Keith "Keebie" Ferrell

Keith Leonard Ferrell, 46, passed away Saturday in an early morning motorcycle accident.

Keith was a lover of life and made sure that those he loved and cared for were taken care of. He was a trusted member of the 2 Tha-Limit M.C.; affiliated with Resurrection Riders; Friends of 2nd Brigade and many others.

A huge fan of football, Keith played Semi-Pro Football for the Hardin County Wolverines.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter, D'Andrea Ferell; mother, Sara Pittman Ferrell; brother, Michael Ferrell (Annette); sisters, Cynthia Boutte (Edward) and Katrina Guenthner (Louie); uncle, Dr. Marvin Benjamin (Amanda); step-children, Sacha Hartzell, Anthony Charles; numerous nieces nephews and friends.

Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday September 25, 2010, at New Hope Baptist Church gymnasium in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Joe Bandy Penrod

Joe Bandy Penrod, 68, of 3701 South Griffith Ave., Owensboro, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at his home. The Greenville native retired from the Owensboro Public Schools as a teacher and an administrator and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Goodwin Penrod; a son, Todd Penrod of Dallas; two brothers, Billy Penrod of Benton and Ed Penrod of Columbia, Tenn.; and two sisters, Nancy Alford of Madisonville and Jean Estes of Owensboro.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John United Methodist Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.

Ray Roberts

UTICA -- William Ray Roberts, 56, of Utica died Monday, June 2, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native retired from BFI, was a Catholic and an Army veteran. He was a member of McLean County Fish & Game and enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Josephine Ann Roberts; a son, Kevin Roberts of Utica; two daughters, Karen Winder and Kelly Duncan, both of Utica; eight grandchildren; and three sisters, Marsha Gayle Conder of Philpot, Donna Scott of McHenry and Pam Pullen of Owensboro.

Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation is after 1 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Ronald McDonald House.

Larry B. McDaniel

Larry B. McDaniel, 52, of Philpot died Friday, July 13, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Fort Knox native was a self-employed brick layer and a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Brenda Fay McDaniel; a son, Barry McDaniel of Philpot; two grandchildren; a brother, Joseph McDaniel of Florida; and a sister, Rose McDaniel of Perryville, Ohio.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Burial will be in Cates cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Patricia Joan Iverson

SACRAMENTO -- Patricia Joan Iverson, 65, of Sacramento died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Day County, Fla., native was a homemaker and member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Bremen.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Iverson; two sons, Richard Merlin of Sacramento and Dr. Dan Merlin of Livia; and three grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

Gloria Dodge

Gloria Dodge, 73, of Paris, Kentucky, died Monday, September 13, 2010 at Bourbon Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Joseph; a son, Gerald (Derrie) Dodge; two daughters, Janet (James) Francis and Deborah ( Hamaza Malik) Dodge; eight brothers, Charles (Maragret) Brooks, James (Catherine) Brooks, Melvin (Mary) Brooks, Evan Fields, John Fields, Wallis Brooks, Clayton Brooks, and Gary Brooks; two sisters, Lynn (Ed) Jones and Laura Fields; eight grandchildren, Shaunta Dodge, Yvonne Dodge, Niya Dodge, Kahatirah Malik, Kedar Malik, Krystia Dodge, Angel Dodge, and Jasmin Dodge; five great- grandchildren, Khaterah Dodge- Richard, Daijona Dodge- Lewis, Demaurioun Gatewood, Denisha Dodge- Summerour, and Damauria Dodge; five uncles, Scott Doyle Sr., Sam Bradley, James Bradley, Ollie Bradley, and Frank Bradley; two aunts, Lillian Dunn and Hazel Hurley.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at 7th Street Christian Church in Paris.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at 7th Street Christian Church.

Percell and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Robinson Shourds

Mary Robinson Shourds, 72, of 3317 Millstone Circle, Owensboro, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson. The Ohio County native retired from Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital as a cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Her husband, James Shourds, died in 1980.

Survivors include a daughter, Anna Shourds of Owensboro; and a sister, Nora Christine Grant of Fordsville.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lamont Battee

Lamont Lavera Battee, 38, of Campbellsville, died Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Taylor County Regional Hospital.

He is survived by two sisters, Catherine Johnson of Campbellsville and Donna Battee of Hattisburg, Mississippi; 8 brothers, Paul (Louise) Johnson, Boyce Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Joseph Johnson all of Campbellsville, Ky., Lynwood Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Donny Ray Johnson of Lebanon, Kentucky, Daniel Johnson of Louisville, Kentucky, Raymond Battee of Hatissburg, Mississippi.

The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with cremation to follow.

