PAULINE BRATCHER
Pauline Bratcher, 85, of Bowling Green died at 4:10 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11,
2011 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Warren County native
was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ. She was
the daughter of the late Oscar Thomas Gross and Eliza Silous Wingfield
Gross. She was preceded in death by her sons, Randell Eugene, David Earl
and Mark Wayne Bratcher and brothers and sister.
Funeral service at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home,
Bowling Green Chapel. Visitation from 11:00-4:00 p.m., Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton Earl Bratcher, three daughters, Julia
Diane Richmond (Jimmy), Linda Sue Fowler (James), and Tracy Lynn
Cowles (Mark); two sons, Barry Rodney Bratcher (Virginia) and Bruce Allen
Bratcher; sixteen grandchildren, Carlos, Daniel, and Bob Richmond, Wendy
Renea and Brad McPeak, Chelsie Renea Cowles, Rodney, John Wayne,
Pauline (Gary), Bryan and Ashley Christine Bratcher, Sherry Fowler, Cindy
O'Saile, Timmy, Beth, and Sam Basham; thirteen great grandchildren;
one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

RONALD EUGENE “RONNIE” COWLES
Ronald Eugene “Ronnie” Cowles, 52 of Bowling Green died in a Louisville
hospital Saturday, November 19, 2011.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Earl Eugene Cowles and
Jessie Dee Kelsey Jordan. He was a truck driver, a friend of Bill W's, a
member of Glendale Baptist church and attended Hillvue Heights Baptist
Church.
Funeral service 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Hardy &
Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial at Boiling Springs
cemetery. Visitation 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include brothers and sister; Darrell Cowles (Stella); Sharon Mills
(Lewis); Dennis Jordan (Mary); nieces and nephews, Chrissy, Gail and Ricky
Cowles; Stephanie Long; Nick, Michael, Patrick and Ethan Jordan; several
great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

RICHARD WINSETT
RICHARD WINSETT, 59 of Bowling Green died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at the
Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Fayetteville TN native was a son of the
late Roy Leon Winsett and Alma Christine Warren who survives and is preceded
in death by a sister, Kathy Winsett and he was an Army veteran
Survivors include his mother: Christine Winsett; wife, Marilyn Sargent Winsett;
son, Scott Winsett (Darlene); daughter, Nicole Stringfield (Jared); brother, Howard
Winsett (Lisa); sister, Donna Jo Cooper (Bud); grandchildren, Preston & Piper Winsett;
Harley & Bailey Stringfield; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at a later date arrangements under the direction of
Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel

Donna Jean Chaffins Butler
Donna Jean Chaffins Butler, 53 of Bowling Green died Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her
residence.
The Liverpool, England native was a daughter of the late Norman W. Chaffins and
Marion J. Broad Chaffins who survives. She was a district manager of the Dollar Tree
and Romans Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband David Butler; a son, Curtis Butler(Alicia); a daughter,
Teia Butler; three grandchildren, Seth Butler, Haley Butler, Keegan Butler; three
brothers, Michael Chaffins, Derek Chaffins, Norman Chaffins (Lauren); several nieces
and nephews.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green
Chapel with burial in Fairview cemetery #2. Visitation 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.

RACHEL DIANE COSBY
Rachel Diane Cosby, 19 of Bowling Green died Monday, June 22, 2010
due to an accident where she was hit by a vehicle in 2003.
The Warren County native was a student, she loved animals, was a very
giving person, she loved her friends and was a fun loving young lady.
She also enjoyed playing basketball
She was preceded in in death by a mathernal grandfather, William M.
Owens and a paternal grandfather, Carlos Cosby and a great nephew
Triston Morrison.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon Friday, at Hardy & Son Funeral
Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Fairview cemetery. Visitation
will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m.-12:00 Friday at the
funeral home.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Sue Owens Caudill of Bowling Green
her father, Don Cosby of Mayfield, Ky; two sisters, Jackie Meredith
and her husband Michael and Sara Cosby all of Bowling Green; three
brothers, Chris Simmons and his wife Kathy of Lebanon, KY; Jason
Simmons and his wife Tina and Joe Green and his wife Rhonda all of
Bowling Green; a maternal grandmother, Nellie Ruth Owens of Bowling
Green and paternal grandmother, Nancy Cosby of Mayfield; one aunt,
Diane Eckles and her husband Garland of Bowling Green and one uncle,
Howard Owens of Bowling Green; Several nieces and nephews

