Brandy Jane Gracie Frazier-Smith, infant daughter of Misty Frazier and Douglas Smith, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System.
Other survivors include three brothers, Zackary, Bradley and Kasey Frazier-Smith; two sisters, Katey Frazier-Smith and Jessica Frazier; her maternal grandfather, Michael John Frazier Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Arnold and Glenda Smith; her paternal great-grandparents, Avery and Lorene Smith; and her maternal great-grandfather, Henry Joseph Frazier.
Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elmwood cemetery. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Thelma Miller Clements

BEAVER DAM - Thelma Miller Clements, 93, of McHenry died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Colonial Trace Nursing Home in Sebree. She had been a factory employee and was a member of McHenry Baptist Church.
Graveside services: 2 p.m. today at Render Memorial cemetery in McHenry. William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is in charge of arrangements.
William Thomas 'Bill' Moore

William Thomas "Bill" Moore, 80, of 8450 Highway 815, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Greenville, S.C., to Thomas Roe and Nannie Cox Moore, he graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a bachelor of divinity degree and a theological master's degree. The Rev. Moore had pastored two churches in South Carolina, one in Tennessee, and Home Mission Board in New Orleans, and was an instructor of seminary studies for Union Baptist College in New Orleans and a director of North Tulsa Baptist Center for six years. A director of interracial work for the Baptist State Convention of Michigan, he was also a liaison with the African-American Baptist Convention for 17 years. One of the founders of Habitat for Humanity in Owensboro, the Rev. Moore had served on the Human Relations Commission for several years and the Greenwood cemetery restoration committee. The Moores retired in Owensboro in 1986 to Peace Acres in West Daviess County. The Rev. Moore authored two books on race relations, a Bible study on the Lord's Prayer, to be published in Fall 2005, and numerous articles in the Baptist Today, Baptist Peace Makers and the Kentucky Baptist Western Recorder. He had made seven mission trips to Jamaica, Botswana, the Czech Republic, Nicaragua, twice to Guatemala, and a trip to Liberia as a delegate for voting elections observer. The Rev. Moore had also served on the Kentucky Disaster Relief Team in two states, Florida and Kentucky. A brother, Jasper Moore, preceded him in death.
He was an avid gardener, providing fruits and vegetables for a host of people, and a runner and jogger. A cabinet full of ribbons, medals and trophies was prominent on the shelves for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jean Burdette Moore; two sons, Allen Moore of Boulder, Colo., and Wayne S. Moore of Owensboro; a daughter, Pamela Sue Schoon of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Nancy Sloan and Zulieme Ball; a sister-in-law, Midge Moore; and three precious granddaughters, Hilary Schoon, Erica Schoon and Megan Schoon.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Third Baptist Church, with visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brushy Fork cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Habitat for Humanity or Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America.

William Dickens

Mr. William Dickens, 73, of 6631 Thoreau Village, Masonville, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1932, to the late Hardin and Daisy Vanover Dickens in Daviess County. He was a member of Masonville Baptist Church, an Army veteran of the Korean War and was retired after 47 years from Green River Electric. He enjoyed boating at Rough River and spending time with and cooking for his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nila Dickens, on May 12, 2003; and by a twin brother, Merle Wilson, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Montgomery and her husband, Gary, of Owensboro, Debbie Abney and her husband, Barry, of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Amber, Tyler and Adam Montgomery and Heath and Matt Abney; three great-grandchildren; a companion, Olga Kelley of Owensboro; three brothers and their wives, Gerald (Shirley) Wilson of Houston, David (Ann) Wilson of Owensboro and Jack (Linda) Wilson of Calhoun.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home, with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military honors will be presented by VFW Post No. 696 at the cemetery. HAWESVILLE - Lois E. Bell, 89, of Bedford, formerly of Hawesville, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at a daughter's home in Bedford. She was born in Hardin County on Oct. 6, 1915, to the late Dewey and Bessie Smallwood Sketers. She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey Helm, in 1968, and Elmer Bell, in 1997; and a son, James Helm, in 2003.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Patterson of Bedford, Wilma Cardwell and her husband, James, of Bedford and Margaret Helm of Louisville; six sons, Raymond Helm and his wife, Opal, of Idaho, Robert Helm and his wife, Sheila, of Louisville, Lenord Helm and his wife, Patty, of Lewisport, Berney Helm and his wife, Carol, of Lewisport, William Helm and his wife, Margaret, of Louisville and Ronald Helm and his wife, Minnie, of Louisville; two sisters, Alberta Reed of Louisville and Molly Kringle of Georgia; 37 grandchildren; and more than 68 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Union Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 7 to 10:20 a.m. Wednesday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville.
Betty Ann Lee

