Charles R. 'Charlie' Duneghy

Charles R. "Charlie" Duneghy, 49, of Owensboro died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Owensboro native worked at the Opportunity Center Workshop. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and the Owensboro Civitan. He enjoyed Special Olympics, bowling, Camp Marc and socializing with friends.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Duneghy of Owensboro; five brothers, James L. Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas J. Duneghy of San Diego, Carroll E. Duneghy and Langston H. Duneghy, both of San Francisco, and Hugh M. Duneghy of Evansville; five sisters, Verna L. Johnson, Jorene D. Goodwin, Sylvia D. Reed and Phoebe D. James, all of Owensboro, and Marianne D. Williams of Desoto, Texas; and several nephews and nieces.

Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. McFarland Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.

Gregory L. Reisz

CHRISNEY, Ind. -- Gregory L. Reisz, 81, of Chrisney died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church, Rockport American Legion Post 254 and former commander of Chrisney Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Army 2nd Armored Division veteran of the World War II European Theater, former president of National Farmers Organization and a self-employed coal leasing consultant.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Louise Reisz; six sons, Gregory Reisz Jr. of Evansville, Stanley Reisz of Philpot, William Reisz of Huntingburg, Ind., Kevin Reisz of Jasper, Ind., Mark Reisz of Tell City, Ind., and Jonathon Reisz of Santa Claus, Ind.; five daughters, Reba Flaim of Owensboro, Madonna Reisz of Bell Buckle, Tenn., Rhonda Caldwell of Bloomington, Ind., Elizabeth Winkler of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Marian D. Renshaw of Hashbrouck Heights, N.J.; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Leonard Reisz of Owensboro; and five sisters, Sister Mary Reisz of Bardstown, Margaret Payne of Rockport, Ind., Martha Snyder of Chrisney, Joan Reisz of Owensboro and Nancy Harpenau of Tell City.

Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martins Catholic Church in Centerville, Ind. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Norbert A. Limbach

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Norbert A. Limbach, 70, of Boca Raton, formerly of Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at his home. The Owensboro native retired from Inland Steel and graduated from St. Francis Academy in 1950.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Lois Hayden Limbach; two sons, Paul Limbach and Roger Limbach; two daughters, Nancy Rolls and Susan Garrison; six grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Limbach.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 16, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Kraeer Funeral Home in Boca Raton was in charge of arrangements.

Lucille Thompson Peak

CALHOUN -- Lucille Thompson Peak, 81, of Calhoun died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of Glenville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school was president of the Missionary Society, and enjoyed volunteering in the community, traveling and organizing family and school reunions. She was a member of Glenville Homemakers and vice president of McLean County Homemakers.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Adrian Peak; a son, David Adrian Peak of Glenville; a daughter, Ronda Peak Hawes of Marion, Iowa; four granddaughters, a great-grandson; two brothers, Tilford Thompson of Pleasant Ridge and Gene Thompson of Robinson, Ill.; and a sister, Amy Neubaurer of Owensboro.

Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Glenville Baptist Church in Utica. Burial will be in Calhoun cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro and after 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Missionary Society of Glenville Baptist Church, 10517 Kentucky 81, Utica, KY 42376.

Donald Clarence Maloney
24 November 2001

Donald Clarence Maloney, 83, of 2029 York Drive, Owensboro, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Owensboro. The Detroit native was a sales manager in clothing manufacturing. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. He was past exault ruler of the Redford Elks and enjoyed bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leora Maloney, in 1994; and a daughter, Phyllis Lynn Maloney.

Survivors include his wife, VIrginia Burden Maloney; two sons, Donald Lee Maloney of Florida and Robert K. Maloney of Michigan; two granddaughters; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Rosehill Chapel of Peace. Burial will be in Rosehill-Garden of Valor cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a favorite charity.

Dorothy Nell Marksberry Roberts
9 December 2001

Dorothy Nell Marksberry Roberts, 65, of Philpot died Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Leisure Years Nursing Home. The Daviess County native had worked at Wee Peoples Nursery for eight years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, helping others and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Thomas Hampton Roberts, died April 28, 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Scott Roberts of Owensboro and Danny Ray Roberts of Philpot; a daughter, Debbie Kay Martin of Philpot; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; a brother, Fred Marksberry of Philpot; and five sisters, Wilma Roberts, Edna Mae Henderson and Helen Roberts, all of Philpot, Marie Wilson of Pleasant Ridge and June Embry of Owensboro.

Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Providence United Methodist Church in Philpot. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Shirley Irene Francies

ELKTON -- Shirley Irene Francies, 60, of Elkton died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at her home following a lengthy illness. The Kinkade, Ill., native was a member of Westside Church of Christ, Alan Jackson Fan Club and provided home care for the elderly. She enjoyed fishing, Dachshund dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Martin Jr. of Elkton and Robert William Robinson of Springfield, Tenn.; a daughter, Paula Martin Lamar of Owensboro; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Tommy Laughlin and Larry Laughlin.

Services are at 1 p.m. today at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. Burial will be in France cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to National Down Syndrome Society.

Edith Gillespie Moore

CENTRAL CITY -- Edith Gillespie Moore, 54, of Central City died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She worked at Flynn Corp.

Survivors include her husband, Michael R. Moore; three sons, Bobby Williams of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Reed of Fordsville and Michael Moore of Bremen; four daughters, Kelly Warner of Loves Park, Ill., Michelle Moore of Bremen, Monica Moore of Greenville and Destiny Moore of Central City; six grandchildren; a brother, Robert Gillespie of Stockton, Ohio; and a sister, Anna Maye of Stockton.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Roy L. Goodman

Roy L. Goodman, 69, of 2107 Keenland Parkway, Owensboro, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his home. The Owensboro native retired from Commonwealth Aluminum Co., was vice president of Colony Mobile Estates Association and attended Yellow Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Craig Goodman; a son, Ray Goodman of Owensboro; three stepsons, Robert Craig, William Craig and Curtis Craig, all of Owensboro; a daughter, Debbie Alvey of Owensboro; a stepdaughter, Vanessa Jones of Lewisport; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Goodman and Marvin Goodman, both of Louisville; and two sisters, Jane Myers of Masonville and Anna Hensley of Louisville.

Services are at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.

Joseph B. Millay
27 November 2001

Joseph B. Millay, 87, of 808 Ford Ave., Owensboro, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native retired from Brunswick Corp. and was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. He played baseball with a St. Louis Cardinals farm team, enjoyed athletics and was a member of Owensboro Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a Kentucky Colonel. A son, William Thomas Millay, died in 1949.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Janice B. Cooke Millay; two sons, Berkeley Millay of Atlanta and William Millay of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia Hurd of White Salmon, Wash.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward Millay of Evansville; and a sister, Dorothy Weigele of Evansville.

Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Catholic Church in Owensboro. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice Association, St. Vincent DePaul of Immaculate Catholic Church or HELP Office.

Jane W. Kellems
4 December 2001

TELL CITY, Ind. -- Jane W. Kellems, 89, of Tell City died there Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. The Cloverport native retired from General Electric in Tell City and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the church Altar Society. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 2939, American Legion Auxiliary 213 and enjoyed flowers, gardening and playing cards. She was preceded in death by a son, William Snyder.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Francis Kellems; three daughters, Mary Leisner and Betty Bryant, both of Tell City, Ruby Yoakum of Boonville, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services are at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold, Ind. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Derby, Ind. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. EST Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City. Prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. VFW memorial services are at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Mary's cemetery.
