Mary Lou Walters Hardy, 74 of Smiths Grove died 10:03 p.m., November
19, 2003 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Washington, PA native was a funeral director and owner and operator
of Hardy & Son Funeral Home. She was the daughter of of the late
Thomas Elmer Walters and Ruth Ahrns Walters. She was a member of
Jackson Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral is at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green
Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m.
Friday and 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband Bill Hardy, Sr.; a daughter, Brenda Kirtley
and her husband Paul-Marietta, GA; a son, Bill Hardy, Jr and his wife Kathy
Smiths Grove; Four grandchildren, Holly Kirtley, Mallory Kirtley, Mary
Paige Kirtley all of Mareitta, GA and William Hardy III of Smiths Grove
and a sister, Jean Peterson Simpson-Glasgow

JILL DIXON PRATHER
Jill Dixon Prather, 74 of Rocky Hill died at 5:05 p.m. Oct. 2, 2007 at
The Medical Center.
The Birmingham, England, native was a homemaker, a farmer and a member
of Rocky Hill Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Joseph Dixon
and Georgina White Dixon. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law
Beverly Anne Prather.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green
chapel, with burial in Rocky Hill cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m
today and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Prather Jr; two daughters, Lynda
Prather of Rocky Hill and Barbara Johnson and her husband Orville “Button
of Rocky Hill; a son, David Prather of Rocky Hill; a sister, Jospehine Davis of
England; a brother, Bruce Dixon and his wife, Betty of England; seven
grandchildren, John Meredith and his wife, Kim, of Leitchfield, Diana Waldrop
of Bowling Green, Mandy Jones and her husband, Tony, D. Chris Prather
and his wife, Shauna, and Crystal Prather all of Rocky Hill, and Greg Johnson
and his wife, Arika, and Amy Johnson, all of Lincoln; 12 great grandchildren
and several nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

DAVID WESLEY THOMPSON
David Wesley Thompson, 44 of Butte County, California formerly of
Smiths Grove, died Tuesday, September 22, 2009 in California.
The Warren County native was in the Transportation Deparment. He was
the son of the late Odell Howard Thompson he was preceded in death by a
brother Dennis “Jake” Thompson.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral
Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove cemetery.
Visitation is 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesday
at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother: Anna Mae Thompson of Smiths Grove; his
long time companion; Bobbie Duff of California; a daughter; Melanie
Bennett of Bowling Green; a grandson, Shayne Myers of Bowling Green;
four sisters, Audrey Thomspon of Smiths Grove; Sue Keen and her husband
Mike of Bowling Green; Joyce Gupton and her husband Steve of Cottontown,
TN; Diane Cox and her husband John of Bowling Green; three brothers;
Howard Thompson of Smiths Grove; Gary Thompson of Cave City; Ricky
Thompson and his wife Debbie of Bowling Green; Several nieces and nephews

ENNIS LEE JENT
Ennis Lee Jent, 73 of Bowling Green died Friday Oct 21, 2011 at his residence.
The Allen County native was a mechanic and a member of Beech Grove
Bapitst Church and attended Madison Avenue Bapitst Church. He was an
Army veteran. The son of the late Willie Jent and Hazel Landers Jent and
preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Jent.
Funeral service Monday 1:30 p.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling
Green Chapel with burial in Fairview cemetery #2. Visitation 11:00 a.m.-
8:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to American Cancer
Society—952 Fairview Ave Suite 4, Bowling Green, Ky 42101
Survivors include his wife, Janet Miller Jent; a step daughter, Sandra Moran,
two step sons, Larry Moran (Donna) and Wesley Moran; a sister, Patty Perry
and brother, Ronnie Jent (Shirley); four step grandchildren; five step great
grandchildren; five aunts, several nieces and nephews.

TAMMY MARR RUSHING
Tammy Marr Rushing, 48 of Hernando, MS formerly of Smiths Grove died
Sat. Oct. 22, 2011 in MS.
The Warren County native was a real estate agent for Austin Realty and a
member of Fellowship Bapitst Church in Hernando. She was preceded in
death by her father, Jerry Neal Marr
Funeral services will be held in Hernando, MS 11:00 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 25.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at
Smiths Grove cemetery under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home,
Smiths Grove Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Rusty Rushing of Hernando; son, Jerin
Harrison and daughter, Danyel Saiz and husband Joaquinn both of Hernando;
her mother, Eva Marr of Oakland; two borthers, Danny Marr and Jeannie Butler
of Bowling Green and Mark Marr and wife Betsy of Smiths Grove; three
grandchildren, Noey Saiz, Noah Saiz and Noxx Saiz. Several uncles, aunts,
nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many beloved friends