Betty Ann Lee, 66, of 3563 Bold Forbes Way, Owensboro, passed away on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Union County to the late James and Sylvia Brown Lamb. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and had been a hairdresser. She was a volunteer with the Youth Bowling League at Bowlodrome and loved bowling, playing cards and spending time with her grandson, Jared Payne. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Lee Payne, in 1999; and a sister, Margaret Maxwell, in 2003.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Gary D. Lee; a son, Sylvan Lee of Utica; a daughter and her husband, Vicki and Ken Ashworth of Philpot; a sister and her husband, Jane and Welby Sellers of Eddyville; one grandchild, Jared Payne; and several nieces and nephews; and two aunts.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3 at Glenn Funeral Home chapel with entombment following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mary Josephine Wimsatt Whittaker

Mary Josephine Wimsatt Whittaker, 74, loving wife and mother, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, in Wichita, Kan. She was born on July 11, 1931, in Owensboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ivy Wimsatt. She was the youngest of 13 children. Mary Josephine was loved and adored by all who knew her.
Survivors include her loving husband, Manuel Carl Whittaker, whom she married
on Oct. 25, 1947; a son, Tony C. Whittaker of Wichita; two brothers, James Leonard Wimsatt of Owensboro and Eugene Wimsatt of Clyde, Texas; and five sisters, Frances Ingersoll of Dallas, Pauline Galloway and Jean Tichenor, both of Ontario, Ore., Bea Wimsatt of Owensboro and Elizabeth Mutch of Ontario.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, with evangelist Anne Tittle officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Fordie Mae Lindsey Payne

Fordie Mae Lindsey Payne, 83, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Hillcrest Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Owensboro, and was a former employee of Hillcrest Nursing Home and a member of the Catholic Faith.
She is survived by a son, James Arlie Brown of Kingsport, Tenn., a daughter, Charlotte J. Conder of Owensboro; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three nieces and two nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Resurrection cemetery, with Father Freddie Byrd officiating.
Katheryn McElvain

BEECHMONT - Katheryn McElvain, 90, of 3293 Highway 246, Beechmont, died at 6:33 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, at her home. She was born on May 12, 1915, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of Belton Pentecostal. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Odie McElvain; a daughter, Freida Simonson; and a son, Raymond McElvain.
Survivors include her husband, Adrian Jones of Central City; two sons, Tom McElvain (wife, Mae) of Beechmont and Gary McElvain (wife, Olga) of Dunedin, Fla.; a daughter, Kay Silcox (husband, Gary) of Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Bea Elschide of Owensboro, Novella Lynch of Graham and Jean Mayes of Central City.
Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Roy Loney officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Central City. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

HARDINSBURG - Eugene Thomas Douglas, 73, of Hardinsburg died there Friday, Sept. 30, 2005. He retired from civil service and was a member of Talbert Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret J. Douglas; two sons, Dennis Douglas and Christopher Douglas; four daughters, Carolyn Peyton, Tina Douglas, Laura Ann Douglas and Gina Douglas Elam; a brother, Charles Douglas; and two sisters, Margaret Cargle and Louise Davis.

Anna Mae Bryant

Anna Mae Bryant, 96, formerly of 1317 Burlew Blvd., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. Born in Decherd, Tenn., to the late Ross and Minnie Woodward Williams, Mrs. Bryant had worked as a housekeeper for the Fuqua, Field and O'Flynn families. Mrs. Bryant attended Sweeney Street Baptist Church and loved cooking, entertaining, shopping and riding the bus. She had attended Compassionate Care Adult Day Care and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Bryant Sr.; a daughter, Stella Rose Bryant; and two brothers, J.D. Williams and Michael Williams.
Survivors include a son, George W. Bryant Jr. of Owensboro; a daughter, Daisy Bryant James and her husband, Roy, of Owensboro; grandchildren Keith L. Bryant, Georgia A. Bryant and Shannon R. Burroughs; great-grandchildren Keith L. Bryant II, Keasha Bryant, Macee A. Bryant, AnnaBelle Bryant, Cheyenne Bryant, Kanada Bryant, Chasity Cline, Phillip Murphy Jr., Tamara Murphy and Dante McHenry; several nieces and nephews; and a very good family friend, Paul Worth of Lexington.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Glenn Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
