The Rev. Ted Lewis Shipp

FORT WRIGHT - The Rev. Ted Lewis Shipp, 54, of Fort Wright died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at his home. He was the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church in Latonia. His church membership lies within the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church in Louisville. He had served on the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church for 25 years, since 1980. The church was his whole life. His mother, Martha Shultz Shipp, died in December 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Ella Grace Shipp of Owensboro; a son, Sam Shipp of Owensboro; his father, Dr. Charles J. Shipp of Greenville; and a sister, Barbara Ruffalo of Sarasota, Fla.

A celebration of his life will take place at 10:30 a.m. EST Sunday, Sept. 25, at Trinity United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery in Greenville. Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund or Shipp Children Education Fund, 101 E. Southern Ave., Latonia, KY 41015.

Paul Junior Dennis

Paul Junior Dennis, 78, of 2020 Stonewall Court, Owensboro, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at his home. Mr. Dennis was a retired wholesale milk driver for Velvet Milk Co. and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Dawson Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his children, Paul Michael Dennis of Owensboro, Phillip Wayne Dennis of Knottsville, Bonnie Kay Roller of Lexington and Stephen Howard Dennis of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren Jeremy, Kenneth, Andrea, Bobby Dennis and Christie and Julie Foster; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Cooper of New Albany, Ind.

Funeral services for Mr. Dennis will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clear Run Baptist cemetery in Ohio County.

Frances Savellia Epison

Frances Savellia Epison, 79, of 2313 W. Eighth St., Owensboro, died at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at her home. She was born on Sept. 24, 1925, in Daviess County to Lloyd Hamilton and Idella Gains Hamilton. She was a homemaker and member of St. Stephen Cathedral. She enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Epison Jr., in 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Francine Epison of Owensboro; a grandson, Andre C. Epison of Owensboro; two brothers, James V. Hamilton and his wife, Gloria, of Cape Cod, Mass., and James B. Hamilton and his wife, Mabel, of Lewisport; three sisters, Theresa Hill of Los Angeles, Elizabeth Johnson and her husband, Robert, of Owensboro and Beverly Chilton and her husband, James, of Nampa, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament, with the Rev. John Okora officiating. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

Julia L. Euler

NEWBURGH, Ind. - Julia L. Euler, 92, of Newburgh passed away on Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Angel River Health and Rehabilitation Center. Julia was a graduate of Memorial High School. She was a founding member of Garvin Home Economics Club and a charter member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Turner's Women's Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Matthias and Rose (Peters) Unfried; her husband, Alfred F. Euler; a son, James A. Euler; and three brothers, Richard, Raymond and William Unfried.

She is survived by five children, Alice and her spouse, William Czech, of Chicago, Patricia and her spouse, George Martino, of Park Ridge, Ill., Martha and her spouse, Ernest Koehler, of Simi Valley, Calif., Thomas Euler and his spouse, Mary, of South Bend, Ind., and Dorothy and her spouse, James Howell, of Owensboro; a daughter-in-law, Gertrude Euler of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 South Green River Road, Evansville, officiated by the Rev. Raymond Kuper. Burial will follow in St. Joseph cemetery. A visitation will be held on from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the Titzer Family Funeral Home, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh IN 47630, (812) 853-8314. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care, 601 Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Evansville, IN 47713, or VNA, P.O. Larry Kyle Kendall

Larry Kyle Kendall, 42, of Owensboro died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Survivors include a sister, Linda Stockdale.

There are no services or visitation. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Martine Bristow Lynxwiler

EVANSVILLE - Mary Martine Bristow Lynxwiler, 92, of Evansville passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Little Sisters of the Poor in Evansville. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, James W. Crask, Edward Bristow and Harold Lynxwiler; and two sons, James R. Crask and Charles E. Bristow.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cora Preske and her husband, Tom, Rose Layman, and Bonnie Phipps and her husband, Virgil, all of Evansville; two sons, Joseph Bristow and his wife, Delores, of Owensboro and Vincent Lynxwiler and his wife, Linda, of Evansville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at Little Sisters of the Poor. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Little Sisters of the Poor. There will be no visitation or services at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 First Ave., Evansville. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa cemetery in Owensboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1234 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714.

Margaret Andrew Bogle

Margaret Andrew Bogle, 92, of Heritage Place, Owensboro, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Wellington Parc of Owensboro. She was born on Sept. 6, 1912, in Fredericksburg, Ind., to the late Emmett and Gertrude (Mitton) Andrew. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, a former member of Younger Women's Club and had been a volunteer at Wendell Foster's Campus for Developmental Disabilities. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ella Nolan Andrew and Beulah Frances Andrew.

