Mrs. Margie Ann Payne Anderson, age 80 of Franklin, died Monday, July 4th, 2011, at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday at 1pm at the Elevated Baptist Church with burial to follow in Shady Rest cemetery. A native of Simpson County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Payne and Mary Hall Partinger. Mrs. Anderson was a retired employee of the Lenk/Drackett Company and a member of the Elevated Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister - Mary West. Survivors include 4 children - Danny Payne of Franklin, Dennis Payne and Teresa Oldham both of California and Johnna Fuller of Virginia; 1 sister - Essie Smith of Louisville; 1 brother - Douglas Partinger of Franklin; 9 grandchidren - Anthony McKinney, Ameka Jones, Charles Oldham, Jr., Kourtney Oldham, Sydney Oldham, Carlo Anderson, Ashia Fuller, Malik Fuller and Mekhi Fuller; 8 great grandchildren. The wake will be from 6 t0 8pm Thursday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Rev. Hobert Young Eaton, age 82 of Franklin, died Saturday, July 2nd, 2011, at the Hospice Center of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday at 2pm at the Macedonia General Baptist Church with Bro. David Youngblood, Dr. Curt Yarbrough and Bro. Dewayne Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. A native of Macon County Tennessee, he was the son of the late Will Eaton and Anna Carter Eaton. He was called into the ministry on August 6, 1956. He pastured several General Baptist churches including Shiloh, Macedonia, Corley's Chapel, Hollis Chapel, Green River Chapel, Salmons, Mud River Union, Providence, United, Cornerstone, Jones Chapel and Plain View General Baptist Churches. He conducted numerous revivals in the Kentucky-Tennessee area and was blessed by the Savior to lead many to the Lord. He received his Honorary Doctor of Divinity on November 1, 2002. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include his wife - Virginia Caldwell Eaton of Franklin; 1 son - Danny Eaton and wife Gail of Franklin; 1 daughter - Darlene Hobdy and husband Wayne of Hendersonville, TN; 2 sisters- Dorothy Johnson and Ruth Green both of Westmoreland, TN; grandchildren - Jenny Russo and husband Don of Gallatin, TN, Chris Eaton and Valerie Konow and husband Chad all of Franklin, and John Hobdy and wife Jill of Springfield, TN; great grandchildren - Kelton Carter, Kathleen Russo, Kaitlyn Konow, Caleb Konow, Jake Konow and Isaiah Hobdy. Visitation will be after 4pm Sunday and from 6am to 11am Monday at Crafton Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church beginning at 12noon Monday.

Mr. Carl Marshall Vance, age 81 of Woodburn, died Wednesday, June 29th, 2011, at his residence. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 2pm with Bro. Danny Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence cemetery. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Clarence Vance and Beulah Tarrence Vance. He was a retired employee of Holly Carburetor in Bowling Green. Mr. Vance was a charter member of the Woodburn Volunteer Fire Department where he retired as captain. He was a member of the Salmon's General Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son - Ricky Lee Vance, a brother - Herbert Vance and a grandson - Alan Travelstead. Survivors include his wife - Hazel Gregory Vance of Woodburn; 1 son - Bruce Vance and wife Sharon of Woodburn; 1 daughter - Nancy Travelstead and husband Jerry of Woodburn; 3 sisters - Helen Crafton of Franklin, Oleta Dearing of Franklin and Bonnie Perkins of Portage, Indiana; 1 brother - John Vance of Woodburn; 3 grandchildren - Jeff Vance and wife Linda of Bowling Green, Cody Vance and Tanya Travelstead Colley of Woodburn; 3 great grandchildren - Justin, Vance, Josh Vance and Lindsey Vance all of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 11am Thursday and after 6am Friday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard Waldon Rosdeutscher, age 85 of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 28th, at the Hopkins Care and Rehab Center in Woodburn. