Albert Lee Yates, 86, of Florence, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West in Florence. He was a retired civil engineer and an artist.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Mae Farley Yates; a son, Richard C. Yates of Milwaukee; a daughter, Barbara Schatzel of North Port, Fla.; a sister, Carolyn Fountain of Greenville, Ill.; stepsons, Wad Loftin and Ronald Loftin, both of Phoenix; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to Salvation Army, 114 E. Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45210.

G. Hollenkamp inspired kids

In the last 11 years of Guy Fredrick Hollenkamp's life, he did all the things a man should.

He worked for the Huntington Bank of Northern Kentucky as vice president of commercial banking. He attended his children's track and swim meets, football games and karate tournaments.

He also survived 10 major operations, including a kidney transplant in 1992.

"He is the prime example of how you live life with passion," said his son, Matt Hollenkamp, the oldest of four children. "We would go on vacations, and I know he was sick, having to be on dialysis. But he'd go anyway, and just will us to enjoy life."

Mr. Hollenkamp, 48, of Edgewood, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he was waiting to receive a liver transplant.

He instilled in his four children the importance of responsibility, friendship, and love for life, his son said.

"He'd always give me perfect advice," said Matt Hollenkamp, a senior at Northern Kentucky University.

Mr. Hollenkamp was a volunteer for the United Way and a member of the NKU Alumni Association.

Other survivors include his wife, Chris Hollenkamp; sons, Drew Hollenkamp and Kyle Hollenkamp, and a daughter, Megan Hollenkamp, at home; his mother, Eleanor Hollenkamp of Florence; brothers, Gary Hollenkamp of West Chester, Ohio, Greg Hollenkamp of Erlanger and Glenn Hollenkamp of Louisville; and sisters, Gail Stiltner of Florence and Gaye Eubanks of Edgewood.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church, Edgewood. Visitation will be after the mass in the church undercroft and 3 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger.

Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, 2330 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati 45206, or Fernside Center for Grieving Children, 2303 Indian Mound Ave., Cincinnati, 45212.

Kathleen Beach Anness, 78, of Warsaw, died at 2:35 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a member of Vine Run Baptist Church, Dry Ridge, and a blanking press operator for Lit-Ning Products Division of Hunt Manufacturing Co., Florence.

Survivors include her husband, Newt E. Anness; sons, Wayne Lafferty of Lebanon, Ohio, and Ken Lafferty of Willis, Texas ; a brother, Harrison Beach of Dry Ridge; a sister, Lillian Shell of St. Bernard, Ohio; stepsons, Al Anness of Florence and Allen Anness of Elsmere; a stepdaughter, Sadie Harris of Hebron; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, with visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Vine Run Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Beverly Jean Booker, 53, of Walton, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati. She was a homemaker. A daughter, Judy Lynn Booker, died in 1977.

Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Booker; a daughter, Judy Booker of Florence; a son, Robert Booker of Walton; her mother, Edith R. Dunn of Erlanger; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence, with visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger.

Harry H. Breisacher, 56, of Lexington, died Thursday in an auto accident. He was employed in banking and was a member of Sparta Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Natalie McDaniel of Worthville and Jennifer Trame of New Liberty; a son, Travis Breisacher of Napoleon; a sister, Carlene Davis of Owenton; seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Carlton-Louder Funeral Home, Warsaw, with visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Warsaw Cemetery.

Dennis R. Clark, 19, of Elsmere died Monday in an auto accident. He was a delivery man for Peg's in Florence.

Survivors include parents, Victoria and Samuel Williams; brothers, James Clark and Clyde "Pete" Clark, both of Elsmere; sisters Lois McCoon, Brenda Funk and Hope Williams, all of Elsmere; and grandparents, Elizabeth Cox of Elsmere, Gladys Williams of Cincinnati and Ephiram Williams of Corbin.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at Hall-Jordan Funeral Home, Cincinnati, with visitation at 4 p.m. and burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati.

Gary Lynn Florence, 29, of Erlanger, died Thursday at his home. He was a forklift operator with Camco company, Florence.

Survivors include his mother, Rozanna Florence of Morning View; a brother, Steven R. Florence of Cincinnati; and a sister, Theresa Horton of Hebron.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge, with visitation at noon. Burial will be in Broadridge Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Geneva Gray, 70, of Morning View, died at 12:35 a.m. Friday at her home. She was a homemaker, a member of Kento-Boo Baptist Church, Florence, a member of Florence Order of the Eastern Star Chapter and a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Her husband, Earl O. Gray, died in 1987, and a son, Allen Gray, died in 1981.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Kelly of Union, Myra Bradley of Covington and Laura Lee of Erlanger; sons, Lary Gray of Piner and Carlos Gray of Independence; sisters, Betty Jenkins and Sheila Basile of Versailles, Mary Nunn of Lexington and Phyllis Florence of Cynthiana; a brother, Donald Henderson of Versailles; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Charles Eugene Hargis Sr., 71, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana. He was an employee for Grede Perm Cast Inc. and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include sons, Herman Logan Hargis of Tennessee, and Charles Eugene Hargis Jr. of Danville; daughters, Elizabeth Fay Jamison of Harrison County and Vickie K. Stakelin of Cynthiana; a brother, Hubert Hargis of Somerset; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, Cynthiana. . Memorials are suggested to the Harrison County Recreation Fund. Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana, is handling arrangements.
