Lealon Arles Weaver
June 10, 1922 – July 31, 2011

Lealon Arles Weaver, age 89, died at his home July 31, 2011 in Scottsville, Ky. surrounded by family.

The Claypool, Ky. native was the son of the late Enoch Curtis Weaver and Winnie Grace Tabor Weaver, born to them in Gadsden, Alabama. He was a farmer and lover of the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his sister Emma Moulder and brother, Willard Weaver. A World War II veteran of the Coast Guard, he served his country in the Pacific Theater. Arles was a member of the Scottsville Baptist Church, the American Chestnut Foundation, the VFW and the Allen County Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Weaver, of Scottsville, three sons, Greg Weaver and wife Paula Phelps-Weaver, of Leipers Fork, Tn., Anthony Weaver and wife Frances, of Morehead, Ky., and Tommy Weaver of Talbott, Tn., 8 grandchildren and two sisters, Martha Miller, of Bowling Green, Ky., and Virginia Oliver, of Panama City Fl. A large extended family also survives.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM Tuesday at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Wednesday opening until 9 AM at the Funeral Home and 10 to 11 AM at the Scottsville Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11 AM Wednesday August 3, 2011 at the Scottsville Baptist Church with burial in the Crescent Hill cemetery.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Allen County Historical Society.

Athena Gale Boyken

LIVERMORE -- Athena Gale Boyken, 45, of Kodak, Tenn., formerly of McLean County, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at the Sevier County Medical Center in Sevierville, Tenn. The Daviess County native was a homemaker and a dog breeder.

Survivors include her husband, Henry "Hank" Wilson; a son, Jason Ray Thorp of Dallas; a stepson, Dale Wayne Wilson of Sevierville; a stepdaughter, Jackie Jean Geary of Holland, Mich.; her father, Jesse Ray Boyken of Zeeland, Mich.; her mother and stepfather, Louise and Warren Hall of Holland; two grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; a brother, Allen Ray Boyken of Dallas; a stepbrother, Mark Hall of Saugatuck, Mich.; and two stepsisters, Robin Bell and Kris Vandenyacth, both of Saugatuck.

Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Island Community cemetery in McLean County. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Island Community cemetery Fund, c/o J.D. Hardison, P.O. Margaret Napier Guy Dalton
March 24, 1923 – July 20, 2011

Margaret Guy Dalton, age 88, died Wednesday July 20, 2011 at her home in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Allen County native was the wife of the late Noel C. Dalton and the daughter of the late Forest Eugene Guy and Morris Keener Napier Guy. She was preceded in death by Forest Eugene Guy Jr., Morris Keener Guy, and Sarah Jean Compton. She was a charter member and current member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia and long time member of Eastern Star in Portsmouth, Virginia.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Dalton Welch and husband Mike G. Welch, two granddaughters, Sarah Noelle Welch and Catherine Elizabeth Welch, a great grandson Michael David Welch all of Huntsville, Al, and a sister Rebecca Guy Welch, Scottsville, Ky.

Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM Saturday July 23, 2011 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Crescent Hill cemetery at 10 AM Saturday July 23, 2011

Memorial Donations may be made to the Hospice, The Caring Place, Huntsville, Al. send locally to the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home for your convenience.

Blanche Durene Farley
October 22, 1921 – July 1, 2011

Blanche Durene Farley, age 89, died July 1, 2011 in Indiana.

The Holland native was the daughter of the late William W and Nora C. (Crisp) Farley. She is preceded in death by four sisters Ila B. Lawrence, Marie Hinant, Cleteous Wix, Louis Hire, two brothers Jimie D. Farley and Fred T. Farley, two nephews Gerald W. Hire and David M. Hire.

She is survived by one sister Nina E, Hire and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Although she never married or had children, Durene had a peaceful nature about her that could calm a crying baby. She also loved her home and her stuffed animals.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 12 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue.

Local visitation will be Thursday, July 14 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home until time of funeral at 2:00 PM.

James E. Hinton
27 May 2001

TELL CITY, Ind. -- James E. Hinton, 57, of Tell City died there Saturday, May 26, 2001, at his home of cancer. The Troy, Ind., native was an employee of the city of Tell City and had served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose 1424, American Legion Post 213, Tell City Volunteer Fire Department, Indiana Volunteer Fireman's Association and Leopold (Ind.) Conservation Club.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rosemary Keown Hinton; two sons, Jim "Himi" Hinton Jr. of Tell City and Brian Hinton of Tempe, Ariz.; a daughter, Lisa Hinton of Tell City; two grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Hinton of Owensboro.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City. Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery in Tell City, where American Legion Post 213 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. There will be a volunteer fire department walk-through at 6:30 p.m. today and a Moose Lodge memorial service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Lisa Hinton College Fund at Old National Bank or Perry County Memorial Hospital Home Health Hospice.

Jerry Eugene 'Hawk' Lewis
22 May 2001

MORTONS GAP -- Jerry Eugene "Hawk" Lewis, 53, of Mortons Gap died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. The Owensboro native worked at Davco Rest Home and Mr. Tuxedo and was a deacon, chairman of the board of deacons and financial officer at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Madisonville. He was a former member of Center Street Baptist Church and a former Pop Warner football coach.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Sharber Day Lewis; three daughters, Anita Johnson of Owensboro, Heather Owens of Lexington and LaQuita Swaney of Mortons Gap; five grandchildren; and three brothers, John Michael Lewis and Lee Evans Johnson, both of Owensboro, and the Rev. James L. Hughes of Clanton, Ala.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Madisonville. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial services are at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. McFarland Funeral Home in Owensboro is handling arrangements.

