Beatrice Riley Tidrow
April 3, 1910 - January 18, 2004
Beatrice Riley Tidrow, 93, of Glasgow died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the Barren County Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Riley and Mary Ethel Jones Riley. She was a retried seamstress from Handmachers.
She is survived by one daughter: Elizabeth Rascoe Ford and her husband Ronnie; four grandchildren: Scott Rascoe of Glasgow, Sherry Frank and her husband Matthew of Clifton, VA, Steven Rascoe of Louisville and Randy Rascoe of Bowling Green; five great-grandchildren: Ben Rascoe, Kassie Rascoe, Elizabeth Frank, Lauren Frank and Seth Frank; Several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Danny "Joey" Tibbs
1971 - 2001
Danny Joe “Joey” Tibbs age 30 of Glasgow died Wednesday November 14. He was a self employed Mechanic. He was the son of Danny Tibbs of Cave City and Betty Tibbs of Glasgow. He was an Army Veteran.
Beside his parents he is survived by his Maternal Grandparents Marion and Robbie Payne of Merry Oaks. Two sisters: Shelly Thomas and a special friend Odell and Samantha Pedigo of Glasgow. Four Uncles: Frank Payne and his wife Belinda of Glasgow, Danny Payne and his special friend Mildred of Merry Oaks, Timmy Payne and his wife Deniese of Glasgow, Mike Furlong of Edmonton and Barry Furlong of Summer Shade. Two Nieces and one Nephew.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Maria Lavada Traylor
October 19, 1949 - December 1, 2003
Maria Lavada Traylor, 54, of Merry Oaks community, died Monday, December 1, 2003 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . She was the daughter of Charles Cheney and the late Mary Morton Cheney. She was a member of the World Changers at WJCR Radio Station.
Besides her father survivors include her husband Warren Traylor; four children: David Traylor and his wife Kari of Glasgow, Aaron Traylor and his wife Regina of Louisville, Kentucky, Tammy Traylor of Panama City, Florida, and Joshua Traylor of Glasgow; six grandchildren; one brother: Charles Cheney, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister: Patsy Stratton and her husband Wayne of Louisville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in the Bon Ayr cemetery Friends may call after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home.
Dorothy Wheeler Sharp
March 26, 1919 - April 4, 2003
Dorothy Wheeler Sharp, 84, Glasgow, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Cora McGuire Wheeler. She was a homemaker and a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Donald Sharp and wife, Ruth Jean, of Glasgow; one daughter, Sharon Sutherland and husband, Steve, of Glasgow; grandchildren, Jeff and Tina Sharp, Rebel and Randy Byrn, Stacy and Allyson Sutherland all of Glasgow, Shad and Jenny Sutherland of Snellville, GA.; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Elijah Sharp, Hayden Sutherland, Alicia Jones, Joe Dan, Tori and Jack Byrn; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neville Sharp; and three brothers, Harold, Paul (Snook) and Bill Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
Margaret Frances Sharp
Margaret Frances Sharp, 81, Tick Ridge Road , Glasgow , died Wednesday, March 03, 2004 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Thompson Freeman, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late Haskel Acton Sharp.
Survivors include three children, Rebecca Thomas and her husband, James H., David Sharp and his wife, Terrie, Beverly Bulle and her husband, Steve, all of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Shane Bulle and his wife, Patsey, of Edmonton, Kelly Thomas, Marta Bulle Cunningham and her husband, Trent, Bradley Sharp and Jeremy Greer, all of Glasgow; one great-granddaughter, Pacie Bulle; three sisters, Louise Cox and her husband, Bill, of Glasgow, Ann Kinser and her husband, Ecil, of Leitchfield, Martha Love of Hiseville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
James H. Shelton
James H. Shelton, 88, formerly of Barren County, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Franciscan Healthcare Home in Louisville. He was a retired machinist for the old Schuler Axle Company and a member of Lyons Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie Shelton and his wife, Bee; four grandchildren, Jimmie, Jessica and her husband, David, Elizabeth and her husband, Jeff, Christopher and Amy; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Kalynn, Shelby, Andrew and Alexis; one nephew, Romie Shelton, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 p.m. Thursday at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, Taylor Blvd, Louisville; and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
James Shepard
May 3, 1950 - February 24, 2005
James Elbert Shepard, 54, Glasgow, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at his residence. Born in Barren County he was a son of the late Jessie Louis and Lucy Snead Shepard.