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 11am with Rev. John Gifford and Rev. Jerry Gifford officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late James Max Rosdeutscher and Lillie Bell Perdue Rosdeutscher. He was a member of Lake Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Rosdeutscher served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the US Calvert in the Pacific. He was a life long farmer and lived his entire married life in Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife - Frances Dison Rosdeutscher. Survivors include1 daughter - Sandra Nall and husband Donald of Owensboro and 1 son - James Howard Rosdeutscher and wife Jane of Franklin; 1 brother - James Warren Rosdeutscher and wife Helen of Franklin; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm Thursday and after 6am Friday at Crafton Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Brice Tyler Groves, age 24 of Franklin, died Saturday, June 25th, 2011 in Franklin as a result of a motorcycle accident. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 11am with Rev. Jerry Gifford, Rev. Gordon Foltz and Jeff Kepley officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Lawn cemetery. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of Bobby Groves of Franklin and Valerie Kepley Groves also of Franklin. He was an employee of Home Depot, a student of Western Kentucky University and a member of Franklin First Baptist Church. He was a 2004 graduate of Franklin Simpson High School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step mother - Carolyn Groves of Franklin; sister - Samantha Traughber of Scottsville; maternal grandparents - J. H. and Nancy Kepley of Franklin; step brothers - Adam McMillan of Maryland and Landon McMillan of Jamestown, TN; 1 nephew - Matthew Traughber of Scottsvile. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents - Bob and Kathleen Groves. Visitation will begin at 4pm Monday and after 6am Tuesday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Ms. Linda Anderson Montgomery, age 62 of Franklin, died Thursday, June 16th, 2011, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday at 2pm with Bros. Glen Ramsey and Eric Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery. A native of Robertson County Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Walter Anderson and Duane Ramsey Anderson. She attended the Lighthouse of Truth Church. She was a 26 year employee of Silgan Plastics. She was preceded in death by her husband - David Montgomery as well as 1 sister - Diane White and 2 brothers - Cecil Anderson and Walter 'Buddy' Anderson. Survivors include 1 daughter - Cindy Stratton and husband Danny of Russellville; 1 step daughter - Lisa Montgomery Smalling of Springfield, TN; 1 step son - Mark Montgomery of Franklin; 2 brothers - Bruce Anderson of Franklin and Alvin Anderson of Cadiz, KY; 7 sisters - Delores Sadler, Rebecca Jenkins, Joyce Bewley, Tina Burchett, Gloria Johnson, and Vickie Robertson all of Franklin and Lillian Bailey of Jeffersonville, Indiana; 1 grandson Holden Montgomery Stratton of Russellville; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 4pm Saturday and after 6am Sunday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Emma Owens Moore, age 86 of Franklin, died Friday, June 17th, 2011, at the Medical Center in Franklin. Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:30pm at the Woodburn Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodburn cemetery. A native of Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Owens and Winnie McFadden Owens. She was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband - William Guy Moore. Survivors include 1 daughter - Shirley Lorenzo of St. Petersburg, Florida; 2 sons - Mike Moore of Bowling Green and Jimmy Moore of Mitchellville, TN; 4 grandchildren - Austin Douglas Moore, Jerry Adams, Johnny & Ryan Moore. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm at Woodburn Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carrie Nelson Beasley, age 94 of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 14th, 2011, at the Medco Center in Franklin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 18th, at 11am at the Woodburn Baptist Church Franklin Campus. Burial will follow at a later date in Old Town cemetery in Haynesville, LA. A native of Springhill, LA, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jenney Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband - John William Beasley, Sr., 3 sons - Jody Clyde Beasley, John William Beasley, Jr. and Henry Steve Beasley, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include 1 daughter - Jean Hampton of Woodburn; 1 son - Larry Wayne Beasley of Bossier City, LA; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Charles Russell 'Coach' Atcher, age 65 of Franklin, died Monday, August 8th, 2011, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1pm at the Franklin Church of Christ with burial to follow in Green Lawn