Helen Craig Phillips

September 23, 1922 - June 19, 2004

Helen Craig Phillips, 81 of Hiseville died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky. She was the daughter of the late George Craig and Irene Colb Craig. She was the former owner of Phillips Market in Hiseville and a member of the Big Meadow Baptist Church .

She is survived by three sons: Bill Phillips of Hiseville, Jim Phillips of New Albany, IN and Mike Phillips of Hiseville; one brother: Charles Smith of Ohio ; one sister: Dorothy Griffith of Ohio ; eight grandchildren: Dawn Reynolds, Melissa Norris, Marsha Thomas, Valerie Allen, Tiffani Phillips, Kristin Childress, Dusty Phillips, Trevor Phillips; eight great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Phillips and her step-mother Jewell Craig.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville cemetery . Visitation will be after 11:00 A. M. Monday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hiseville Fire Department.

Ricky A. (Buddy) Owens

March 17, 1986 - May 21, 2004

Ricky Allen (Buddie) Owens, 18, of Glasgow died Friday May 21, 2004 . He was the son of the late Ricky (Ax) Owens and his mother Debbie Lee of Glasgow .

Besides his mother he is survived by his Grandmother Laura Owens of Glasgow and several aunts uncles, cousins and friends.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandmother Mildred Morgan Lee.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery . Visitation will be after 11:00 A. M. Sunday at the funeral home.

William Edward Palmore

September 26, 1914 - February 24, 2004

William “Ed” Palmore, 89, Glasgow, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at the Glasgow Health and Rehab Center . A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Troy and Letha Susan Brown Palmore and a retired employee of National Brush Company.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Borders Palmore; one daughter, Geneane McGuire of Glasgow; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Palmore of Glasgow; one sister, Zelma Gooden of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Joey Palmore of Cave City, Angie Lovell of Glasgow, Maria White of Edmonton, Bobby McGuire of Glasgow and Greg McGuire of Austin; seven step-children, Edna Stone, Ann Pace and husband, Paul, James H. Thomas and wife, Rebecca, Terry Thomas and wife, Linda, and Dickie Thomas and wife, Debbie, all of Glasgow; Georgia McGonigle of Elizabethtown, Betteye Goode and husband, Doug, of Sevierville, TN.; one step-son-in-law, Joseph Pace; two nephews, James Palmore and Wayne McGuire both of Texas; two nieces, Joyce Emmitt of Cave City and Julia Browning of Glasgow; 22 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Pearl Gooden Palmore; one son, Haskell Palmore; one son-in-law, Leon McGuire; two brothers, John Palmore and Comer Palmore; two sisters, Marie Sowers and Christine McGuire; two step-children, Barbara Pace and Billy Thomas; two step-sons-in-law, Jewell Stone and Lou McGonigle.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Marcella Pardue

June 6, 1941 - June 24, 2006

Marcella Jeffries Pardue, 65, Glasgow, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at her residence. Born June 6, 1941, to Callie Saltsman Jeffries and the late Orbrey Jeffries, she was a homemaker, baby sitter and a member of the Harmony Independent Baptist Church in Green County.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bobby Pardue; two daughters, Donna Pardue Lutterman of Lexington, and Patty Pardue Hatfield and husband, Billy, of Cave City; two grandchildren, Nathan Lutterman and wife, Stephanie, of Scottsville, and Amy Ellis and husband, Bobby, of Bowling Green; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Thomason and one great-grandson, Seth Lutterman, both of Scottsville; five sisters, Wanda Smith and husband, Jim, of Warren County, Bonnie Sherfey and husband, Carlie, of Glasgow, Linda Sue Neagle and husband, Junior, of Warren County, Deborah Reece and husband, Terry, of Edmonton, and Regina Fancher and husband, Dale, of Knob Lick; several nieces and nephews and three great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ella Mae Perkins

March 6, 1912 - January 24, 2004

Ella Mae Perkins, 91 of Glasgow, died Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Barren County Health Care Facility. A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late William H. Shelley and Malicia Mae Pennycuff Shelley. Mrs. Perkins was owner and operator of Gladys K’s dress shop for several years and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church . She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Perkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Wilkinson and her husband, Stanley, of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Sheryl Jones of Glasgow, Randy Wilkinson and his wife, Yvonne, of Glasgow; two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Kole Wilkinson; one sister-in-law, Helen Shelley of Bowling Green; two dedicated care givers, Anita Houchens and Erma Finn; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery . Visitation will be after 3:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions may take the form of contributions to your favorite charity or to the Glasgow Baptist Church .

