Survivors include her husband, Bernard V. Logsdon, one son, Bernard V. Logsdon Jr. (Cricket) of Ohio, one daughter, Tina Marie Jewell (Calvin) of Leitchfield, two brothers, Jesse Elmer Blain Jr. of Lexington and Denver Blain of Leitchfield, two grandchildren, Jessica and Cody Jewell of Leitchfield, three step-grandchildren, Dustin, Heather and Tiffany of Ohio.

Funeral services for 67 year-old Cordis Hayes of Beaver Dam will be held at at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Burial is in the Yeaman cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.

Survivors include, his friend, Mildred Bratcher, three sons, Timothy, Wayne, and Keith Hayes all of North Carolina, two daughters, Roseanna Hayes of Texas, and Angela Postma of North Carolina, six brothers, William and Johnny both of Beaver Dam, Robert of Rosine, KY, Louis and Phillip of Caneyville, KY and Milton of Hodgensville, KY, two sisters, Frances Johnson of Spring Lick, KY, and Janie Fisher of Horse Branch, KY, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by two sisters, Hazel Hayes and Mary Hayes, and one brother, Raymond.

LEXINGTON -- Goldia Abbott Davis, 73, of Lexington died there Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. The Wayne County native was a retired factory employee and a member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, John Robert Davis, and a daughter, Sharon Kay Davis.

Survivors include a son, Roger Wayne Davis of Owensboro; a daughter Penelope Ann Greenwell of Lexington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Noel Abbott of Louisville; and six sisters, Grace Taylor of Louisville, Anna Belle Vanover, Bertha Ball and Elvena Kidd, all of Stearns, Easter Adkins of New Richmond, Ohio, and Glendola Morgan of Chesapeake, Va.

Services are at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday at McCreary County Funeral Home in Whitley City. Burial will be in Mount Union cemetery in Keeno. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLEATON -- Merle Adcock, 70, of Cleaton died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. The Hopkins County native was a retired clerk from the Central City post office and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Bremen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Don Adcock, in January 2001.

Survivors include a son, Richard Adcock of Cleaton; a daughter, Rita Cornette of Cleaton; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Philip Johnson of Central City and James Johnson of Indiana; and a sister, Dorothy Mears of Indiana.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services for 88 year-old Evelyn Mudd will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include, six children, Ralph (Cathy) Mudd of Knottsville, John (Sue) Mudd, Martha (Leon) Hill and Sondra Burnett, all of Clarkson, Leo (Joyce) Mudd and Sister Anne Michelle Mudd OSU, both of Leitchfield; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Oct. 25, 1941 - Jan. 4, 2009

A memorial service for 67 year-old Virginia Barnard of Leitchfield will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Caneyville Baptist Church. Bro. Paul Childers officiating. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial. The Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include, two sons, Herbert Wade and Francis Marion Barnard both of Leitchfield, one daughter, Rhonda Mitchell of Leitchfield, four brothers, James and Ronald Broughton both of Leitchfield, Herbie Lee Broughton Jr. of Falls of Rough, and Charles Broughton of Corpus Christi, Texas, one sister, Elizabeth Bennett of Leitchfield, four grandchildren, Timothy, Robert, and Aaron Barnard, and Tyler Mullins all of Leitchfield, one great grandchild Dalton Cole of Louisville and one step great grandchild Briona Swank of Savannah, Georgia.

BREMEN -- Helen Beatrice McCay Divine Hawes, 82, of Bremen died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home. The Muhlenberg County native was a member of Mount Pigsah Baptist Church and choir and was past president of Muhlenberg County Baptist Association WMU. She was co-owner of Divine Lumber Co., and a graduate of Graham High School.

Survivors include her husband Andre L. Hawes; a son, Norman D. Divine of Central City; three daughters, Monna Fay Hayes of Sacramento, Linda D. Heltsley of Bremen and Nedra J. Divine of Greenville; a stepson, Andre L. "Andy" Hawes Jr. of Greenville; three stepdaughters, Mary Fields of Central City, Jo Ann Whitaker of Bremen and Vanessa Rule of Pembroke; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pigsah Baptist Church in Bremen. Burial will be in Mount Pigsah cemetery in Bremen. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

December 6, 1963 - December 30, 2009

Funeral services for 46 year-old Gloria Burnett will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (January 2, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Jim McIntosh will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Survivors include, her husband, Robert Burnett, three daughters, Bethany JoEllen Whitworth of Nashville, TN, Ashley Ellen Whitworth and Tabitha LeEllen Burnett both of Leitchfield, her mother, Margie Whobrey of Leitchfield and two brothers, Tony and Keith Whobrey both of Leitchfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Whobrey.

August 17, 1914 - December 28, 2009

Funeral services for 95 year-old Ernest Ferguson of Horse Branch will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday (December 31, 2009) at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Bro. George Hack will be officiating. Burial is in the Antioch cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the Oak Ridge Church.

Survivors include, two sons, Carlton (Doris) and Carlis (Carol) Ferguson, both of Horse Branch, two daughters, Kathleen (Linden) Smith of Morgantown, and Charlene (Bob) Sexton of Louisville. He was preceded in death by his wife Mamie Coy, two grandchildren, Kevin Crowder, and Lora Smith one great great grandchild, Tildon Cooper.

