Sarah Lee Erwin, 21, Glasgow , died Tuesday, December 23, 2003 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Barren County , she was a graduate of Barren County High School .

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Erwin of Glasgow; one sister, Rebecca Simmons and her husband, Tony, of Glasgow; maternal grandmother, Mamie Erwin of Glasgow; one niece, Julie Simmons and her fiancée, Raymond Johnson, of Glasgow; one nephew, Jason Simmons and his wife, Linda, of Glasgow; one great niece, Katelyn Simmons; two great nephews, Dylan Simmons and Isaiah Johnson. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Erwin.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Smith cemetery at Coral Hill. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Ora Nancy Eatmon

August 26, 1929 - December 22, 2004

Ora Nancy Eatmon, 75, Glasgow , died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, at the Metcalfe County Nursing Home. A daughter of the late Zola English and Harrison Champion Smith, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late James Edgar Eatmon.

Survivors include four daughters, Sue Goad, Geardine Jackson, Marsha Gardner and Barbara Shaw; seven sons, James, Charles, Richard, Russel, Donald, Jimmy and Mitchel; one sister, Gertrude Taylor; 13 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; 6 step- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Katheryn Estep

April 18, 1917 - January 26, 2005

Fannie Katheryn Estep, 87, formerly of Hiseville, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at McKendree Village in Nashville.

She was the daughter of the late Hayes and Angie Brown Sneed. She was the wife of the late William Floyd Estep.

Survivors include her son, Bill Estep, of Lebanon, Tennessee, her daughter, Alma Nantz of Houston ,Texas. Three grandchildren, Mike Nantz, of Houston, Texas, Dawn Estep, of Lebanon, Tennessee, Brian Estep of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Three great- grandchildren, Alicia Estep of Lebanon, Tennessee, Alex and Hope Estep of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 12:00 noon until time of services.

Walter P. Goodman

1924 - 2001

Walter P. Goodman age 76 of Lexington died Monday, March 5, 2001 at the Glasgow State ICF. He was the son of the late Rev Bill and Stilla Padget Goodman. He was a retired from the Blue Diamond Coal Company and the Margie Grand Theater and a veteran of WW II.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by Two Daughters. Barbara Lou Goodman an Donna Kay Goodman. Three Brothers: Raymond Goodman, Leonord Goodman and Millard Goodman. Two sisters: Lettie Goodman and Reeley Romshock.

Survivors include Three Sons: Gary Goodman of Florida, Walter Goodman of North Carolina and Danny Ray Goodman of Harlan, Ky.

One Daughter: Teresa Goodman of Lexington. Grandchildren: Chris Goodman of Tennessee, Jason Goodman of Harlan, Donna Goodman of Tennessee, Stacy Turner of North Carolina Duayne Holton of North Carolina, Adam Wayne Goodman of Florida, Michael P. and Melissa L. Goodman both of Lexington.

Funeral will be 12 Noon Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11:00 AM Wednesday.

Jerry N. Gray

July 11, 1947 - February 19, 2008

Jerry N. Gray, 60, Cave City, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at his residence. A son of the late Luther and Dolly Pauline Morgan Gray, he was a former employee of National Wood Products.

Survivors include one son, Jeremy Gray; one daughter, Jennifer Gray; one granddaughter, Emma Grace Gray, all of Cave City; three brothers, Delbert Gray of Glasgow, David Gray of Lexington and Billy Gray of Louisville; one sister, Linda Keys of Cave City; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Buck Hill cemetery under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray expenses.

Deborah Dean

October 30, 1969 - August 27, 2005

Deborah Lucille Ballard Dean, 35, Frazier Street, Glasgow, died Saturday, August 27, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident. A native of Barren County, she was a sewing operator at Edmonton Manufacturing Company.

Survivors include her parents, Robert Earl and Linda Martin Ballard of Kino; four children, Aaron Lutterman, Robert “Ben” Dean, Megan Medley and Makalob Driver all of Glasgow; one brother, Robert Allen Ballard; one sister, Diana Lynn Brieschke; five nieces and nephews, Lance Brieschke, Justin Brieschke, Trevor Ballard, Whitney Ballard and Garrett Ballard; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Talbert and Lucille Ballard and James and Lucille Martin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Sherfey cemetery at Knob Lick. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Virgie Ruth Edwards

December 21, 1915 - May 29, 2004

Virgie Ruth Kidd Edwards, 88, Knob Lick, died Friday, May 28, 2004 , at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Green County , she was a daughter of the late Thomas Walton (T.W.) and Addie Lee Lindsey Kidd. She was a retired employee of Mallory Capacitor; a former piano teacher at Hiseville and Park City Schools ; a member of the Big Meadow Missionary Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Edmonton Chapter of Eastern Star.