Annie Mary Robinson

Annie Mary Robinson, 88, Elizabethtown, IN, died Sunday, October 17, 2004, at her residence. A native of Metcalfe County and a former resident of Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Amelia Williams Gassaway. She was a retired employee of the Kentucky Box Company and a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew Robinson; one sister, Margaret Chaplin of Columbus, IN ; one brother, Frank Gassaway of Elizabethtown, IN ; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vangie Palmore and Polly Johnson; four brothers, Joe, Bobby, Charlie and Richard Gassaway.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Benjamin Ramon "Jack" Parker

January 05, 1920 - November 07, 2006

Benjamin Ramon “Jack” Parker, 86, died Tuesday, November 07, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Horace Parker and Willie Verda Ramey Parker.

He is survived by nine children: Jimmy Parker, Rosemary Childers, Willie Parker, Donald Parker, Laura Marr, Depp Parker, Virginia Keown, Charles Parker and Ruby Morale; Eighteen grandchildren and Twenty Six Great-Grandchildren.

preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lewis Eaton Parker; three children: Margaret Ann Houchens, Harry Thomas Parker and Billy Raymond Parker; one grandson: Haskell Earl Houchens, Jr. and four brothers and one sister.

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Staples officiating. Burial will be in the Parker cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Elsie Jane Morgan Peden

September 22, 1945 - April 13, 2005

Elsie Jane Morgan Peden, 59, Glasgow, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at her residence. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Jane Ferguson Morgan, a factory worker, a member of NAMI and attended the Glasgow Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri Lynn Gibbons and her husband, David, and Kenna Dee Peden; three sons, Kevin Dale Peden, Kris Peden and his wife, Marsha, and Ken Garrett and his wife, Teresa Eversole-Garrett, all of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Brandon Trae Gordon, Benjamin Kyle Gordon and Johnathan Taylor Peden; three sisters, Lucille Hiser of Glasgow, Virginia Sturghill and Clara Mae Onofrey both of Louisville; three brothers, Thomas Morgan of Glasgow, Frank Morgan, Jr. of Louisville and William Herschel Morgan of Winchester; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Jane Peden; four brothers, Eugene Morgan, Ray Morgan, Welby Morgan and Albert Morgan; two sisters, Leona Simmons and Aleyne Carnahan.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the Glasgow Wesleyan Church with burial in the Big Meadow cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Frances Forbis Pedigo

March 17, 1934 - February 19, 2007

Frances Forbis Pedigo, 72, Glasgow, died Monday, February 19, 2007, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The daughter of Howard and Mae Meek Forbis. She was a childcare provider for Dr. Melissa Walton-Shirley and a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Leslie L. Pedigo; her children, Vickie Pedigo Reece and husband, Ricky, of Cave City, and Steve Pedigo of Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Jrlean Pedigo of Bowling Green; her mother, Mae Forbis Thompson and her husband, James; one Brother, Bobby Forbis and wife, Joanna, of Glasgow; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one niece; and two special children, Aaron and Kate Shirley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard, and one son, Leslie Perry Pedigo.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edna Lucille Polson

March 5, 1920 - March 26, 2006

Edna Lucille Polson, 85 of Glasgow, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Barren County Health Care Facility. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Nunn and Ellis Tomey Nunn and the wife of the late Albert Lee Polson. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son: David Polson and his wife Linda of Glasgow; one daughter: Gayle Smith of Glasgow; three granddaughters: Gina South, Danielle Polson and Tami Croft. Three great-grandsons.

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 3:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
