Frank J. Nastold, 97, of Cincinnati, died Friday at Francis can at West Park nursing home, Cincinnati.

He was a printer for Billboard Publishing Co., Cincinnati and a member of St. Martin of Tours Church, Cheviot.

Mr. Nastold was also a member of the Jesuit Family Club of Cincinnati.

Survivors include sons, Rev. Donald O. Nastold and Thomas Nastold, both of Cincinnati; daughters, Sister Ruth Nastold of Cincinnati and Mary Lou Case of Ft. Wright, and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Visitation will be there from 4 p.m. to time of services Monday with prayers at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati.

Memorials are suggested to Mercy Hospital Anderson Foundation, 7500 State Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45255.

Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, Cincinnati, is handling arrangements.

Frances K. Rose, 89, of Owenton, died Friday at Owen County Memorial Hospital, Owenton.

She was a homemaker and a member of Owenton First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Rose Juett of Owenton; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, Owenton. Visitation will be there from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Owenton.

Memorials are suggested to Owenton First Baptist Church building fund or Richland Baptist Church.

Barbara Switzer Schuster, 60, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Northern Kentucky, died Thursday at her home.

She was a former UNIX technical services manager with AT&T, Cincinnati.

Survivors include a son, Michael Schuster of Cary, Ill.; a daughter, Michelle Schuster of Orlando; mother, Esther Sebastian Switzer of Scottsburg, Ind.; Nancy Minnick of Florence, and Elberta Lundy of Scottsburg, Ind.; brothers, Paul Switzer of Columbus, Ind. and Dewey Switzer of Butler; and four grandsons.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown. Visitation will be there from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Grant County.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

Dorothy Mae Tustin, 70, of Taylor Mill, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Hospice, Covington.

Arrangements are pending at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia.

Sarah Ellen Vest, 71, of Somerset, died Thursday at her residence.

She was a former hostess for American Airlines and a member of Erlanger Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William H. Vest; a daughter, Vickie Phelps of Burnside, and a grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Somerset Undertaking Co. Chapel, Somerset. Visitation will be there from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Somerset Undertaking Co.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Cemetery, Somerset.

Hebron's Rev. Earl L. Edwards, pastor of St. Luke United Methodist

The Rev. Earl Laverne Edwards, who was pastor at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Covington for the past 28 years, died Sunday from injuries he suffered in a home-repair accident on Friday.

Rev. Edwards, 70, was working with an employee on some rental property when the man fell off a ladder and into Rev. Edwards. The pastor's head struck the ground and he never recovered from his injuries, said his wife of 50 years, Margaret Edwards of Hebron.

"He was a loving, thoughtful, Christian man. He was the finest man that ever walked the face of the earth. And everyone who knew him would tell you the same," Mrs. Edwards said Monday.

Rev. Edwards died Sunday at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Before coming to St. Luke United Methodist Church, he was pastor of Prater Memorial Church in Salyersville. He was a pastor of several Illinois churches and one in Jackson, Ky. He also was a Navy veteran.

Rev. Edwards was an evangelical preacher and often spoke about heaven and hell. He took care to speak to "all walks of people, whether they were rich or poor, he spoke to them about the Lord," Mrs. Edwards said.

Rev. Edwards was from Carterville, Ill., and met his bride shortly after she graduated from high school. They raised four daughters.

"He was a wonderful, loving, caring father," Mrs. Edwards said.

Other survivors include his daughters, Earline Spencer of Ray Township, Mich., Cheryl Koller of Edgewood, Charlotte Edwards and Dr. Melissa Edwards, both of Hebron; a brother, Lowell Edwards of Portage, Ind.; sisters, Pauline Bartos of Muskegon, Mich., and Grace Hogg of Carterville, Ill.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Erlanger United Methodist Church, Erlanger. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Covington, and from 1 p.m. Thursday until services at Erlanger United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 18th and Scott Sts., Covington 41014. Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill, is handling arrangements.

Clara Augenstein, 83, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence.

Sarah J. Browning, 100, of Falmouth, died Saturday at Eastern Star Nursing Home, Louisville. She was a homemaker and a member of Falmouth Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Henry C. Browning, died in 1964. A son, John Henry Browning, died in 1979.

Survivors include daughters, Elva Ruth Holmes and Aleene Ramsey, both of Falmouth; sons, Edward Lee Browning of Louisville and Donald E. Browning of Falmouth; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to the nursing home, 923 Cherokee Road, Louisville, 40204, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Hazel Chester, 80, of Newport, died Sunday at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas. She was a retired elevator operator and a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Newport. Her husband, Rodney Chester, died in 1982. A son, Barney Chester, died in 1994.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy Naberhouse and Wanda Mumphrey, both of Newport, Janice Alford of Cincinnati, Peggy Riley of Newport and Diana Batton of Melbourne; sons, Gary Chester, Bill Chester and Ricky Chester, all of Newport; stepsons, Jack Chester and Paul Chester, both of Cincinnati, Gene Chester of Newport and Ernest Chester of Dayton; a sister, Dee Leist of Ft. Thomas; a brother, Henry Turner of Florida; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.

Beatrice Sanders Insko, 78, of Lexington, formerly of Mason County, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was a retired dispatcher with GTE Telephone and a member of Mays Lick Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Owen D. Insko; sons, Harry Insko and Lynn Insko, both of Lexington; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Palmer Funeral Home, Mays Lick. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery, Mason County.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, 40504.

Survivors include daughters, Nancy Burke of Mason, Ohio, Geraldine Cherry of Calabash, N.C., Rosella Lane of Alexandria, Joan Lang of Cincinnati and Betty Walter of Ft. Thomas; sons, Frank Lang of Silver Grove, Danny Lang of Cincinnati and Richard Lang of Melbourne; 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Herbert Edward Lonneman Jr., 58, of Newport, died Sunday at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a driver with S&S Delivery, Cincinnati. His wife, Shirley Dreyer Lonneman, died in 1994.

Survivors include a son, Bri an Lonneman of Crestview; a daughter, Vicky Thomas of Cincinnati; sisters, Betty Hurtt of Dayton, Jean Green of Wilmington, N.C., and Alice McDonald of Cincinnati; a brother, Richard Lonneman of Montgomery, Ohio; and one grandchild.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Newport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Charles E. Miley, 67, of North Canton, Ohio, formerly of Ludlow, died Sunday at his home. He was a retired bank examiner with Federal Home Loan Bank Board and an employee of Midland Buckeye Savings and Loan Co. He was a member of Ludlow Christian Church and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Coreine Skidmore Miley; daughters, Barbara Maximovich and Michele Pennix, both of North Canton; a son, William Clark of North Canton; a sister, Jeanne Brean of Hollywood, Fla.; a brother, Robert Miley of Ludlow; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Arnold Funeral Home in North Canton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow services.

Lillian P. Plummer, 91, of Newport, died Sunday at Salem Park Nursing Home, Cincinnati. She was a member of Corpus Christi Church Altar Society and a bingo worker at the church. She also was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Lawler Hanlon VFW Post No. 5662, Newport, and a member of Women's Democratic Club of Campbell County. Her husband, James H. Plummer, died in 1953.

Survivors include sons, Charles Tolle of Newport and James A. Plummer of Albuquerque; daughters, Mary Ellen Durham of Texas , Mary Orem of Milan, Ind., and Betty McIlvoy of Highland Heights; a sister, Ellen Carter of Wisconsin; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