Buchanan-Robinson and Percell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

ORCHARD HILL, Ga. -- Thomas H. Baker, 61, of Orchard Hill, formerly of Calhoun, died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, at his home. The Lawrenceburg, Tenn., native was a school teacher at Griffin-Spalding High School in Griffin, Ga. He was a member of Calhoun United Methodist Church and Duvall Masonic Lodge 6 of F&AM in Bardstown. A son, Charlie Baker, died on March 4, 1976.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary A. Baker; two sons, Tom Baker of Terre Haute, Ind., and Chris Baker of Zebulon, Ga.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Baker Floyd of Calhoun.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in Calhoun cemetery. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Masonic services are at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home by Vienna Lodge 423 of F&AM. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Calhoun United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Mike Grimes, P.O. Box 65, Calhoun, KY 42327.

Alma Cosand

Alma Cosand, 83, of Bowling Green, KY, died at 7:25 PM, Wednesday at her residence. Her funeral will be at Johnson~Vaughn~Phelps Funeral Home, Inc. May 12, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Rev. S. Richard Garden officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Bowling Green. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Johnson~Vaughn~Phelps Funeral Home, Inc. She was the wife of the late Ralph "Red" Cosand of Bowling Green, KY, daughter of the late Eliza Jane Kiykendall Hayes, and Vivian Bush Hayes; Survived by daughter, Donna Cosand of Bowling Green, KY, daughter, Debbie Krysmalskie of Marietta, GA, sister, Sharon Olinger of Warren, WI, sister Mary Sharp of Bowling Green, KY, sister Nelda Stahl of Bowling Green, KY, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Janet Clark Duncan

Janet Clark Duncan, 44, of Bowling Green, KY, died at 1:15 AM, Wednesday at The Medical Center @ Bowling Green. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with her husband Mr. Jeffrey Duncan and Rev. Donald Lawrence officiating. Burial will be at the Martinsville Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday June 2, 2001 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.

Mrs. Duncan was a daughter of the late, Mae Clifton Clark and Sterling Clark. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Duncan of Bowling Green, KY, daughter, Amber Duncan of Bowling Green, KY, daughter, Traci Duncan of Bowling Green, KY, sister, Ethel Perkins of Woodburn, KY and a niece.

Frank L. Hammond

WADESVILLE, Ind. -- Frank L. Hammond, 61, of Wadesville died Saturday, July 7, 2001, at his home from cancer. The Paoli, Ind., native was a member of Funkhouser American Legion Post 8 in Evansville and received a certificate of appreciation from Conrad Baker Foundation for his work on the old courthouse and jail in Evansville. He retired from Metro Tucking Co. in 1995 and enjoyed spot shooting.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Colleen Roth Hammond; three sons, Franklin Hammond, at home, and Mark Hammond and Josh Hammond, both of Evansville; four grandchildren; a nephew; and a niece.

Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, Ind. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Vista Care Hospice of Evansville.

Robert "Bob" Edwards, 78, of Bowling Green, KY, died at 10:39 AM, Saturday, June 9, 2001 at the Medical Center @ Bowling Green. His funeral will be at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at 10:30 A M with Father Jerry Riney officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. He was a son of the late: William Murray Edwards, Sr. and Marie Hughes Edwards. ROCKPORT, Ind. -- Joyce Dawson Yearby, 79, of Rockport died Monday, July 9, 2001, at her home from cancer. She was manager of Spencer County (Ind.) License Branch and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ferman Yearby Jr.; two sons, Ferman Yearby III and Ron Yearby, both of Rockport; a daughter, Gay Yearby-Williams of Eddyville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anita Heckel of Tell City, Ind.

Services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Youngblood Funeral Home in Chrisney, Ind. Burial will be in Sunset cemetery in Rockport. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Spencer County Hospice.

George W. Thiery Sr.

TELL CITY, Ind. -- George W. Thiery Sr., 78, of Tell City died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Bandon, Ind., native was a woodworker, a World War II Navy veteran, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include two sons, George Thiery of Evansville and Roger Thiery of Henderson; a daughter, Vicky McCoy of Louisa; two grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Thiery of Tell City; and a sister, Eva Falls of Lamar, Ind.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial with full military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 will be in St. Augustine Church cemetery in Leopold, Ind. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Augustine Church cemetery.

Thomas Bradley Varnell

CENTRAL CITY -- Thomas Bradley Varnell, 77, of Central City died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. The Muhlenberg County native retired from the track department from CSX Railroads and was a World War II veteran. His wife, Helen Varnell, died in 2000.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher Varnell of Watertown, Minn., and Jeffrey Varnell of Central City; two daughters, Lisa Donnelly of Demotte, Ind., and Kelly Ross of Lockport, Ill.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Betty Tudor and Ann Clemons, both of Central City.

Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Roberta Lamastus Kent, 49, of Bowling Green, KY, died at 10:42 PM, Sunday at her residence. Her funeral will be at Johnson~Vaughn~Phelps Funeral Home, Inc. May 8, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dennis Harris officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Bowling Green. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at Johnson~Vaughn~Phelps Funeral Home, Inc. She was a daughter of the late Marvin Wallace and Mildred Wallace of Bowling Green, KY who survives. Other Survivors include; son, Leon Lamastus of Bowling Green, KY, daughter, Stephanie Lamastus of Bowling Green, KY, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
