Reta Joyce Keltner Pruitt, 59, of Greensburg, Ky., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg.

She was the daughter of the late Calvin Coolidge Keltner and Betty Rose Rodgers Gillock.

Funeral was Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial in Tarter's Chapel cemetery in Adair County. Bro. Dale Curry officiated.

Bernice J. Simpson, 88

Bernice J. Simpson, 88, of Elizabethtown, Ky., formerly of Green County, Ky., died Thursday, Nov. 4 at Kensington Manor Care & Rehab Center.

Funeral was Saturday, Nov. 6 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Greensburg cemetery.

Jerry Bohanon, 32

Jerry Bohanon, 32, of Campbellsville died at 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, in Campbellsville.

Son of Satie Marie Pittman Bohanon of Campbellsville and the late Garlan Raymond Bohanon, he was born on Dec. 26, 1977, in Taylor County. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

In addition to his mother, survivors also include a brother, Raymond Bohanon of Campbellsville; a nephew, Sterling Bohanon of Liberty, Ky.; and many other relatives and friends.

David Rafferty, 63

David Rafferty, 63, of Campbellsville died at 1:29 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Louisville.

Son of Clara Lee Allen Raffety of Campbellsville and the late Murrell "Pete" Raffety, he was born on Aug. 29, 1947, in Marion County, Ky.

He was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country in the United States Army.

He was a retired employee of Parker Kalon Co.

Peggy Ann Partridge, 47

Peggy Ann Partridge, 47, of Ottawa, Ill., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

She was the daughter of the late Randall and Patricia Miskell Wright.

She was married to Terry Partridge of Marseilles, Ill., who survives.

Survivors also include five children, Kaiti Partridge, Eric Clements and Kristy Clements, all of Ottawa, Jamie Partridge of Grandy, N.C., and Danielle Partridge of Cornell, Ill.

Funeral was at Sunday, Nov. 7 at the Marseilles Lion's Club. The Rev. Duane Kaufman officiated.

Tommy Dowell, 79

Tommy Dowell, 79, of Campbellsville died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late H.E. Dowell and Emma Speer Dowell, he was born on July 8, 1931, in Taylor County.

He was a member of Kelleyville Community Church and a graduate of the Campbellsville High School Class of 1949.

Dowell served in the Campbellsville 623rd Field Artillery Battalion of the Kentucky National Guard at Fort Bragg, N.C., and Korea in 1951 and 1952. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country in the United States Army.

Russell E. Morrison Jr., 70

Russell E. Morrison Jr., 70, of Tampa, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, Fla.

He was the son of Alva Mae Milby Morrison of Greensburg and the late Russell Elmer Morrison.

A graveside service was Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Greensburg cemetery. Bro. Kenny Dotson officiated.

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.

Alma Philpott, 90

Alma Philpott, 90, of Campbellsville died at 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Griffin B. Chewning and Cecil Ellen Todd Chewning, she was born on Aug. 13, 1920, in Adair County, Ky. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church and was a former employee of Hobbs Five and Ten Cent Store.

Arvin Edward Whitlow, 93

Arvin Edward Whitlow, 93, of the Holly Grove Community in Green County, Ky., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010.

He was the son of the late Lynn Whitlow and Emmit Johnson Whitlow.

A Masonic service was conducted by the William B. Allen Lodge #704 Thursday, Nov. 4 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, Ky.

Funeral was Friday, Nov. 5 at Holly Grove Baptist Church with burial in the Holly Grove cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiated.

Kemel Work, 88

Kemel Work, 88, of Campbellsville died at 1:13 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Edd Smith and Celia Smith, she was born on May 22, 1922, in Cumberland County, Ky. She was a member of Sunny Hill Drive Church of Christ and was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for many years.

She was married to James Work on Sept. 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2006.

Charles Davis, 72

Charles Davis, 72, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Grandview Nursing Home.

He was the son of the late Charlie Murphy Davis and Mary Harlean Edwards of Taylor County.

Survivors include two daughters, Paula Jean Price of Indianapolis, Ind., and Michelle Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral was Saturday, March 3, at Pleasant Union Baptist Church. Burial was in Pleasant Union cemetery.

Delbert Thompson, 77

Delbert Thompson, 77, of Campbellsville, died at 9:55 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Jeff Thompson and Ona Martin Thompson, he was born in Taylor County on July 13, 1934. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville, served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was married to Pat Goodin on March 11, 1961. She survives.

Randal Cox, 70

Randal Cox, 70, of Campbellsville, died at 10:24 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Vernon Ray Cox and Alice Gribbins Cox, he was born in Marion County, Ky., on Jan. 31, 1942. He was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church, was retired from Blevins Construction Co. after 21 years of service and the completion of the Woodlawn Christian Church Life Center.

He was married to Jeanie Wheeler on Jan. 1, 1986. She survives.

Edward Alvin Pierce, 89

Edward Alvin Pierce, 89, of Greensburg, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Golden Living Center-Green Hill.

Survivors include a daughter, Ada Mae Handy of Greensburg.

Funeral was Saturday, Feb. 25, at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Greensburg cemetery. Bros. Mark Graham and Keith Clements officiated.

Sheila Jolene Blevins, 67

Sheila Jolene Blevins, 67, of Hardyville, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at her home in Hardyville.

She was married to Dean Blevins, who survives.

Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Sulphur Well United Methodist Church. Bro. Pat Smith officiated. Burial was in Hedgespeth cemetery.

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, Ky. was in charge of arrangements.

Mitchelene 'Mitch' Kelly Lanham, 69

Mitchelene “Mitch” Kelly Lanham, 69, of Louisville, Ky., and Palmetto, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 26, at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville.

She was married to Peter B. Lanham, who survives.

Funeral was Saturday, March 3, at Greensburg Presbyterian Church. Bro. Charlie Taylor officiated. Burial service was private.

Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.

Valerie Ovena White, 79

Valerie Ovena White, 79, of Greensburg, Ky., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Ky.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Green of Summersville, Ky.; three sons, Tim Lowe of Florida, David Lowe of Georgia, and Danny Lowe of North Carolina.

Funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Bennett cemetery. Bros. Freddie Norris and Kevin Brantley officiated.

Danny G. Paxton, 61

Danny G. Paxton, 61, of Greensburg, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital.

He was the son of Russell Paxton of Greensburg and the late Marie Estelle McKinney Paxton. Funeral was Friday, Feb. 24, at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery.

Bro. Curtis Slinker officiated.

Clementine Smith Amos, 76

Clementine Smith Amos, 76, of Green County, Ky., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Josie Edwards Smith.

She was married to Roy Thomas Amos, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce White of Campbellsville, Tommy Amos of Greensburg, Ky., and Clifton Amos of Clearwater, Fla.; and a daughter, Suzanne Gyger of Bowling Green, Ky.

J.D. White, 78

J.D. White, 78, of Elk Horn, Ky., died at 9:53 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in Louisville, Ky.

He was the son of the late Wilbur White and Lillian Greer White.

He was married to Marie Phillips on Dec. 19, 1951. She survives.

Survivors also include a daughter and four sons, Mary Frances Fudge of Lexington, Ky.; Robert Lee White of Kannapolis, N.C.; William Dean White of Columbia, Ky.; Roy Curtis White of Campbellsville and Roger Lee White of Burgin, Ky.