Survivors include her daughter, Beulah Jane Wilson (Allen) of Owensboro; her son, Richard H. Bogle Jr. (Debi) of Auburn; four grandchildren, Melissa Wilson Buckner of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Robert Allen Wilson Jr. (Stephanie) of Atlanta, Leslie Bogle Vanderpool (George) of Auburn and Brooke Bogle McDaniel (Brian) of Auburn; and seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Buckner, Wilson Buckner, Price Wilson, Bennett Wilson, Blake Vanderpool, Ethan McDaniel and Dylan McDaniel.

Services are private and will be held at Horners Chapel cemetery in Washington County, Ind. James H. Davis Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 E. 4th St., Owensboro, KY 42303, Kentucky Wesleyan College, P.O. Nancy J. Robinson Gaddis

Nancy J. Robinson Gaddis, 66, of 2257 N. Stratford Drive, Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She had taught for more than 30 years at Estes Elementary School and Owensboro Middle School, where she was the academic coach and a Kentucky Youth Assembly sponsor. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and Alpha Delta Kappa, a twice Kentucky Colonel and a lifetime member of the National Education Association and the Kentucky Education Association. She had received her BA, MA and Rank I education and was a state fair award winner for her needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Hazel Cundiff Robinson.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Gaddis; two sons, Douglas Gaddis of Kensington, Md., and Tim Gaddis of Franklin, Tenn.; a daughter, Vicki Alvey of Boonville, Ind.; a sister, Janie Robinson of Owensboro; a brother, Doug Robinson of Riverside, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Meagan Alvey, Samantha Alvey and Matt Gaddis.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Glenn Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 2, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill cemetery.

Ruby Carver Pierce

Ruby Carver Pierce, 90, of Owensboro died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born on June 4, 1915, in Rockport, Ind., to the late Walter A. and Goldie Duvall Carver. Mrs. Pierce was a member of First Assembly of God Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was dedicated to her family and church.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Lyman Edwin Pierce; three sons, William E. (and Patty) Pierce of Owensboro, Donald R. (and Nancy) Pierce of Lewisport and Robert L. (and Freddie) Pierce of Dallas; four daughters, Barbara (and Edward) Smith of Maceo, Alisa (and Barry) Witherspoon of Owensboro, Sharon (and Wavie) Johnson of Reed and Dianne (and Robert A.) Hibdon of Chuluota, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Luversa Kamuf and Jean Bunch, both of Owensboro, and Ethel Doss of Rumsey.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First Assembly of God Church.

Lettie Opal Beauchamp Sweeney

GREENVILLE - Lettie Opal Beauchamp Sweeney, 98, of 1013 Kentucky 181 South, Greenville, died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at 5:40 p.m. in Belle Meade Nursing Home after a few month's illness. She was born on June 23, 1907, in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of Charles Granville Beauchamp and Nonie Pearl Allen Beauchamp. She was the oldest member of Friendship Baptist Church in Greenville and loved her church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, George Houston Sweeney, in 1981; and two sisters, Vonnie Smith, in 1986, and Delphia Newman, in 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Ann (Garland) Conn of Greenville and Midge (George) Milam of Benton; two sons, Bobby Wayne (Lequeta) Sweeney of Festos, Mo., and Freddie (Carole) Sweeney of Hopkinsville; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Friendship Baptist Church, by the Rev. Billy Vincent. Burial will be held in Friendship cemetery in Greenville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville. Memorials can be made to the Friendship cemetery Fund, c/o Garland Conn, 1013 Kentucky 181 South, Greenville, KY 42345. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Letta Lucille Groves Williams

GREENVILLE - Letta Lucille Groves Williams, 86, of 1515 Bards Hill Road, Greenville, died Sunday night, July 31, 2005, at 8:25 p.m. in Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville, after several months illness. She was born on Nov. 5, 1918, in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of Claude Groves and Nannie Corley Groves. She was a member of Bards Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Shelby Williams, in 2001.

She is survived by two sons, Melvin (Evelyn) Williams of Graham and James (Ila) Williams of Greenville; a daughter, Carlene Williams Duvall of Greenville; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and six step great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning, Aug. 3, at Bards Hill Baptist Church, by the Rev. Gerald Beliles and the Rev. Jerry Williams. Burial will be held in Vernal Grove cemetery in Depoy. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gary's Funeral Home in Greenville and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