Survivors include a son, Chad Shepard and wife Kimberly of Glasgow, and a daughter, Rita Pulliam and husband Ronald Stone of West Virginia; three brothers, Bobby of Florida, David of Illinois and Ernest of Indiana; one sister, Lois Edwards of Cave City; two grandchildren, Ashley Pulliam Morris and J. R. Stone; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Shepard.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Friends may call after 12:00 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
Alice Taylor

Alice Rutherford Taylor, 96, Glasgow , died Monday, October 25, 2004 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Adairville, she was a homemaker, a former hairdresser and a member of the First Christian Church. She was the widow of the late Jack P. Taylor.
Survivors include two great-nieces, Jolene Bohannon and her husband, Bill, and Lynn Downs and her husband, Bill, all of Illinois .
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2004, at the First Christian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 12 noon Wednesday at the church.
Marjorie Shipp
October 22, 1921 - October 17, 2002
Marjorie Ragland Shipp, 80, Glasgow, died Thursday at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Magnolia, she was the daughter of the late Squire and Viva Nunn Ragland. She was a retired case worker with the Department of Social Services and a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Lakin and her husband, Larry, of Louisville; two grandchildren, Patrick Lakin and Jeni-Rebecca Lakin, both of Louisville. Her husband, Weber Shipp, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First Christian Church.
Violet Ruth Settles

Violet Ruth Settles, 73, Railton, died Monday, August 23, 2004 , at the Medical Center at Bowling Green . A native of Barren County , she was a daughter of the late Lillian Elizabeth Carter and Luther Evis Nichols. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Erik Dieterich and his wife, Etta, of Glasgow ; one daughter, Valerie Dieterich of Railton; four grandchildren, Erika Dieterich, Erin Dieterich, Evie Dieterich and Emma Dieterich; two sisters, Aline Jones and Lera Payne both of Glasgow; two brothers, Cleo Nichols of Martinsville , IN , and Alta Nichols of Franklin ; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kenneth Settles; two sisters, Edna Bowles and Helen Keener and one brother, Marshall Nichols.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, August 26, 2004 , at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Shiloh cemetery . Friends may call after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Howard D. Seybert
February 02, 1918 - October 03, 2004
Howard Dean Seybert, 86 of Glasgow died Sunday, October 3, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . Born in Flint , Indiana , he was the son of the late Fred Seybert Sr. and Blanche Bowerman Seybert. Mr. Seybert was a retired Electrical Instructor and Supervisor at North Indiana Public Services Company (NIPSCO) for twenty five years. He was a Elder at the Earl Road Christian Church, former assistant Chaplain at the Westville Correctional Center, Minister at the Chestnut Grove Church in Breeding, KY, and most recently attended Coral Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include four step-children: Lindon Faull and his wife, Karmal of Vincennes, In., LaVelda Faull of Glasgow, LynDonna Nothstine and her husband, Barry, of Glasgow, Mary Abbott and her husband, Rick ,of Cave City . Three brothers, William “Bill” Seybert of White Pigeon Michigan , Philip Ross Seybert of Michigan, Fred Seybert Jr. of New Mexico. Two sisters, Lydia Whitenberg of White Pigeon, Michigan , Alice Jane Sherman of Sturgis , Mississippi . Eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Ruth Seybert.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 08, 2004 , at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Swan Lake cemetery in Michigan City , Indiana . Visitation will begin after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
