Chris Lefever, 40, of Campbellsville, died at 8:25 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in Campbellsville.

Son of Thomas Lefever and Noreen Casem Lefever of E. Petersburg, Penn., he was born April 6, 1971, in Lancaster County, Penn.

He was a member of Sunny Hill Church of Christ and was employed as an electrical technician at Amazon.com in Campbellsville.

He was married to Jennifer Hunt on June 14, 1997. She survives.

Mary “Lucille” Cox Poynter, 81

Mary “Lucille” Cox Poynter, 81, of Whiteland, Ind., died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital and Health in Indianapolis, Ind.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Pearl Cox.

She was married to James “Don” Poynter in July 1957. He survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Donna Gayle Hyatt of Franklin, Ind.; Cathy Denise Rodenhuis of Needham, Ind., and Lisa Diane Drake of Greenwood, Ind.

Pansy Mae Willis, 90

Pansy Mae Willis, 90, of Bell Avenue in Campbellsville, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Dee and Annie Vaughn Franklin.

She was married to Reed Willis, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son and a daughter, Kenny Willis and Lois Dulworth, both of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Saturday, Jan. 28, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Green River Memorial Baptist Church cemetery. The Revs. Landon Hadley and Jamie Bennett officiated.

Samuel Edward “Little Sam” Thompson II, 34

Samuel Edward “Little Sam” Thompson II, 34, of Glasgow, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

He was the son of Samuel Edward and Louise Turner Thompson of Greensburg, Ky.

He was married to Angela Turner Thompson, who survives.

Survivors also include two children, Hunter Thompson and Caraline Thompson, both of Glasgow.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 28, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Glasgow with cremation following.

Allene Cundiff, 88

Allene Cundiff, 88, of Mt. Sterling, Ky., formerly of Campbellsville, died at 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, in Mt. Sterling.

Daughter of the late Ira Chelf and Bette Knifley Chelf, she was born on April 25, 1923, in Adair County, Ky. She was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

Emma Alice Brown Lee, 51

Emma Alice Brown Lee, 51, of Danville, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.

Daughter of the late James Richard and Myrtie Taylor Brown, she was born on Dec. 21, 1960. She loved her family, bingo and dirt racing.

She was married to Sammy Lee, who survives.

Phillip Sullivan, 63

Phillip Sullivan, 63, of Campbellsville, died at 1 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, in Campbellsville.

Son of Louise Loy Sullivan of Campbellsville and the late George Sullivan, he was born on Sept. 13, 1948, in Russell County, Ky. He attended Campbellsville Baptist Temple and was a retired construction worker. Phillip loved horses and was an avid coin collector. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Estelle Marie Woodrum, 62

Estelle Marie Woodrum, 62, of Spurling Road in Elk Horn, Ky., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at her home after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Harlie Atwood and Arlie Mings Atwood of Taylor County, and a member of Bowan Street Separate Baptist Church.

She was married to Ronald Woodrum, who survives.

James Vontress Noe, 83

James Vontress Noe, 83, of Louisville, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at his home.

He was the son of the late James Arthur and Fannie Milby Noe.

He was married to Margie Marie Gowen Noe, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Noe of Louisville. Funeral was Saturday, Jan. 28, at Bethlehem cemetery in Green County, Ky.

The Rev. Jerry Noe officiated.

Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery with military honors.

Raymond Henry Thompson Jr., 68

Raymond Henry Thompson Jr., 68, of Campbellsville, formerly of Greensburg, Ky., died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at his home.

Son of the late Raymond H. Thompson Sr. and Myrtle Arlene Doty Thompson, he was born on May 2, 1943, in Syracuse, N.Y.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and had worked for many years as a truck driver.

Thompson was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy, where he served on the USS Salamonie ship. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Crandel, Ind.

James Alan "Jamie" Beck, 52

James Alan "Jamie" Beck, 52, of Campbellsville, died at 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Louisville, Ky.

Son of Rosaline Barnett Beck and the late Jack Gordon Beck Sr., he was born in Taylor County, Ky., on June 17, 1959.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Acton Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school director. Beck was a former associate at Walmart in Campbellsville.

Lisa Gale Yates, 49

Lisa Gale Yates, 49, of Raywick, Ky., died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at U of L Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was the daughter of Larry and Delores Wilson Violette of Lebanon, who survive.

She was married to Frank Yates. He survives.

Survivors also include three daughters, Terra Gillispie of Georgetown, Ky., and Megan and Angel Yates, both of Campbellsville; and two sons, Joel Yates of Raywick and Shane Yates of Holy Cross, Ky.

Walter Henry 'Hank' Mattingly, 48

Walter Henry “Hank” Mattingly, 48, of Loretto, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, in Loretto.

He was the son of the late Herbert Lee Mattingly and Anna Lucille Jacobs Bowman. Funeral was Saturday, March 21, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto.

Burial was in Saint Francis of Assisi cemetery in Saint Francis. Mike Fenwick officiated.

Ollin Reed Scott, 70

Ollin Reed Scott, 70, of Greensburg, Ky., died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at his home in Greensburg.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Caven of Summersville, Ky., and Jackie Beams of Greensburg; and three sons, Freddie Beams and Coy Scott, both of Summersville, and Johnny Scott of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Thursday, April 19, at Bloyd-Perkins cemetery in Green County, Ky. Bros. Leslie Jewell, Dannie Nelson and Jonathan Willis officiated. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Faye Lohden, 57

Sharon Faye Lohden, 57, of Leitchfield, Ky., died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky.

Daughter of the late George and Manova Atnip Lohden, she was born on July 23, 1954, in Barren County, Ky. She was a teacher at Clarkson Elementary School for 30 years and received a bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville College and a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University. She was a member of Clarkson Baptist Church.

Charles 'Chuck' Spurling, 80

Charles “Chuck” Spurling, 80, of Campbellsville, died at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012, in Campbellsville.

He was the son of the late Willie Matt Spurling and Freeda Ramsey Spurling.

He was married to Joyce Latimer on July 8, 1960. She preceded him in death on Feb. 12, 2012.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherri Brewer of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Wednesday, April 18, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Brookside cemetery with full military honors by Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Edith Marple, 88

Edith Marple, 88, of Lowell Avenue in Campbellsville, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Medco Nursing Home after an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Lawson and Florence Burge Lawson.

She was married to Jesse “Red” Marple, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Bill Marple of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and a daughter, Wanda Milby of Campbellsville.

Graveside service was Saturday, April 14, at Brookside cemetery. Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville was in charge of arrangements.

Toncie Lee Callahan, 94

Toncie Lee Callahan, 94, of Campbellsville, died Friday, April 13, 2012, in Corydon, Ind., after a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late Edmond Callahan and Mahaley Jane Robison Callahan.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Lewis Ford and Eric Wade Ford, both of Campbellsville; and two daughters, Shirley Ann James of Corydon and Lana Sue Ford of Campbellsville.

Funeral was Monday, April 16, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Callahan cemetery.

Ray Eugene Clements, 58

Ray Eugene Clements, 58, of Spurlington Road in Mannsville died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at Taylor Regional Hospital.

He was the son of the late Basil and Christine Clements.

He was married to Jeanette Garrett Clements, who survives.
