attended Carlisle Baptist Church and Greasy Creek Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he is survived by one daughter: April McKinney of Louisville, three sisters: Linda and Tommy Click, Theresa and Chris Nauert and Donna McCutchens, all of Louisville and his fiancee': Sue Suter of Campbellsville.

Rev. George Austin Price

Rev. George Austin Price was born January 23, 1921 in Marceline, Missouri to the late George Austin Price, Sr. and Ethel Mae Coy Price. He departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, having attained the age of ninety-two years, five months and ten days.

Rev. Price had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. He was a former pastor of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his precious wife Betty.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Sprngfield, Missouri, one son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Marlene Price of Greenville Indiana, two daughters: Susan Hunsaker of PeeWee Valley, KY, Becky and Don Brady of Sellersburg, Indiana, one brother: Bob Price of Branson, Missouri, one sister: Marilyn Hamm of Hot Springs, Arkansas, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Place and Time of Service: Summersville Baptist Church, 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013

Mavis Wright Scott

Mrs. Mavis Wright Scott was born August 10, 1926 in Hart County, Kentucky to the late Ira and Clara Puckett Wright. She departed this life Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, having attained the age of eight-six years, ten months and five days.

Mrs. Scott had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired school bus driver for the Green County School System. She was united is marriage May 27, 1944 to Edward L. Scott, who preceded her in death January 9, 2001. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Bernie "Buddy" Wright and Judelle Smith.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Everett and Kathy Scott of Cape Coral, Florida, two grandchildren: Sammy and Genia Scott of Summersville, KY and Michelle and Greg Curtis of Louisville, four great grandchildren: Madison and Chasity Scott of Summersville and Alexis and Kaleb Curtis of Louisville, one sister and brother-in-law: Edith "Pat" and Wayne Dobson of Elizabethtown, KY, her ex-daughter-in-law: Connie Gullett of Louisville, KY, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Rebecca Sue Squires Shelton

Rebecca Sue Squires Shelton was born June 3, 1943 in Green County, KY to the late Gleason and Sylvia Hancock Squires. She departed this life Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Springfield, KY, having attained the age of seventy years and six days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade Methodist Church. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Kenny Shelton, one son: Charles (Choppy) Jeffries and grandson: Dallas Patterson. Her two girls, grandchildren and a close friend were with her at the time of her passing.

She is survived by one son: Phillip H. Jeffries of Campbellsville and two daughters and one son-in-law: Tammie Sue and Russell Bugg of Springfield and Melinda Jeffries and her companion Finis Milby of Greensburg. She is also survived by one brother: Billy Squires of Lawrenceburg, KY, one nephew: Billy Mike Squires of Greensburg, twelve grandchildren, four step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.

Edna Mae Williams Mitchell

Mrs. Edna Mae Williams Mitchell was born October 31, 1917 in Green County, KY to the late Amos and Bertha Barnett Mitchell. She departed this life Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Norton's Hospuras In-Patient Care Center, Louisville, KY, having attained the age of ninety-five years, seven months and seven days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Robert Mitchell, one son and one daughter: William L. Mitchell and Ella Allen.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Dean and Joe Bridgewater of Green County, one brother: Amos Gerald Williams of Green County and one sister: Hazel Bailey of Louisville, her sister-in-law: Doris Mitchell of Greensburg, ten grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Andrew Anderson, Sr.

Andrew Anderson, Sr., age 70 of Louisville, a Green County Native passed away Saturday in Louisville. He was the son of the late Dessie and Gladys Anderson. He is survived by four children: Leslie, Teresa, Robert and Andrew Anderson, Jr. all of Louisville, two brothers and three sisters: Fred and Gregory Anderson, Joyce Ann Jackson, Evelyn and Edith Anderson, all of Louisville.

Funeral services for Andrew Anderson, Sr. will be 11 a.m. Eastern Time Wednesday at the G.C. Williams Funeral Home, 1935 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Eastern Time Tuesday at the G.C. Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Anderson cemetery in Green County. Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.

