BEAVER DAM - Lana Mae Raley Edmonds, 53, of Beaver Dam died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Ohio County to Ellis Raley and Pauline McCoy. She was a homemaker and member of Green River Baptist Church near Cromwell.

Survivors include her companion, Arthur Haynes of Beaver Dam; a daughter, Jeri Lanae Keeling of Beaver Dam; a brother, Richard Raley of Rosine; and three grandchildren.

Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Private burial will be in Rosine cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Betty Lou O'Bannon

CENTRAL CITY - Betty Lou O'Bannon, 61, of Central City died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was a homemaker and member of Richardson General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Perry Ray O'Bannon and Timothy Lee O'Bannon; four daughters, Marie Cathers, Mary Margaret Brown, Tonya Smith and Carrie Holland; her mother, Pearl Marie Ferguson; two brothers, Tommy Woods and Bobby Woods; and two sisters, Thelma Hampton and Shirley Warner.

Services: 2 p.m. today at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Burial: Rose Hill cemetery in Central City.

Juanita Pendley

MORGANTOWN - Juanita Pendley, 84, of Morgantown died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born in Butler County and was a housewife and member of Big Muddy Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar H. Pendley; her parents, Azro Dixon Clark and Fannie Ann Floyd; and a son, David Pendley.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Bartlett and husband, Roy, of Hartford and Norma Dean Edmonds and husband, Melvin, of Island; a brother, Granvill Clark and wife, Gladys, of Livermore; six grandchildren, Glen Bartlett of Owensboro, Melissa Drake of Olaton, Troy and Roy Phillips of Sacramento, John Pendley of Scottsville and Robert Pendley of Lafayette, Tenn.; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 24, at Smith Funeral Home in Morgantown. Burial will be in Sandy Creek cemetery in Morgantown. Visitation is after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles E. Woodall

MUHLENBERG COUNTY - Charles E. Woodall, 95, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at 12:29 p.m. in Muhlenberg Community Hospital long term care facility. He was born in Muhlenberg County on Oct. 31, 1908, the son of George William Woodall and Sarah Gossett Woodall. A lifelong resident of Muhlenberg County, he was a carpenter by trade. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during World War II. He was a member of Graham Union Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Woodall; and a son, Franklin Dean Woodall.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 3 p.m. at Gary's Funeral Home, by the Rev. Paul Drury. Burial will be in Corley's Chapel cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Rondal (Donna) Woodall of Greenville and Harold Koon of Bremen; two sisters, Hallie (Earl) Brown and Ruby Noffsinger, all of Central City; five grandchildren, Rhonda Kay (Terry) Noffsinger, Sherry (Terry) Brown, Mark (Kim) Woodall, Kim (Chad) Clark and Krista (Ken) White; and six great-grandchildren, Spenser, Chase, Baker, Hannah, Cameron and Jackson.

Friends may call today, Aug. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Allen Rowe Bryant

SEMIWAY - Allen Rowe Bryant, 88, of Semiway died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun. Allen Rowe Bryant was born Oct. 19, 1915, in Semiway to the late George and Minnie Bryant. He was a 1933 graduate of the former Calhoun High School and was later married to the former Elizabeth Taylor on April 26, 1947. He was a retired farmer and a member of Calhoun United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gordon and Ann Bryant of Princeton, N.J., and Ken Bryant of Dixon, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Allen Bryant and Douglas Bryant, both of Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel, with the Rev. Ken Berggren officiating. Burial will be in New Cypress cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with the Bryant family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Bryant family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to New Cypress cemetery Fund, c/o Mrs. Wilma Nall, 4522 Kentucky 81 South, Rumsey, KY 42371 or Calhoun United Methodist Church, Building Fund, P.O. Box 65, Calhoun, KY 42327. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.

Dorothy Camp

CLOVERPORT - Dorothy Camp, 74, of Cloverport died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, James R. Camp; four sons, Jim Camp, Greg Camp, Mike Camp and Mark Camp; two daughters, Ruth Basham and Molly Dudgeon; three brothers, C.E. "Buddy" Elliott, Jack Elliott and Steve Elliott; and three sisters, Phyllis Hettis, Eloise Patterson and Sue Richard.

Memorial Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Vigil prayers: 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Larry Coakley

SACRAMENTO - Larry Coakley of Sacramento died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at his home. He was a retired miner from Peabody Coal Mines, Group 2, in Morganfield and attended Knobbs Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Coakley; two daughters, Sherrie Sheets and Christie Woodburn; and three brothers, Gerald Coakley, R.C. Coakley and Hugh Coakley.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial: Calhoun cemetery in McLean County. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Darrell Embry

CLOVERPORT - Darrell Embry, 62, of Cloverport died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Embry; a daughter, Janice E. Johnson; a stepson, Keith Bickett; and a brother, Paul Embry.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home in Cloverport. Burial: Fort Knox. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Essie Mae Hill Hardison

GREENVILLE - Essie Mae Hill Hardison, 102, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 22, 2004, at 12:20 p.m. in Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Muhlenberg County on March 2, 1902, the daughter of John Wesley Hill and Grace Caskey Hill. She lived at 521 Green Drive in Greenville. She was a member of Lone Star General Baptist Church and was an employee of Muhlenberg Community Hospital for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Ray Hardison; and three sons, Gilbert Junior Hardison, Walter Ray (Tootie) Hardison and Billy Hill Hardison.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 2 p.m. from Gary's Funeral Home by Mr. Bob Lewis and the Rev. Joe Pharris. Burial will be in Lone Star cemetery in Weir.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Delvania (Bob) Johnson of Owensboro; a son, Jerry (Judy) Hardison of Glasgow; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Hale and Mrs. Elizabeth Sherrod, both of Greenville.

Friends may call today, Aug. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Geneva Carter McCormick

HARTFORD - Geneva Carter McCormick, 90, of 341 Beulah Church Road, Hartford, died at 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at home. She was born July 30, 1914, in Centertown to the late Eliza James Carter and Effie B. Tooley. She was a homemaker and formerly employed at General Electric in Owensboro for eight years. She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Beaver Dam and an avid quilter. She was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Franklin McCormick, in 1956.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin "Ben" F. McCormick in Hartford; a son, Carl T. McCormick and his wife, Sandra "Sandy," of Baltimore; a daughter, Marvadean Barrow and her husband, W.H. "Bill," of Hartford; two grandsons, Bobby Wayne Taylor of Owensboro and Michael McCormick of Panama City, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-child; and a sister, Anna Tinsley of Livermore.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Calkins officiating. Visitation is at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Beulah Church cemetery in Hartford. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Ohio County, 1211 Main St., Hartford, KY 42347.

Ruby Mae Miller

BEAVER DAM - Ruby Mae Miller, 62, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at her home. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Miller; a son, Terry Bartlett; a daughter, Patricia Ballard; and two sisters, Annie Hamilton and Shirley Ballard.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial: Sunnyside cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
