STURGIS, Ky. — Barbara J. Milligan, 65, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at the Methodist Hos-pital in Morganfield of myocardial infarction.

She was a member of Peace Rebecca Lodge, Eastern Star and White Shrine.

Surviving are her husband, Eugene; three daughters, Jeanon Bivins and Michelle Clark, both of Sturgis, and Susan Miller of Branson, Mo.; a son, Tory Austin of Sturgis; two brothers, Jimmy Bivins of Dixon and Dwight Bivins of Clay; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial in Grangertown cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Clare Adams

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Clare Bell Adams, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home.

She was a member of Grapevine Holiness Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Bessie Gibson of Madisonville; two sisters, Cordie Adams of Madisonville and Katherine Blanchard of Manitou; two brothers, James and Ira Bryant, both of Madisonville; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alford, a daughter and two sons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Grapevine cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at Harris Funeral Home.

Ruby Hardin

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — Ruby Baker Hardin, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.

She owned and operated Ruby’s Beauty Shop.

She was a member of Lewistown Christian Church.

Surviving are three sisters, Iva Glass of Pekin, Ill., Lois Howton of Westland, Mich., and Syble McChesney of Bowling Green.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Lance Nichols cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

William Music

DAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. — William Music, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton.

He retired from the Kentucky Division of Forestry.

He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Freida; a daughter, Janice Almon of Dawson Springs; four sons, Darwin Andrew, Doug and David, all of Christian County, and Wayne of Owensboro; a sister, Edna Sherman of Americus, Ga.; a brother, Theodore of Newport News, Va.; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Edna, died in 1967.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beshear Funeral Home, with burial in Rosedale cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Thelma Gray

HENDERSON, Ky. — Thelma M. Gray, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ.

Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Gray of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, James H. of Evansville; a sister, Mamie Faver of Evansville; a brother, Robert LeRoy of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Harold H., died in 1987.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Tapp Funeral Home, with burial in Fairmont cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Linda Overfield

HENDERSON, Ky. — Linda G. Overfield, 96, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of Christadelphia Ecclesia.

Surviving are a son, James M. of Robards; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Lilburn Dale, died in 1986.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Valley cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Hill Pryor

ROBARDS, Ky. — Hill Pryor, 65, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. He was Protestant.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Dorothy; three daughters, Laura Marie McDaniel and Mary Mayes, both of Robards, and Sandra Kay Abney of Reed; three sons, William D. of Corydon, Daniel R. of Evansville and David Wilson of Waverly; a sister, Hazel Stafford of Portland, Tenn.; a half sister, Madeline Mayberry of Cookeville, Tenn.; a half brother, Gordon Haney of Gallatin, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mary Lynch

STURGIS, Ky. — Mary V. Lynch, 100, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield.

She had been a foster mother to more than 50 children.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann Applin Quirey of Sturgis; two sons, James Ishmael of Port Gibson, Miss., and Charles Ray of Boxville; two sisters, Euretha McClain of Henderson and Effie Cowan of Sturgis; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren. Her husband of 56 years, Claude, died in 1973, a daughter, Dorothy, died in 1922 and a son, Corbett, died in 1942.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Whitsell Funeral Home, with burial in Pythian Ridge.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m to service time at the funeral home.

Verdie Duncan

DIXON, Ky. — Verdie Duncan, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She retired from General Electric. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Sue Winstead of Slaughters and Margaret Kuttler of Madisonville; a son, Chester of Hanson; two sisters, Clara Hardman and Delia Sparkman, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Chester Haleman of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Ray L., died in 1991.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Baptist Church, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Townsend Funeral Home and 1 p.m. to service time at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

William Wilhite

CALHOUN, Ky. — William S. “Jack” Wilhite, 92, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, in Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

He retired after 30 years as owner and operator of Motor Electric. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ and Kentucky Automotive Wholesalers Association.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret P.; a stepdaughter, Ruth Stiles of Owensboro; two sons, Joe of Owensboro and John of Plano, Texas; a stepson, Joseph Dohoney of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. His first wife, Anna Catherine (Ambrose), died in 1969.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Muster Funeral Home, with burial in Calhoun cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calhoun United Methodist Church building fund.

William Stoltz

MADISONVILLE, Ky. — William “Ted” Stoltz, 95, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Madisonville Regional Medical Center.

He owned Quality Cleaners.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Louise Pride of Morganfield and Gloria Ethridge of Newburgh, Ind.; a son, James of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

His wife of 74 years, Tennie Catherine, died in 1999.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green River Hospice.
