ROCKPORT, Ind. - Zola Ann Dodson, 69, of Rockport passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was a cook.

Survivors are a son, Frank Dodson; a daughter, Joann Kwarciany; two brothers, James Kitchen and Richard Kitchen; and two sisters, Doris Powell and Jo Lena Dawson.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery in Rockport.

Laura Jane Lanham Green

Laura Jane Lanham Green, 41, of Owensboro died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, as the result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Born Aug. 22, 1964, Ms. Green was a homemaker and member of St. William Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her children, horseback riding, collecting antiques, riding motorcycles and playing softball.

She is survived by two sons, Cody Green and Sheridan Green, both of Owensboro; two daughters, Janie Lee of Owensboro and Olivia Payne of Knottsville; her parents, Kenny and Marguerite Millay Lanham of Owensboro; three brothers, Michael Lanham of Walnut Creek, Calif., and David Lanham and Martin Lanham, both of Friendswood, Texas; a sister, Karen Ruffin of Friendswood; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at St. William Catholic Church in Knottsville. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Prayers will be at 7:30 this evening at the funeral home.

Louis E. Moore Jr.

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - Louis E. Moore Jr., 81, of North Fort Myers, formerly of Fort Thomas, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, in Owensboro. He retired as owner-operator of Moore's Home Improvement Center in Fort Thomas. Mr. Moore owned and operated Weingartner Lumber Supply Co. in Newport before relocating to Fort Thomas in 1983 and changing the name to Moore's Home Improvement Center. He was a member of Fort Thomas Masonic Lodge No. 808 and loved golf and tennis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Fiedler Moore, who died in May 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Becky Cerio of Huntersville, N.C.; two sons, Gregory L. Moore of Owensboro and Bruce E. Moore of Fort Thomas; two sisters, June Maines of Lexington and Margaret McKenna of Fort Thomas; three brothers, Blaine Moore of Glendora, Calif., Dr. Carl L. Moore of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dr. Jerry W. Moore of Zanesville, Ohio; and a friend, June Bridges of North Fort Myers.

Services are at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel in Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Taylor Mill. Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Shriners Hospital, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH.

Jennifer L. Stallings

Jennifer L. Stallings, 53, of 711 Stockton Drive, Owensboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, in Owensboro. She was born on Dec. 20, 1951, in Lancaster, Calif. She was the owner of J&B Stallings Cleaning Service. She loved her cats.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bill Stallings; two sons, Timothy David Bell and Joseph Carl Bell, both of Owensboro; two stepdaughters, Angel Cornelius (Todd) and Carol Stallings (Jason Alsup), all of Owensboro; a stepson, Boyd Stallings (Regina) of Owensboro; nine grandchildren, Jesse and Josey Cornelius, Jonathan, Jude and Justin Stallings, Haley and Zoe Alsup and Amber and Aaron Bell.

Services are at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro. Burial is in Elmwood cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. today and after noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles L. Tichenor

Charles L. Tichenor, 52, of 2409 Middleground Drive, Owensboro, died Sept. 6, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born on May 4, 1953, in Daviess County. He was employed by Century Aluminum as a factory worker, was a member of the Catholic faith, United Steelworkers of America, Local No. 9443, and the Eagles. He enjoyed golf, restoring cars, NASCAR and motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tichenor, in 1984; and a sister, Sharon Tichenor, in 1997.

Surviving are his son, Christopher M. Tichenor of Bowling Green; a daughter, Jill M. Tichenor of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Paige Morton of Owensboro; his mother, Mary Tichenor of Owensboro; a brother, Berry Tichenor and his wife, Vicki of Owensboro; a sister, Kaye Coomes and her husband, Bill, of Owensboro; and three nieces, Jessica Coomes, Mallory Tichenor and Katie Coomes, all of Owensboro.

Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home chapel. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Entombment is at Resurrection cemetery in Owensboro. The Rev. Richard Meredith will be officiating.

HARDINSBURG - D.M. Martin, 86, of Union Star died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was a farmer and an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy White Martin; three children, Kenneth Ray Martin, Robert Dee Martin and Anna "Frankie" Bilinski.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church near Rhodelia. Burial: Cedar Hill cemetery in Stephensport. Visitation: From 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Memorial contributions: American Cancer Society.

Dale Edward Keown

Dale Edward Keown, 50, of 502 Omega St., Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at his home in Owensboro after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Eldorado, Ill. He was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy Ray Keown and John Pat Keown.

Survivors include his mother, Anna L. Keown of Owensboro; his father, W.C. Keown of Boonville, Ind.; two sons, Chad B. Keown of Evansville and Bryan D. Keown of Owensboro; one daughter, Laura J. Keown and her fiancé, Allen V. Bryant of Hartford; two granddaughters, Emily B. Keown and Lindsey C. Bryant of Hartford; three brothers, William Joe Keown (Ruth Ann) of Rockport, Ind., James H. Keown (Vickie) of Rockdale, Texas, and Dennis L. Keown of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Linda Canary of Owensboro and Mary Gerteisen (Jordan) of Owensboro; his beloved friend, Jeannie Pierce; and many nieces, nephews, friends and members of church.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at James H. Davis Funeral Home chapel in Owensboro. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery in Boonville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Dale Keown family.

Martine Manaway Horn

LAS VEGAS - Martine Manaway Horn, 74, of Las Vegas died there Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Horn of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Manaway of Owensboro; two sisters, Louise Crews of Miramar, Fla., and Dorothy Gonzales of Wildwood, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anna Marie Price; her parents, Clifton and Mary Etta Manaway; four brothers, Ivo Manaway, Elmer Manaway, Doug Manaway and Hugh Gilbert Manaway; and two sisters, Thelma Manaway and Catherine Galloway.

Visitation will be held at noon today followed by services at 2 p.m. PST at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.

Donald K. Herrell

HATFIELD, Ind. - Donald K. Herrell, 41, of Hatfield passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at his home from a heart attack.

Don was born in Owensboro on July 9, 1964, to Dennis and Sharon (Krantz) Herrell. He attended Hatfield United Methodist Church and was a member of Cement Finishers Local 692 Area 566. Don was Worshipful Master of Eureka Masonic Lodge No. 397, Eureka Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 132, a Senior DeMolay, and graduated from South Spencer High School in 1983.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers.

Surviving are his parents, Dennis and Sharon Herrell of Hatfield; a brother, Brian Scot Herrell of Rockport, Ind.; grandmothers June Herrell and Virginia McReynolds of Hatfield; a niece, Janaye Herrell; nephews, Brandon Parks and Mason Herrell.

Services are 11 a.m.. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport with the Rev. Reno DeMuth officiating. Burial in Ebenezer cemetery in Richland, Ind.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic Service is 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana Masonic Home Foundation.

CENTRAL CITY - Nona Maude Butler, 89, of Central City died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Parview Hospital in Nashville.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Street.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery in Central City.

BEECHMONT - Bobby Dean Hunt, 74, of Beechmont died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at his home. He worked at Swift Packing Co. as a factory worker and attended Mount Moriah Church of Christ in Dunmor.

Survivors include a sister, Margie Nell Vance.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Burial: New Hebron cemetery in Dunmor. Visitation: From 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