CUSTER -- Ruby Hoskinson, 95, of Custer died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at Breckinridge Memorial Nursing Facility in Hardinsburg. The Breckinridge County native was a housewife and member of Custer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Eva Robinson of Custer, three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial will be in Custer cemetery. Visitation is from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for 60 year-old Jean Grant of Clarkson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (December 31, 2009) at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday and at 8:00 a.m. Thursday at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home in Clarkson with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include, her husband, David Grant; a son, Eric (Monica) Grant of Clarkson; a daughter, Julie (Jason) Cox of Owensboro; grandchildren, Chloe and Maggie Cox of Owensboro, Jordan and Natalie Grant of Clarkson; brothers, James (Barbara) Darst and Roger (Martha) Darst of Louisville, Larry (Cathy) Darst of Leitchfield and Robert (Martina) Darst Jr. of Benton; sisters, Gerry Block and Catherine (Frank) Gawarecki of St. Paul and Beulah (Raymond) Whitfill of Louisville.

Funeral services for 64 yea-old Priscilla Lee Varner of Leitchfield will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday (Feb. 16, 2012) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Vester Decker officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial cemetery in Millwood. Visitation will be held after 11:00 p.m., Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include, her husband, James Varner of Leitchfield, her daughter, Kelly Jean Cook (Steve Beck) of Louisville, two sisters, Linda Newton (Coy) of Blowtown & Sharon Seitz (Ronald ) of Kenton, OH, two brothers, Eulas Meredith of Leitchfield & Mendel Meredith (Judy) of Blowtown, and four grandchildren, Brandon Warren, Kirstie Craddock, Kyle Craddock, & Lillian Beck all of Louisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo & Golda Salling Meredith, five brothers, Alvin, Dale, Alton, Charles, & James Meredith, and two sisters, Betty Pfeiffer & Anna Mae Johnson.

A memorial service for 27 year-old Adam Snell of Leitchfield will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday (Feb. 18, 2012) at the Wilson Home General Baptist Church in Caneyville with Brother Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial.

Survivors include, his wife Courtney of Leitchfield, his mother Teri Darnell (Hugh) of Caneyville, his father Mike Wilkerson of Leitchfield, one brother Nathaniel Wilkerson and one sister Jordan Wilkerson both, one step-brother Nickolas Darnell and one step-sister Kaylin Darnell all of Leitchfield, his grandparents Dewey J. and Bonnie Bratcher of Caneyville and Sherman Wilkerson of Leitchfield, great grandparents Lee and Juanita Cravens of Shepherdsville, two nephews Bradin and Blake Burden of Leitchfield.

Funeral services for 56 year-old Ellen Decker of Leitchfield will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday (Mar. 20, 2012) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Sweeden cemetery. Visitation will be held after 1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include, her daughter, Teri Lee Miller (Wilbur) of Leitchfield, her parents, Elmer & Shirley Sanders of Louisville, two sisters, DebbieWhittle (Danny) of Park City & Joni Reichart (Jamie) of Florida, two brothers, Buddy Sanders of Louisville & Earnest "Corky" Sanders (Michelle) of Clarkson, and one granddaughter, Terren Anne Decker of Leitchfield. Survivors include, his wife, Patty Grant Bratcher, his son, Ryan Bratcher of Leitchfield, his parents, Glenn and Laverne Bratcher of Leitchfield, his brother, Kevin Bratcher of Leitchfield, five nieces and nephews and a large extended family and many friends.

KNOTTSVILLE -- Barbara Jean Robbins, 60, of Knottsville died there Thursday, May 24, 2001, at her home. The Tarentum, Pa., native was a member of St. William's Catholic Church in Knottsville and enjoyed spending time with her children and family, playing bunco and bingo and working in her garden.

Survivors include three sons, James Robbins of Owensboro, Kevin Robbins of Quartz Hill, Calif., and Joseph Robbins of Lancaster, Calif.; two daughters, Deanna Robbins of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Denise Huff of Maceo; 11 grandchildren; and a sister, Joann Truffa of Chefwick, Pa.

Memorial services are at 1 p.m. Monday at St. William's Catholic Church in Knottsville. Burial will be in St. William's cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. William's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Merritt Thomas Fields, daughters, Lilly & Sumer Rain, son, Thomas Drake Fields, parents, Gloria Stevenson and David Blanton, maternal grandparents, Charles E. "Hawkeye" and Mary L. Stevenson and step-father, Robert Meredith.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help with the cost of funeral expenses.

HARTFORD -- Altie Mae Daugherty, 90, of Centertown died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. The Butler County native was a member of Liberty Lighthouse Church of God and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison C. Daugherty, in 1970; and a son, Harrison C. Daugherty Jr., in 1971.

Survivors include a son, Freeman Daugherty of Hartford; three daughters, Lenora Daugherty of Centertown, Virginia Brooks of Taylorville, Ill., and Beth Parrish of Hartford; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Essie Lawrence of Brooklyn and Rachel Goff and Helen Henderson, both of Cromwell.

Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Hartford. Burial will be in Centertown cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today after 9 a.m. Monday at Duke-Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Hartford.
