SMITH MILLS, Ky. — O.H. Beck, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at his home.
He was a farmer and carpenter.
He was a member of the Geneva Methodist Church.
Surviving are five sons, Walter and Steve, both of Smith Mills, and Tony, David and Johnnie, all of Henderson; four sisters, Scarlett Herron, Linda Fulkerson and Catherine Newman, all of Henderson, and Naomi Harris of Indiana; four brothers, Calvin, Alvin, Pete and Larry, all of Henderson; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Smith Mills cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
James Wiggins
MADISONVILLE, Ky. — James Edward “J.E.” Wiggins, 73, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at his home.
He was an iron worker and member of the Madison Avenue Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Mary; three sisters, Betty Thurby of Denver, Norma Todd of Madisonville and Eva Cobb of Owensboro; a brother, Leslie of Sacramento; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with entombment in Forest Lawn Memorial Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time at the funeral home.

Nannie Bidwell
ISLAND, Ky. — Nannie Ellen “Granny” Bidwell, 101, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
She was a member of the New Cypress Cumberland Presbyterian Church in McLean County.
Surviving are a daughter, Emogene Banks of Owensboro; a sister, Clarice Mayo of Owensboro; a brother, Elsworth West of Semiway; three grandsons, Tommy Jr., Larry G. and Michael Ray Banks; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Clay, died in 1963.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Home Livermore Chapel, with burial in New Cypress cemetery.

Mildred Moore
OWENSBORO, Ky. — Mildred E. Moore, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System of respiratory failure.
She was a seamstress for Levinson’s Men’s Store.
She was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Moore Allen of Owensboro; three sons, Joseph Church, and Daniel D. Jr. and Jason G. Moore, all of Owensboro; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood cemetery.

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Don Wright, 55, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
He was the owner and operator of Don’s Bargain House.
He was an Air Force veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori Wright of Princeton; two sons, Eddie of Dawson Springs and Rodney Walls of England; two brothers, Larry and Frankie, both of Princeton; two grandchildren, Erick Greer and Donna-Kay Wright; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Morgan’s Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.
Infant Rebecca Pleasant
MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Rebecca Lynn Pleasant, 2l-month-old daughter of Jennifer Lynn Pleasant McGregor of Madisonville and Samuel Back of Nortonville, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
Also surviving are a sister, Emily Renee Back of Madisonville; grandmothers, Susan Back and Linda Joles; grandfather, Norman Pleasant Sr.; and great-grandmothers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Grapevine cemetery.

Martha Harris
OWENSBORO, Ky. — Martha H. “Faye” Harris, 94, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
She retired from General Electric.
She was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church and Eastern Star.
Surviving is a sister, Sue Hatfield of Owensboro.
Her husband, William Everett, died in 1972.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with burial in Rosehill cemetery.

Paul Meinschein
POOLE, Ky, — Paul W. Meinschein, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Winter Haven Hospital in Florida.
He was a retired chemist.
He was a member of the Killwinning Masonic Lodge in Detroit and the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gertie; a brother, George of Winter Haven, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, with burial in Shady Grove cemetery in Poole.

Ishmael Miller
SACRAMENTO, Ky. — Ishmael Miller, 92, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at his home.
He had been a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Scottish Rite, the Eastern Star and the Sacramento Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years. He was past master for four terms.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean Gist of Owensboro and Glenda Stroud of Sacramento; a foster daughter, Jennie Sue Bozarth of Owensboro; a son, Wendell Louis of Owensboro; three sisters, Beatrice Henderson of Lexington, Thurlow Brown of Owensboro and Lela Bramlett of Michigan; a brother, Elza “Chic” of Owensboro; four grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife, Nina Marie, died in 1999.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tucker Memorial Chapel, with burial in Memorial Gardens cemetery in Owensboro.

Jewell Law
OWENSBORO, Ky. — Jewell M. Law, 68, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.
She had been in the dry cleaning business.
Surviving are two sisters, Pauline Law and Sharon Duckwall, both of Owensboro; three brothers, James A. Law Jr. of Riverside, Calif., Tommie Law of Owensboro and Ronnie Law of Beaver Dam; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood cemetery.

CALHOUN, Ky. — Yvonne (Maxwell) Craig, 49, of Irvington, Ala., formerly of Calhoun, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at the Knollwood Park Hospital in Mobile, Ala., of a heart attack.
She was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, needlework and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, J.B. Jr.; a daughter, Sharon Yvette Craig of Irvington; a son, J.B. III of Irvington; her parents, Johnny and Dorothy Maxwell of Calhoun; three sisters, Vicki Austin and Joy Diane Pannell, both of Calhoun, and Donna Sue Luck of Owensboro; a brother, Darrell Lynn of Calhoun; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Vernon cemetery in McLean County.