William Bill "Little Richard" Milby

William Bill "Little Richard" Milby, age 75, formally of Summersville passed away Monday evening, May 13, 2013 in Missouri. He is survived by four daughters: Cathy Hanson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mary Smith of West Virginia, Judy and Lisa Milby of Illinois, nieces and nephews: Winfred and Glenda Simpson, Charlie and Elaine Simpson, Willow Dean and Butch Jewell, Elaine Bishop, Mitzi and Randal Heath, all of Greensburg, Shirley Blackwood of Missouri, Bill and Wanda Moran of Campbellsville, Dennis and Kathy Moran of Illinois, Donna and Dave Waltz, Mary Greenwalt and William and Linda Shaffer of Pennsylvania and a special caregiver, Scotty.

A memorial service for William Bill "Little Richard" Milby will be 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4 at the Wilson cemetery in the Gabe Community of Green County. The family would appreciate donations be made to Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home for burial expenses.

William "Bill" Eugene Clark

William "Bill" Eugene Clark was born January 14, 1930 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Rollin B. Clark and Alta Leftwich Clark. He departed this life Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Norton Hosparus In-Patient Care Center in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of eighty-three years, three months and twenty-three days.

Mr. Clark had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was founder and owner of Clark Casual Furniture in Greensburg with a satellite plant near Tampa, Florida.

He was united in marriage March 12, 1952 to Helen Mitchell Moore Clark, who survives. He is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law: Amanda Clark of Portland, Oregon, Amy Clark (Patrick White) of Birmingham, Michigan, Ann Clark of Louisville, KY, Abbe Clark Volz (Alex) of Santa Monica, California, five grandchildren: Matthew Mitchell Clark Matteri, Christopher William Clark Matteri, Elizabeth Noel Clark Matteri, Charles Michael Clark White and Christian Andrew Clark White, two granddogs: Ginger and Griffin Clark, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Place and time of service: Greensburg Presbyterian Church - 1 p.m. Central Time, Saturday, May 11, 1013

Gertrude Marcum Vance

Gertrude Marcum Vance, age 96 of Nicholasville, KY, formerly from Summersville, KY was born in Green County September 9, 1916, daughter of the late Walter and Kate Marcum. She died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center, St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY after a long illness.

She was united in marriage October 11, 1940 to Creswell Vance, who preceded her in death November 8, 1983.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Vance Thompson and son-in-law, Art Thompson of Nicholasville, KY, special friends, Lohmann and Leslie Sidebottom of Nicholasville, KY and Lisa Lemire of Lexington, KY, also caregivers and friends throughout the past 4 years, JoAnn Goss, Georgia Mae Locker and Barbara Estepp, and a beloved granddog, Baylee. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mayme Milby and Nancy Dyer and two special granddogs, Boomer and Bandee.

She was a teacher in Green County, KY, retiring in 1981 after 40 years of teaching. She was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124 Ladies Auxiliary, Greensburg, KY, the Jessamine County Retired Teachers Association and was a Kentucky Colonel.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Green County and attended Central Baptist Church, Lexington, KY for many years.

Edward "Bus" Anthony Haney

Mr. Edward "Bus" Anthony Haney, a former Green County Resident, was born September 17, 1923 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, one of six children, to the late William Edward Haney and Francena Carl Haney. After a short battle with cancer, he departed this life Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his home in Hardyville, KY, having attained the age of eighty-nine years, seven months and ten days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Methodist Church. He served during World War II as a Corporal under General Patton at the Battle Of The Bulge in the Medical Corp and was honorably discharged on Christmas Day, 1945, after time served. He was then employed by National Tube in McKeesport, where he worked from 1946 until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the American Legion Rob Lowe Post 124, Greensburg, KY. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters: Rita, Bernadine and Ethel and one brother: Robert.

He is survived by his wife Alice Caye Haney, three daughters: Kathy Haney Wheeler of Hardyville, Rene' Forbes of Greensburg and Cheryl Kretzler of Campbellsville and one son: Roy Nock of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by one sister: Elizabeth Ross of Maryland and nine grandchildren: Christina, Jennifer, Joshua, Matthew, David, Andrew, Jeffrey, Jessica and Brian, one great granddaughter, Emily, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended families.