Joyce Geron Slade, 62 of Smiths Grove died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at the Hospice House
of Southern KY
The Warren County native was a daughter of the late Ed Geron and Eva Walker Emmitt
who survives. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Slade and a
brother, Eddie Geron. She was a seamstress at Mickie's Alterations and a member of
Plano Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her mother Eva Emmitt (Earl); two sons, Chris Meredith (Kelly)
and Donald Meredith (Brandy); three grandchildren, Darby Meredith, Katie Meredith,
Connor Stith; her finance Wallace "Junior" Smith.; one brother, James "Shorty" Geron;
three sisters, Kathy Hughes (Jody), Sandra Gillenwater (Perry) and Margie Ford; several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel
with burial in Old Zion Methodist Church cemetery. Visitation 10a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home.

H.G. Spinks, 72 of Bowling Green died Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at the Medical Center.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Jessie M. and Willie Mae Martin Spinks
and is preceded in death by a son Mike Spinks. He was owner of S&S Landscaping
Service and a member of Friendship Bapitst Church.
His survivors include his wife, Kathy Vincent Spinks; a daughter, Angela Ryne, a son,
Derek Spinks; six grandchildren, Brandon Spinks, Zachary Ryne, Christian Ryne,
Gabrielle Embry, Matthew Swafford, Stephanie Spinks; three sisters, Patricia Brewer
(Kenny), Jeanette Driver, Shirley Stiles; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday 4-6 p.m. with funeral service at 6 p.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral
HOme, Bowling Green Chapel with burial on Thursday at 10a.m. in Smiths Grove
cemetery.

H. C. Thompson, 81 of Bowling Green passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the
Medical Center with family at his side.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Henry C and Mandy Young Thompson
and is preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Kay Hayes and a brother, Rollie
Thompson. He was a farmer and maintenance supervisor for KY. Transportation Cabinet.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
His survivors include his wife of 61 years Gustava Thompson; a daughter, Debbie Potter
(Terry); son-in-law, Ricky Hayes; three grandchildren, Andrea Anderson (Kent), Ellen
Hayes, Chase Hays (Ashley); two great grandchildren, Sam and Norah Anderson and one
nephew, Jimmy Thompson (Rose)
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green
Chapel with burial in Bethel cemetery. Visitation 2:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00-11:00
a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dennis E. Kepple, 59 of Smiths Grove passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at the
Medical Center.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Robert Kepple and Lillian Houchins
Hudgens. He was owner of Kepple Contracting, a member of Otter Gap Baptist Church
and after his disability he watched Shepherd’s Chapel.
His survivors include his wife Debbie Stockton Kepple, his son, Alan Kepple (Courtney),
two granddaughters, Ava and Sloane Kepple; his honorary daughter, Carol Zuccarell
(Ryan) honorary granddaughter, Gracie Zuccarell; one sister, Debbie Furlong; nephew,
Drew Guffey (Stephanie), special niece; Adysen Lee; special sister-in-law, Carol Riddle
(Oscar), a special uncle who was a father figure to him, Coy Houchins (Brenda); three
aunts, Alta Dunn, Lois Dunn and Gail Pinet; several close cousins and friends and his
beloved birddog, Kaci.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green
Chapel with burial in Otter Gap cemetery. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral
home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Disabled Veterans or St
Jude’s Hospital

Mattie Louise Shipley, 85, of Bowling Green passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at
the Medical Center.
The Warren County native was the daughter of the late Sterling and Christine Wooten
Gill and was preceded in death by her spouses Jess Brooks and Earl Shipley. Louise
owned several restaurants in Bowling Green including The Octagon Inn and the By Pass
Drive Inn. She was also owner of Ms. Marci's Dress Shop and Boutique.
She was a selfless, loving mother survived by her daughter, Marsha Brooks Hammons
(John) and two sons, Jerry Brooks (Sheilia) and Jeff Brooks (Lori). She was also the
proud “Granny” to six grandchildren: Eric Hammons (Stephanie), Marcie Dexter (Eric),
Johna Walden (Jeff), Wesley Brooks (Leah), Seth Brooks and Mattie Jo Brooks, and four
great grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling
Green Chapel with burial in the Smiths Grove cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m.
Monday and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
