Ann K. Seyberth, 84, of Ft. Thomas, died at 12:02 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, John George Seyberth, and a son, Paul Alvin Seyberth, both died in 1971.

Survivors include daughters, Joyce Smith of Ft. Thomas and Joann Smallwood of Monroe, Ohio; a son, Richard A. Seyberth of Milford, Ohio; brothers, Paul Seifert of Ormand Beach, Fla., and John Seifert of Highland Heights; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Seyberth's body was donated to the University of Cincinnati Medical College. Dobbling Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, is handling arrangements.

William A. Shelton, 83, of Cincinnati, died Monday at his home. He was a retired punch press operator with Steelcraft Corp., Cincinnati, and a member of New Life Ministries Church, Newport.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Shelton; stepsons, Ronald Rowland and William Rowland, both of Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Patricia Chamberlain of Cincinnati; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Radel Funeral Home, Highland Heights. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Sorrell, 85, of Sandpoint, Idaho, formerly of Covington, died Sept. 26 at Mountainside Care Center in Sandpoint. She was a former nurse's aide at Booth Memorial Hospital, Covington, and a home health-care worker in Enid, Okla. Her husband, Everett Arnold Sorrell, died in 1944. A son, Joseph Sorrell, died as an infant. Another son, Ken Sorrell, died in 1996.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Little of Covington; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in New port, Wash., is handling arrangements.

Barbara Joyce Releford Tolliver, 58, of Independence, died Saturday in Sevierville, Tenn., in an auto accident. She was a homemaker and a member of Banklick Street Church of God. Her first husband, Ewing L. Releford, died in 1983. Her second husband, Charles P. Tolliver, died April 22.

Survivors include sons, Lee Releford of Independence, Mike Releford of Covington and Dwayne Releford of Florence; daughters, Annette Baker of Independence and Evonne Cotton of Crittenden; brothers, Clarence Sturdivant of Corbin and Roger Sturdivant of Dry Ridge; sisters, Janet Roland, Betty Howard and Dale Matlock, all of Independence; six stepchildren, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, 11 step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Peach Grove Cemetery, Campbell County.

Owen Douglas Whittle, the son of Doug and Suzanne White Whittle of Independence, died hours after birth Sept. 20 at University Hospital, Cincinnati.

Survivors include a sisters, Madeline Whittle, at home; a stepsister, Bridgette Whittlesey, at home; a stepbrother, Austin Whittlesey, at home; and his grandparents, Marjorie White of Haines City, Fla., and Paul Whittle of Ft. Thomas.

Mass of Angels will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Church in Ft. Thomas. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas. Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Ft. Thomas, is handling arrangements.

Falmouth's Lawrence Moore, mechanic

He experienced both the joys and perils of living in his hometown of Falmouth.

Lawrence Albert Moore, partner of Bertram's Auto Service at Second and Main streets, was well-known and liked in the small Pendleton County community.

Like his neighbors, he shared in their tragedy when the great Flood of '97 washed over his business this spring. He and his partner, Henry Bertram, lost everything, said Mr. Moore's daughter, Debbie Taylor of Falmouth.

"He was very happy-go-lucky," she said. "But the flood was hard on him."

Mr. Moore, 57, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas.

He was a mechanic who could fix practically anything, from cars to lawn mowers to chain saws, his daughter said.

After the flood, his partner opened Licking Valley Casting Co. in Falmouth and Mr. Moore worked there, Ms. Taylor said.

In his spare time, Mr. Moore enjoyed fishing and golfing.

"You could give him a fishing pole and river and he was very content," his daughter said.

Mr. Moore served in the Navy for four years and was in the Kentucky National Guard for two years.

He was a member of St. Xavier Church in Falmouth.

Other survivors include his wife, Betty Wagner Moore; another daughter, Angie Helfrich of Ludlow; a stepson, Paul Marks of Felicity, Ohio; brothers, Thomas A. Moore of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Michael S. Moore of Falmouth; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Carroll E. Barth, 61, of Brookfield, Ill., formerly of Silver Grove, died Tuesday at Columbia LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange, Ill.

He was a retired manager with Burlington Northern Railroad in Brookfield.

Survivors include his wife, Leslee Barth; sons, Steve Barth of Brookfield, Tim Barth of Streamwood, Ill., and Brian Barth of Kansas City, Kan.; a daughter, Sandra Anderson of Lyons, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.