cemetery. A native of Ohio County, he was the son of the late Haynes Russell Atcher and Margaret Stewart Steele who survives in Titusville, Florida. He was a member of the Franklin Church of Christ. Mr. Atcher was a graduate of Central High School in Evansville, Indiana and received his Bachelors, Masters and Rank 1 from Western Kentucky University. He coached football and basketball and taught math, health and PE for 27 years at the Franklin Simpson Middle School. He was preceded in death by his step father - Henry J. Steele. In addition to his mother, he is survived by 3 daughters - Kim Wainscott and husband Mark of Louisville, Amy Bonner and husband Rodney of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Beth Stephens of Bowling Green; 5 grandchildren - Kayla Gilbreth, Brendan Wainscott, Kylie Wainscott, Annsleigh Bonner and Zoei Bonner; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be from 2 to 9pm Thursday and from 6am until 11am Friday at Crafton Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Frank M. Pope, age 90 of Franklin, died Friday, July 29th, 2011, at the Medical Center in Franklin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 1pm with burial to follow in the Crossroads cemetery in Allen County with military honors being conducted by the Simpson County Honor Guard. A native of Simpson County, he was the son of the late Edgar Pope and Ava Lee Chaney Pope. He was retired from the Simpson County Lumber Company after 33 years of service. Mr. Pope was a member of the New Middle Fork Missionary Baptist Church since 1954 where he served as deacon and adult Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the New Roe Masonic Lodge #592 since 1945. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife - Ruby Reeder Pope of Franklin; 2 daughters - Ruth Law and husband Harry, Shirley Keen and husband Lee all of Franklin; 6 grandchildren - Jimmy Law, Frankie Law, Vicki Cowles, and Timmy Keen all of Franklin, Beth Smith of Scottsville and Kathy Carr of St. Louis, Missouri; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren; a nephew - Dan O'Neal of Indianapolis and several other nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 4pm Saturday and after 6am Sunday and Monday at Crafton Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to the New Middle Fork Missionary Baptist Church building fund. A Masonic service will be held Sunday at 7pm at Crafton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cindy Reed Taguchi, age 56 of Franklin, died Wednesday, July 27th, 2011, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held Sunday at 2pm with Dr. John Adams officiating. A native of Noblesville, IN, she was the daughter of Jack Reed of Indianapolis and Anna Pedigo Gosse of Frankliln. She was a medical assistant. She was preceded in death by a brother - Corey Reed. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband - Alan Taguchi of Franklin; step father - Robert Gosse of Franklin; 3 brothers - Mike Reed of Indianapolis, Todd Farley of Indiana and Victor Gallert of California; 2 sisters - Julie Brown of California and Laura Reed of Nashville and several nieces and nephews, aunts & uncles. Visitation will begin at 11am Sunday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brenda Kay Rippy Henson, age 51 of Franklin, died Wednesday, July 27th, 2011 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where servies will be held Friday at 4pm with burial to follow in the Fairfield cemetery. A native of Simpson County, she was the daughter of Roy Harold Rippy and Dorothy Earlene Henson Rippy both of Franklin. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 2 daughters - Debra Apple and Lisa Slack both of Franklin; 1 brother - James Rippy of Franklin; 4 grandchildren and 2 nieces. Visitation will begin at 10am Thursday and after 6am Friday at Crafton Funeral Home.

Mr. James Wright, age 73 of Franklin, died Monday, July 25th, 2011, at the Medical Center in Franklin. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Crafton Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 2pm with Bro. Winston Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Robertson County Tennessee, he was the son of the late Otha Wright and Grace Elizabeth Pinson Wright. He was retired from the Eaton Corporation. Mr. Wright was an Army Veteran. Survivors include 1 nephew - Larry Draper of Mitchellville, TN; 2 nieces - Linda Brigance of Franklin and Donna Hawkins of Mitchellville, TN. Visitation will begin at 10am Friday at Crafton Funeral Home.