WILLIAM A. “JACK” STILES
William A. “Jack” Stiles, 60 of Smiths Grove died at 1:44 p.m., Sunday,
October 30, 2011 at the Medical Center.
The Key West, FL. Native was a maintenance electrician at Desa, a member
of Hillvue Heights Baptist Church and former steward and secretary of sheet
metal workers union. He was a son of the late Charles O. Stiles and Helen Agnes
Sullivan Stiles. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Stiles Wigginton.
Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at Hardy & Son Funeral
Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove cemetery. Visitation
4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah M. Stiles; a son, Jason William Stiles and
his wife Wendy; two grandchildren, Max Nathaniel Stiles and Benjamin Isaac
Stiles; two brothers, Chuck Stiles and his wife Karen and Robert “Rob” Stiles
and wife Alice; three sisters, Lila Stiles Kaelin, Susan Stiles Losson, Veronica
Stiles Williams and husband Rick; a brother in law, James A. Wigginton and
several nieces and nephews.

DAVID ARTHUR ANGLE
David Arthur Angle, 84, of Bowling Green died at 7:45 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at
his residence.
He was born on July 12, 1927 in White Bluffs, Washington where the A-bomb was made.
David moved to Woodburn, KY at the age of two. His father was a rural carrier who
wanted to be near a college, so he traded routes and homes sight unseen with a carrier
who wanted to go west. By June 1935 all four daughters had graduated from Western
State Teachers College. After high school David was a World War II Army veteran and
retired as a rural mail carrier after 30 years. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist
Church. He was the son of the late William S. Angle and Kathrena Jostes Angle. He was
preceded in death by his sisters, Alice A. Angle, Sadie A. McCombs, Elizabeth A.
Larmon, and Rena Belle A. Thomas and brothers, William Lewis Angle and Joseph J.
Angle.
Memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling
Green Chapel. Visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

CLARA OWENS WHEELER
Clara Owens Wheeler, 93, of Bowling Green died at 3:15 a.m., Wed.,
Nov. 9, 2011 at a local nursing home.
The Warren County native was a homemaker and farmer and a member
of Burton Memorial Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late
Albert Owens and Annie Johnson Owens and the wife of the late Aubrey
Wheeler.
Funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home,
Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview cemetery #2. Visitation
from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday and 9:00-1:00 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.
Survivos include at step grandson, James B. Wheeler and his wife, Linda
of Bowling Green and several nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and
great great grandchildren.

MARY RUTH GRINSTEAD LAWRENCE
Mary Ruth "Granny" Grinstead Lawrence, 93 of Smiths Grove died Thursday, Nov. 10,
2011 at Rosewood Health Care. The Barren County native was a homemaker and
member of Lawrence Chapel Baptist Church. She was daughter of the late Raleigh M.
Grinstead and Pernie Caplinger Grinstead and wife of the late Daniel Lee Lawrence.
preceded in death by three brothers, William H. "Bill" Grinstead, Randall Grinstead,
Ernest Grinstead.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 13 at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths
Grove Chapel with burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m
Saturday, at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughter, Brenda Carolyn Croslin (Tommy); two sons, Manuel Doris
Lawrence (Joyce) and Billy Ray Lawrence (Brenda); 12 grandchildren; 27 great
grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Ground; and sister-inlaw,
Odell Grinstead; several nieces and nephews.

RITA KAY REYNOLDS
Rita Kay Reynolds, 49, of Smiths Grove died at 8:45 p.m., Thursday, November
10, 2011 at her residence. The Bowling Green native was a homemaker and a
member of Oakland Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth
Anderson and Charlene Constant Norris of Smiths Grove, who survives. She was
preceded in death by a sister, Cindy McPeak and her step father, Lanny Norris.
Funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at Hardy & Son Funeral
Home, Bowling Green chapel with burial in Smiths Grove cemetery. Visitation
from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, and 9:00-1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, James Reynolds, son, Matthew Reynolds, step
son, James Reynolds, Jr., step grandchildren, Gabe Reynolds and Isaiah Stice
Reynolds, brothers, Mike Anderson and Tim Anderson, several nieces, nephews,
cousins, aunts, and uncles.