Walter L. Bennett, 76, of Ludlow, died at 2 a.m. Monday at Hilltop Nursing Home, Cincinnati.

He was a retired Kenton County jailer and a member of First Baptist Church of Ludlow. He also was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Maxine Bennett, died in 1989. A daughter, Sheryll White , died in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Walter A. Bennett of Cincinnati; a daughter, Sondra Lee Hascher of Bradenton, Fla.; and a brother, Glenn Rastetter of Los Angeles; and one grandchild.

Services will be at noon Friday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Walter L. Bennett Memorial Fund, in care of Huntington Bank, 300 Elm St., Ludlow, 41016.

Julia Ann Shauntee Crawford, 69, of Cincinnati, formerly of Covington, died Tuesday at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati.

Survivors include daughters, Anita L. Turner, Cheryl A. Roach and Cynthia A. Williams, all of Cincinnati; sons, Christopher A. Crawford and Michael A. Crawford, both of Cincinnati; her mother, Louise Shauntee of Cincinnati; sisters, Mary Madison, Theresa Rush and Ida Wilson, all of Cincinnati; 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Church, Cincinnati. Visitation will be there from 10 a.m. to time of Mass Saturday. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati. Jones and Simpson Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

Mildred Hergott, 78, of Florence, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Clifford Hergott, died in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Dale Hergott of Taylor Mill; sisters, Ruth Davis of Erlanger and Harriet Shomaker of Southgate; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 1885 Dixie Highway, Suite 250, Ft. Wright 41011. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere, is handling arrangements.

Earl Walden Johnson, 66, of Foster, died Tuesday at Columbia Hospital, Maysville. He was a retired inspector with General Motors in Norwood, Ohio, and a veteran of the Korean War. His first wife, Juanita Hilderbrand Johnson, died in 1953. His second wife, June Linville Johnson, died in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Poe Johnson; sons, Donald Earl Johnson of Mt. Sterling and Earl Walden Johnson Jr. of Augusta; daughters, Linda Carol Manning of Leesburg, Fla., and Teresa Diane Jett of Foster; a stepdaughter, Shawnna Michelle Sharp of Foster; a stepson, Barry Trent Curtis Sr. of California, Ky.; a brother, James R. Johnson of Batavia, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Germantown. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

Charles D. Jones, 83, of Vevay, Ind., formerly of Gallatin County, died Wednesday at Kings Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Ind. He was a farmer and a former employee of Big Burley Tobacco Warehouse, Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Jones; daughters, Hazel Turner of Morefield, Ind., and Audrey Bosaw of Vevay, Ind.; sons, Ronald Jones of Cleveland, Tenn., Donald Jones of Madison, Ind., David Jones and Calvin Jones, both of Vevay, Ind., and Melvin Jones of Morefield, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Switzerland County Emergency Squad, 809 E. Main St., Vevay, Ind. 47043.

Edna Foster Moore, 87, of Erlanger, died Wednesday at Rosedale Manor Nursing Home, Covington. She was a retired cake decorator with Ludlow Bakery and a member of Florence United Methodist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Jeanine Scholz of Chesapeake, Va., and Janice McKinney of Erlanger; sons, Robert Moore of Elsmere and Dennis Moore of Laredo, Texas ; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are sug gested to the nursing home or Levassor Daycare Center.

Violet Shanklin Perkins, 87, of Ronceverte, W.Va., formerly of Walton, died Monday at Columbia Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, W.Va.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Lucille Reese Swann, 86, of Ft. Thomas, died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home. She was a seamstress with Hyde Park Clothing Co. Her husband, Lynn Truitt, died in 1971.

Survivors include nieces, Connie Mirick of Bellevue and Nor ma Bishop of Paris, Ky.; and a nephew, Johnny Bell of Taylor Mill.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bracken Memorial Cemetery, Brooksville. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue.

Patrick A. Wegford, 46, of Burlington, died Wednesday at his home. He was a warehouseman with Redken Laboratories Inc., Kenton County, and a member of Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church. He was a member of Moose Lodge of Covington.

Ferguson Wegford; stepsons, Jim Rider and Jeff Rider, both of Burlington; stepdaughters, Gina Ray of Florence and Tricia Bray of Louisville; and brothers, Arda Wegford and Williams Wegford, both of Covington, and Stanley Wegford of Erlanger; and a sister, Evelyn Wegford of Covington.