Bobbie Neighbors
30 May 2001

DALE, Ind. -- Bobbie Neighbors, 45, of Dale died there Monday, May 28, 2001, at his sister's home. The Huntingburg, Ind., native worked at Highland Hills Apartments in Evansville and graduated from Heritage Hills High School in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Bobbie Neighbors of Evansville; a brother, Jack Neighbors of Evansville; and two sisters, Vicky Litkenhus of Dale and Donna Preston of Evansville.

Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Richardson cemetery in Dale. Fuller Funeral Home and Crematory, Dale chapel handled arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the family, 305 Maple St., Dale, IN, 47523.

Geraldine “Gerlene” Lambert
June 3, 1936 – June 27, 2011

Geraldine “Gerlene” Lambert died Monday June 27, 2011 in Cincinnati Ohio.

The Allen County native was the wife of the late Killie Lambert and the daughter of the late Ezra Carter and Sadie Carter; she is preceded in death by two sons, William Lambert and James Lambert.

She is survived by one daughter Bonita Lester and husband Mack of Cincinnati OH, one son Morris Lambert of Louisville KY and one sister Erma McPeak of Scottsville. Six grandchildren and fourteen great-grand children also survive.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday July 1, 2011 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday July 2, 2011 at the New Community Fellowship Church (formerly Carters Tabernacle) with burial in the Carters Tabernacle cemetery.

Gale Wagoner
May 16, 1927 - June 27, 2011

Gale Wagoner, age 84, died Monday June 27, 2011 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, Ky.

The Castonville Maryland native was the wife of the late Herbert Lewis Wagoner and the daughter of the late Lewis L. Shinnamon and Hallie A. Shinnamon.

She is survived by one daughter Cynthia Gatson of Riverside CA, two sons William L. Wagoner of Bowling Green, Ky. and James K. Wagoner of Mt. Holly NJ, one brother Francis (Pete) A. Shainnamon of Catonsville MD, one sister Constance Knieriem of Greensboro NC, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held at 1:00 PM Friday July 1, 2011 at the Scottsville United Methodist Church.

Gertrude ‘Trudy” Marie Krampitz Borden
August 2, 1931 - June 19, 2011

Gertrude ‘Trudy” Marie Krampitz Borden, age 79, died Sunday June 19, 2011 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.

The Bristol, Connecticut native was the wife of the late Gordon Edward Borden and daughter of the late Fredrick and Leokadia Marie Krampitz. She was preceded in death by one daughter Eileen Leah Borden.

She is survived by one son Steve Borden and his wife Martha of Scottsville, KY, three daughters Edna Northrop, Lillian Routhier, Paula Bouchard and her husband Blaise all of Connecticut, one sister-in law Glenna Krampitz of Connecticut. Several grandchildren, great – grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Wednesday June 22, 2011 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday June 23, 2011 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Crescent Hill cemetery.

Harold C. 'Uncle' Stewart
31 May 2001

BEECH GROVE -- Harold C. "Uncle" Stewart, 80, of Beech Grove died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree. The McLean County native was a retired farmer, a Baptist, an Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his sister, Cova Tapp of Sebree; four half brothers, Edward Earl Stewart, Charles Stewart, J.C. Stewart and Paul Stewart, all of Utica; a half sister, Mary Griffin of Utica; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery in Beech Grove. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Bethel cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. W.T. Lee, 190 Smith St., Calhoun, KY 42327.

Robert Lee Norvell
June 28, 1914 - June 7, 2011

Robert Lee Norvell age 96, died June 7, 2011 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

The Barren County native was the husband of the late Almeada Elizabeth Martin Norvell and the son of the late Charles Elmore Norvell and Maude Miller Norvell. He was a member of the Halfrey Dalton Post #5712 VFW and DAV and Bowling Green American Legion. He was an United States Army veteran serving in WWII.

He is survived by one daughter Randy Waters Reed, two sons Ronnie Lee Norvell and Dwayne Gasper all of Scottsville, one sister Virginia Alexia Kraft of Bloomington IL, one grandson Donald Lee Waters and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 5:00 PM Thursday June 9, 2011 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday June 10, 2011 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union # 2 cemetery in the Nobob community of Barren County.

Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky.

Anthony Kerr

Funeral services for 18 year-old Anthony Kerr of Big Clifty will be held at 1pm, Thursday at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held after 10am, Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his father, Charles of Big Clifty, his mother Tamy Cannon (Brian), of Big Clifty, his brother, Christopher Aaron Kerr of Vine Grove, KY, his sister, Cassandra Gail Kerr of Big Clifty, his paternal grandmother, Jenetta Frazier of Leitchfield, his maternal grandfather, Carroll Ray Daugherty of West View, KY, his maternal grandmother and step grandfather Margo and Stan Bybee of Oregon and his step-maternal grandmother, Jerelene Daugherty of West View, KY.