Survivors include three children, Lynn Travis Edwards and his wife, Wanda, of Cave City, Joyce Gordon of Glasgow, Joseph Preston Edwards and his wife, Pat, of Alvaton; 10 grandchildren, Mark Edwards, Tammy Powell, Kerry Edwards, Suzanne Kidd, Vicky Hodge, Cathy Jessie, David Mathis, Shanna Farmer, Kendra Back and Nicholas Edwards; 4 step- grandchildren, Teresa Rogers, Sandy Raymer, Jackie Raymer and Angela Wilkins; 31 great- grandchildren; 22 great- great- grandchildren;; 6 step- great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Harvey Edwards; one daughter, Wanda Lois Edwards; a son- in- law, Lenville “Peanut” Gordon; two sisters, Verna Blevins and Gladys Shirley; six brothers, Eural Kidd, Thurman Kidd, Luther Kidd, Malcolm Kidd, Johnny Kidd and R.B. Kidd; and two great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2004 , at the Big Meadow Baptist Church with burial in the Big Meadow cemetery . Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Ronnie Douglas Hawks

May 21, 1956~November 22, 2002

Ronnie Douglas Hawks, 46, Scottsville, died Friday in Bowling Green from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Barren County, he was the son of Loretta Littrell and the late Bryant Roex Hawks and a self- employed farmer and carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda; one son, Dakota Hawks of Bowling Green; his mother and step- father, Loretta and Cecil Crumpton of Smiths Grove; two step children, Terri Adams and Terrelton Young of Glasgow; two sisters, Karen Dickerson of Shepherdsville and Cindy Stebbins of Summer Shade; one step- brother, Gary Crumpton of Ft. Wayne; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Henderson cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Annette Albany Delk

February 14, 1949 - March 9, 2002

Annette Albany Delk, 53, Glasgow, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at her residence. Born February 14, 1949, she was the daughter of Edward and Nelda Cox Albany. She was a Traffic Control Officer with the Glasgow Police Department. She had worked many years in traffic control at school crossings in Glasgow and was affectionately called “Miss Annette” by the elementary students.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Delk of Glasgow; her parents, Edward and Nelda Albany of Glasgow; her significant other, Dennis Love of Glasgow; two brothers, Al Albany and Eric Albany and his wife, Terri all of Glasgow; four nieces and nephews, Willie Albany, Austin Albany, Kacy Albany and Eliza Albany; one aunt, Mildred Albany of Glasgow; two uncles, Philip Cox and A.G. Cox.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Monday at the funeral home.

Dave High

March 5, 1922 - May 7, 2006

Dave High, 84, Tompkinsville, died Sunday, May 07, 2006, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Monroe County, he was a son of the late Lan Daw and Dona Brown High. He was a retired farmer and had retired from more than 35 years of helping area farmers with their veterinary needs. He was a United States Army veteran of WWII, having served almost three years in Europe. He was involved in four of the major battles, including the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Neva Nell McPherson High; three sons, Jimmie High and his wife, Linda Carolyn of Tompkinsville, Junior High and his wife, Donna, of Nashville, Tommy High and his wife, Judy, of Glasgow; one daughter, Judy Turner of Tompkinsville; 9 grandchildren, Greg High and wife, Penni of Tompkinsville, Ginger High Colvin and husband, Robert, of Campbellsville, Brent High and wife, Emily, Chad High and wife, Laura Beth, and Lance High all of Nashville, Susie High Lucas and husband, Byron, of Bowling Green, David High of Glasgow, Jason Turner and wife, Nikki, and Leslie Turner all of Tompkinsville; 7 great- grandchildren; one sister, Deane Tooley of Monrovia, California; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Arvo High, Earl High, Oral High, Oval High and Morris High.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ with burial in the Mt. Gilead cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Charities or Healing Hands ABC. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Thomas Foster

June 25, 1918 - December 1, 2003

Thomas Franklin Foster, 85, Glasgow , died Monday, December 01, 2003 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Barren County , he was the son of the late Beulah Morton and Samuel Thomas Foster. He was a former co- owner of J & F Furniture and later served as manager of the F. P. Williams Furniture Co., from which he retired. He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and the Allen Lodge # 24 F. & A.M.

Survivors include one daughter, Jane Allen Lyons and her husband, Dale, of Elizabethtown ; two grandchildren, Chuck Lyons of Louisville and Dala Louthan and her husband, Brian, of Hodgenville; two great- grandchildren, Kellie and Austin Louthan; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two wives, Wyvurn Opal Brown Foster and Thelma Litsey Foster; and by one sister, Mary Allen Webb.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
